My husband and I came in on Valentine's Day for a quick dinner. The place was not very busy at all with only a few tables with people at them. We were greeted quickly and sat near the bar. After sitting for about 10 minutes the manager or owner, I'm assuming, came up and asked if we had been helped, we hadn't. He apologized and got a waitress to come over. After that the server came over a lot to check in. I got a virgin margarita that was so pretty, it had sparkles in it and was the desert pear flavor. It was very good and not too sweet. To eat I got the street tacos, grilled chicken, barbacoa, and asada. The grilled chicken and barbacoa had a lot of flavor and was very good. The asada tacos did not have a lot of flavor so it was not my favorite. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience but it was a bit disappointing when the place wasn't busy it took so long for someone to come over and get our drink orders. read more

We came in at 7 on a Friday. The dinner rush was filtering out but still slightly busy so we were patient for our server to come up and take our drink order. It took a little longer for him to come back for the food order but we chatted and hung out. The food itself took over 45 mins and our order was taken after half the restaurant had filtered out. It was 817 before half the food was put on the table and after 825 before everyone had their plates and the tortillas to go with them. No salsa or chip refills in this time. We had a party of 10 but only 8 orders, 3 of which were street tacos. The server was nice, the food was food but the wait was crazy. read more

Can't believe I haven't posted a review of this absolute GO-TO for us. We regularly visit here since it's less than a mile from our house. But we would drive further if we needed to because the clean, delicious menu with fresh, made-to-order goodies is worth it. I've had a number of menu items and pretty much loved all of them. They have some great unique and clean items on the menu for us (staying away from grains and wheat). The Mahi Mahi Adobo is the top! But there's others, only warning would be the dishes with Queso or cheese sauce on them, they can tend to go a little heavy, so consider asking for it in the side if that's a concern. Great, reasonably priced cocktail options and an "unofficial" kids menu(just ask) will keep us coming back. Always good, friendly service too, even when it's packed. read more

We have been here couple of times before and they lost us (2 customers) today. We came here at 6.30 pm and left without having dinner at 8 pm. The waitress kept telling us that our food will be ready in 5 minutes - for 1-1/2 hours! They were busy, but they were not short staffed. Everyone came after us, got their food. And we only ordered few tacos, not a complicated meal. They have the least comfortable chairs, their chips were ok but salsa tasted bad. We will not return. read more

Casa Mia is a fun, delicious spot to grab a drink and some tasty Mexican food. The service isn't overly quick but the staff is friendly. They offer trivia every Wednesday night. My one complaint is how LOUD it is inside. You have to scream to have a conversation with someone across the table from you. read more

The freshest margaritas and cocktails! Casa Mia is easily one of our favorite Mexican places. We frequent both the New Town & St. Peters locations. Both are great! The location at New Town has such a fun and lively ambiance. The music is always great too. There is also tons of outdoor seating as well. What makes Casa Mia our favorite is how FRESH all of the ingredients taste. The drinks are hand-shaken and made with fresh juices. You can taste the difference! No jugs or pre-made marg mix here. The paloma is hands down my all time favorite. They make the best Paloma ever!! So light and fresh and delicious, rimmed with Tajin. The veggies and meat are also so fresh and delicious! I love it all. They try very hard to deliver quick and attentive service. It can get pretty busy here on weekend nights & volleyball game nights. Danny is the owner and we frequently see him at both locations helping out where he can and bartending. He goes above and beyond to show his customers his appreciation. read more

They gave me beef instead of chorizo and instead of refunding me the $4 they are asking me to text their boss some Danny guys a picture off my personal phone of the food? Very unprofessional for $4. Also the whole reason I had to click chorizo is they made it a "requirement" to update my protein so they MADE ME click an extra protein. I even called the restaurant before ordering just to let them know about the problem and he said if I still ordered online, he'll just refund me cause I was just about to place the order over the phone so I just don't get what the whole deal is? This was quite simply the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. To start off we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. At first we didn't mind the wait since we just got done playing volleyball and had to kill some time. Around an hour and 15 minutes I asked our server how much longer the food will be, which he brushed me off and said shortly. I then saw a gentleman, later discovered to be the owner, come out and apologize to the table next to us. The owner then came and apologized to us and I asked him to please check how much longer our food will be due to us now having to leave in 15 minutes. Well, he never came back. Instead we watched him sit around inside and drink beers with his friends. At this point, I confronted the owner and told him it was simply the worst experience i've ever had. All he could respond with is that he gave me half off my bill and would've paid for my drinks but we weren't drinking. How an owner can sit around and watch their customers, this was MULTIPLE tables, be pissed off and not do anything to help it is insane to me. Not to mention during all of this my friend, who came after we ordered our food and drinks, was sitting around for over an hour and our waitress failed to even ask if she wanted food, drinks or even acknowledge she was there. We finally got our food and I will admit the food was decent but maybe like 20 minute wait good. After we got our bill, which was $21 after the 50% off, I gave our server $40 in cash and requested change back. I sat around for 15 minutes while I watched the server stand around at the back of the restaurant. My girlfriend then goes in and finally gets our change to which she comes back out with $9. $10 SHORT. I then have to go back in and confront the server to which he just gave me my $40 back in total. The lack of professionalism, respect, and overall knowledge of how to run a restaurant at this store is terrible. I do not recommend this restaurant at all!!! Side note: the restaurant was slightly busy towards the beginning but died down about 40 MINUTES into my wait for my food. read more

Excellent food. Friendly staff Lovely environment. Doing well navigating the current job shortage by bringing in people that drive a long distance. Food is def midwest mexican which prob isn't a bad thing since it's in the midwest. Coming from the west coast we're used to a bit more spice and while I did ask for some heat, they sliced the hottest jalapeno I've ever had and put the whole thing in my burrito. Made reservations for 7 people at 6:00. Was trivia night and trivia started at 7. We like to eat and be finished with our meal before trivia starts. Unfortunately, somehow the right people didn't know about the reservation so we had no table when we arrived at 6. 45 minutes later, 4 of us were seated. The other 3 got seated about 10 minutes later. Very poor organization, but mistakes happen. The server brought chips and salsa to the table. About 5 minutes later, the server comes to the table and asks, "Ready?" Informed her that menus might be helpful before we can order. She comes back a few minutes later and takes our orders. I'm thinking we're good to go now. Trivia is starting and I'm just ready to enjoy the night. Within minutes the server returns with a large tray with our drinks. She very confidently calls out the names of the sodas, though they all looked the same. I was impressed. Temporarily. She forgot to bring my water. I ordered Dr. Pepper. The person across from me ordered Coke. My Dr. Pepper turned out to be a Diet Coke. The Coke across the table turned out to be Dr. Pepper. Called over the server and got fresh drinks. The right ones. Few minutes later, the server brought our meals. Except instead of 2 grilled chicken soft tacos, I got 2 shrimp soft tacos. Again called her over. She argued with me. "You ordered shrimp tacos." I explained that I most definitely did not as I don't eat shrimp. Ever. I haven't ordered any kind of shrimp dish in my entire life. She took it away. However when I received my 2 grilled chicken tacos (I had asked them not to put cheese on it), each taco had about 1.5 ounces of grilled chicken and maybe 1/8 cup of lettuce. Just a few large pieces of shredded lettuce in each taco. Every single thing was wrong. Each one by itself could have been easily overlooked. Will not overlook missing every single thing. Didn't have the reservation, no menus, forgot my water, gave me Diet Coke instead of Dr Pepper, and gave me shrimp tacos instead of grilled chicken tacos. AND blamed the taco mistake on me and really skimped on the ingredients of the tacos. I actually like lettuce in my tacos. Yet I was charged the full price. No discount. I should not have had to ask. Absolutely disgraceful. I will never eat here again. If trivia is ever held at this location again, I will eat before coming and will get water. read more

I'll start with the positives, Food was really good and the atmosphere is a good time and the restaurant is overall very clean. NEGATIVES: ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS SERVICE!!! Sat down at 6:00pm and it took almost 20 minutes for our waitress to come over. If we asked for anything (food,water,drinks,chips) it was at least a 15-20 minute wait and the craziest part is that the restaurant wasn't busy... Once we got our food, we asked for one plate of extra rice and were able to eat the entirely of our meal before the rice even arrived at the table. Once we got our check we had to walk up to the chip station to even be able to pay our bill. Made a reservation for 6pm. Got there 5:50 told they don't have my reservation then told they gave it to someone with the same name. Ask for the manager "he wasn't there" then we inquired about the handful of empty tables. So 15min later sat us. Ordered a couple drinks it only took 20min to get then we had to ask 3 times. The manager came by asked how things were going ... oh wait the manger wasn't there ... BS. Told him a lime would be nice & we'd like to order. He said absolutely then went straight to the patio to ask others what they need. We eventually ordered waited 45mn told the waiter we had to leave for a ticketed event in 15min. He then said oh would you like it to go. This place is a bunch of idiots. No one loves Mexican more than me. This place had plenty of workers & was not busy maybe 10 tables. Went to Casa Mia's on Tuesday around 630 pm. It was busy therefore the service was a bit slow. Which is understandable. The food was good. No different from any other Mexican restaurant. The drinks were amazing! My biggest complaint would be the seating lol. The woven leather straps for a backing and seat were uncomfortable. They have zero support. Waited a long time for this place to open in New Town and we were excited when it finally happened. We've eaten there a few times and these are our observations Pros: Convenient, Food is ok, not bad just your average Mexican fare. Service is friendly. Cons: Very loud. Hours are inconsistent, but I guess that's becoming more the norm in restaurants these days unfortunately. Service although friendly seems a bit chaotic. We love this place! We tried it because it's above our karate school and keep going back because it's great. We love the selection of cocktails, the chips/salsa is always flowing, the service is good and the food is great! My favorite is the torta, but everything we've tried is delicious. Well I wanted to like this place so much but it was awful. The salsa was basically ketchup. I ordered hot sauce and it tasted almost like it was soured. The margarita was okay. My burrito was pork instead of ground beef and they never did bring out a replacement and my husbands burrito was cold. Their receipt was not itemized so I couldn't even see what I was paying for.
