We came in for a girls night and the atmosphere was very inviting. It is very loud so I would say this is not recommended for anything as far as the first date or anything of that nature unless you're socially awkward and the background noise might be helpful ha ha ha Our server was very kind, but she couldn't really understand us when we asked for certain things so sometimes we had to have another gentleman come over that was working interpret We got a shrimp cocktail and it was very soupy. Not a lot of shrimp. I had the steak fajitas, but they were smothered and onion, and really only steak and peppers not a whole bunch of consistency besides that We got giant margaritas, which were delicious The building was decorated very cute. They had a small heater in the front. It was like a little fireplace a floral wall floor walls within the restaurant. It was very beautifully decorated.

What a delightful meal! Orion was a pleasure, attentive but not over bearing. The food was real. It was fresh tasting and amazing. You want REAL Mexican food? This is the place! A great atmosphere and Level Up within walking distance to continue your time. A great family night, and a great date night! Go!!!

Carnitas Street Tacos

Loved our dinner at Casa. We have wanted to go there for a while and it didn't disappoint. When we arrived there was a 20-minute wait; they don't take reservations. The place was hoppin'. The vibe was very party with Christmas decorations and lights strung up. Service was good. They were really busy and everyone was helping everyone else so we had good service. We started with a regular margarita, no flavors. It was huge and delicious. I had the carnitas street tacos and they were delish. I also had a side of black beans, because I love them and they did not disappoint. One person had the Molcajete, which was a steak, chicken and shrimp combo - a huge meal. He had to take some home. Happy we went and we will be back!

So good! Food was delicious, service was top notch, and this restaurant is huge. They also have cute walls to take photos. Looking forward to coming back over summer to enjoy the rooftop.

Fixings for the chicken fajitas
John K.

I ordered the chicken fajitas. This was the first time of being served micro pieces of chicken. All the chicken was diced into small pieces. I was hunting for the chicken amongst the onions and bell peppers. The chicken was tender and tasty but Way To Small. Unfortunately the beans and rice were barely lukewarm. Very disappointing! I liked the vibe of the restaurant and service was very good.

neon sign in the dining area

Casa Tequila Cantina & Grill knows how to win hearts (and stomachs). We kicked things off with their chunky guacamole -- fresh chopped avocados, pico de gallo, and cheese, all piled high and served with freshly made puffy tortilla chips that are basically little clouds of crunch. For mains, I went with the mushroom and steak fajitas plus a side of cheese (because life's too short not to add cheese). My wife wasn't feeling steak, so they happily switched hers to chicken and mushroom fajitas -- and wow, both versions were sizzling, flavorful, and worth every bite. Splitting that extra cheese? Best decision of the night. The atmosphere sealed the deal -- fun, vibrant, and yes, there's a glowing neon sign that says "Feed me tacos and tell me I'm pretty." Honestly, those are words to live by. Casa Tequila is now officially in our date-night rotation.

The location of this restaurant caughte off guard. I thought originally GPS was taking me somewhere else. It's tucked back in a subdivision, there is no street lights so it's very dark and there is limited parking by the front door. A portion of the restaurant sign was burned out, and where the restaurant entrance door was located was not well marked. So the begin to this trip was challenging. Inside the restaurant was definitely decorated well. Great layout with tons of tables and booths. The restaurant was definitely full of patrons for a Wednesday night. I was out in a booth/with table off to the right in a booth and brought chips with salsa promptly. The waitress was kind but did not speak English very well. We had a mug of Margaritas and shrimp appetizer to start. The Acoustics were awful. Very loud. Hard to have a conversation without yelling. Disappointed because I went here to catch up with a friend. Was not a big fan of the shrimp. It didn't really understand the soup aspect of it. I had the steak tacos they did not have Pico de gallo so I ordered extra salsa. The bill was around $95.00 without tip for two.

Cucumber jalapeño margarita

First I'll say the cucumber jalapeño margarita was very tasty but overpriced, but most things are these days. The food was average. The ambiance inside was nice but the location is horrible with the soccer field directly behind it. It made parking difficult. I will give a thumbs up to the service.

Casa tequila getting busy on Friday night.

Another great meal at Casa Tequila!! I highly suggest the Tacos pastor, they are the best in St. Charles. Come early because they are always packed.

Great experience overall. This place had a fun atmosphere with volleyball setup in front and a vibrant bar inside with fun decorations scattered throughout. I got the tequila trio and it was delicious with shrimp ,chorizo, chicken and rice with beans. The rest of my table got a variety of meals and everyone was pleased. The pinacolada was fantastic with just the right amount of alcohol. The service was a bit slow but it was a busy night so I understand. I would return again.

Chilaquiles
Michelle L.

Ended up at Casa Tequila Cantina on a weeknight. I shared some queso and ordered the Chilaquiles with no crema or frijoles for dinner. The Chilaquiles had a slightly spicy red sauce with meat in it and were topped with some shredded chicken and shredded cheese. I thought the chicken was slightly dry. The Chilaquiles were just a touch dry but the flavor was good and I liked the heat of the sauce. If they had more sauce it would have actually been very good. I like the fresh avocado slices on the plate. The chips and salsa were good. The queso was a little cold but had decent flavor. It's a nice modern space south of 40 in Winghaven. Has some nice calavera artwork and a clean feel. There is a sand volleyball court outside that was empty when I got there and full when we left. All in all this was decent and I'd certainly return.

Street taco's carnitas

This place is the best, all the food is amazing, the cooks are fast, and the staff is super friendly and helpful! I definitely recommend the street tacos. Carnitas, when I tell you, I fucked that shit up I ain't lying. Also the chimichanga is to die for! Come try this place out if you're looking for good and affordable food! Thank you casa tequila! Ps. The waiters and waitresses are hot

my second visit and I was extremely impressed with the service, food, and overall experience. I went with a larger group to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed everything. The service was friendly and very speedy, especially with 7 people. Everything was perfect, and hot. In that classic mexican restaurant style, the plates were full and we left with multiple take out boxes. I and my party were overall very satisfied and will be returning in the future!

My new favorite Mexican spot! I love that it's family owned and they've been in business for a…read morewhile. The customer loyalty & how busy it gets proves they're definitely a town favorite. When you enter there's a seating area of booths to the left. If you continue further there's another little space of seats, a full L shaped bar, and more seating in the bar area as well as an outside patio with seating. I definitely recommend coming before dinner time. If you come for dinner be prepared to wait. If you want to eat here with a large party I recommend asking about a reservation otherwise I'd advise against due to how busy it gets! I'm not a fav of the chips & salsa as the salsa isn't flavorful or chunky enough to me. For those like myself who prefer spice & more flavor I recommend getting their salsa picante & mixing the 2, so much better! Their margaritas are good, I prefer the blood orange vest but they have a large selection of marg flavors and a full bar. For food I've had the nachos, tamales, enchiladas (I recommend the enchiladas de pollo verdes), tacos, and chimichanga. I got my parents hooked on the tamales! I love that they serve them as not a lot of Mexican restaurants do here & I love that they put meat both inside and on top of them. The establishment is always clean, the staff is always friendly & welcoming, and you can tell theirs homemade recipes coming out of the kitchen. I recommend ending your meal with the churros! Overall their price point, staff efficiency, and the consistency with the food makes this the best Mexican restaurant I've had in the area which is why I keep coming back & would bring guests here.

They have a big parking lot and it was still rather busy on this Tuesday evening of my visit. It's a casual atmosphere and there were plenty of open seats when I visited. We decided to sit at the bar and we were immediately greeted and offered chips & salsa and they were ready for our drink order. I chose the fresh squeezed Cadillac margarita. It was very good and refreshing. We were brought chips and salsa that were better than average. My dining companion ordered other kinds of salsa that were quite spicy, and I liked it mixed with the regular salsa. I ordered the cheese tamale plate that came with three large cheese tamales, fluffy rice, a small lettuce and tomato mound, and vegetarian pinto beans that were quite tasty. The highlight of this visit was the staff. Five stars! They know how to treat customers well.
