Mahi Mahi Adobo - amazing dish with roasted cauliflower and avocado salad(chunky guac?). So good.
    John D.

Can't believe I haven't posted a review of this absolute GO-TO for us. We regularly visit here since it's less than a mile from our house. But we would drive further if we needed to because the clean, delicious menu with fresh, made-to-order goodies is worth it. I've had a number of menu items and pretty much loved all of them. They have some great unique and clean items on the menu for us (staying away from grains and wheat). The Mahi Mahi Adobo is the top! But there's others, only warning would be the dishes with Queso or cheese sauce on them, they can tend to go a little heavy, so consider asking for it in the side if that's a concern. Great, reasonably priced cocktail options and an "unofficial" kids menu(just ask) will keep us coming back. Always good, friendly service too, even when it's packed.

We have been here couple of times before and they lost us (2 customers) today. We came here at 6.30 pm and left without having dinner at 8 pm. The waitress kept telling us that our food will be ready in 5 minutes - for 1-1/2 hours! They were busy, but they were not short staffed. Everyone came after us, got their food. And we only ordered few tacos, not a complicated meal. They have the least comfortable chairs, their chips were ok but salsa tasted bad. We will not return.

Casa Mia is a fun, delicious spot to grab a drink and some tasty Mexican food. The service isn't overly quick but the staff is friendly. They offer trivia every Wednesday night. My one complaint is how LOUD it is inside. You have to scream to have a conversation with someone across the table from you.

The freshest margaritas and cocktails! Casa Mia is easily one of our favorite Mexican places. We frequent both the New Town & St. Peters locations. Both are great! The location at New Town has such a fun and lively ambiance. The music is always great too. There is also tons of outdoor seating as well. What makes Casa Mia our favorite is how FRESH all of the ingredients taste. The drinks are hand-shaken and made with fresh juices. You can taste the difference! No jugs or pre-made marg mix here. The paloma is hands down my all time favorite. They make the best Paloma ever!! So light and fresh and delicious, rimmed with Tajin. The veggies and meat are also so fresh and delicious! I love it all. They try very hard to deliver quick and attentive service. It can get pretty busy here on weekend nights & volleyball game nights. Danny is the owner and we frequently see him at both locations helping out where he can and bartending. He goes above and beyond to show his customers his appreciation.

    Overcharge

THEY REQUIRED ME TO UPGRADE THEN WONT REFUND ME!!! DISPUTE! They gave me beef instead of chorizo and instead of refunding me the $4 they are asking me to text their boss some Danny guys a picture off my personal phone of the food? Very unprofessional for $4. Also the whole reason I had to click chorizo is they made it a "requirement" to update my protein so they MADE ME click an extra protein. I even called the restaurant before ordering just to let them know about the problem and he said if I still ordered online, he'll just refund me cause I was just about to place the order over the phone so I just don't get what the whole deal is? How weird and unprofessional. Been coming here for YEARS because I live down the road. Never coming here again! The guy on the phone kept saying they gave me chorizo. But I asked for beef?? Huh??

Casa Mia opened in New Town St. Charles recently and I couldn't be happier. The atmosphere is refreshing, the food is always on point, and the service is great. The staff is always nice and welcoming.

The lighting and music were at a good level to keep a conversation and see the menu. The menu is huge, and you can find anything you want on it. The chips were typical corn tortilla chips, but the salsa was outstanding, not too hot, and plenty of cilantro for your taste buds. The main dishes arrived in a decent time. I had the spicy Tacos with chicken and chorizo; it was fantastic, a little spicy. The chorizo had a smoky flavor, and the chicken was not tough. Side dishes, rice, and beans. The rice was not sticky at all, and the beans had a smoky flavor unlike that of other Mexican restaurants. They were very tasty. The extra beef taco was filled with beef, no shortcuts there. Wife had the pableno dish. I tried the beef, which was very tender, and the pableno was excellent. My daughter and my wife said the shrimp were bigger than at most restaurants and had a great flavor. ( I'm allergic and could not try the shrimp) My daughter's dish was the spicy Nachos. Again, the beef was the most tender I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant, and I loved the white cheese queso and chorizo. It all just came together. This Mexican Restaurant is definitely a winner in my book. I will be back to try many other dishes. By the way, we went on a Monday night around 7:00 pm, it was not very busy at all.

This location was very close to where we were. It was the perfect time to try it! Ambiance: I really love the esthetics of the restaurant. The floral arrangements in the front is very inviting and added a great touch. I also loved the covered outdoor seating areas available, along with the indoor option. We surprisingly opted to sit outside, because heat is not my friend. The industrial fan definitely helped! I felt like I was sitting on one of friend's veranda in the carribean Food: I really enjoyed the food. Tacos are a la carte. For appetizer we opted for the Trifecta which came with guac, queso, and rojo salsa. Let me just say, their happy hour deals are a great steal! Order: There are a couple different ways to order & pay. Use the traditional way of having the server take our order by raising the card "Lets Taco Buddha it," or by scanning the QR code and placing order yourself & pay online. At first, I started the online order because I felt like this would allow me more time to read the menu and order on my own terms. I ended up raising my card and having someone take my order despite having it all in my cart. Tacos are served "family style" comes out on the same platter. We opted for the Baja ( battered pallock) & The Jodhpur (marinated grilled chicken). The kiddos opted for the quesadillas and fried chicken taco. Everything was flavorful (with the exception of their hot/mild sauces, those were flavorless, however not necessary to add). Not going to lie, I made a joke to my mom about the food being served on a surgical tray or "doggy platter." LOL lol. Service: They use a team model. I saw multiple staff going throughout the restaurant checking on needs & refilling water pitchers. Everyone was really nice, they had small toys for children to play with at the table and it's always a plus when they strike up a conversation with my kiddos. Parking: We arrived shortly after 4pm and there were lots of spots available. By the time we were leaving, there were two cars waiting for spots. It is also located alongside a busy street, the restaurant did get packed for dinner on a weekday. Pricing: Prices does add up very pretty quickly, however 1 Taco can be very filling especially if you opted for appetizers. The only thing I would have changed is not to order my meal the same time as my appetizer. It came out almost together. I would have liked to enjoyed the appetizers prior to my entrée.

The Nashville was really solid, but the Truth or Consequences and the McCausland are the real stars. Both are super unique and absolutely packed with flavor. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu. 100% love what they've got going on here.

Even on a quiet Thursday night with only one other table present, the staff didn't show much engagement or interest in guiding us through the menu. This lack of attentiveness was disappointing, especially since the restaurant was nearly empty. In the past, I would have rated Nixta very highly, but now I'd place it around three/four stars due to the service issues. In summary, the food remains good, but unless the service improves, it's hard to wholeheartedly recommend it for a full dining experience.

One thing that also stood out was that much of the time when I go to Mexican restaurants, the portions are pretty big for the prices. The portions were definitely not tiny, but smaller than I would maybe expect for a Mexican restaurant for the price that we paid.
