    - Oh my God, I can't even put into words how amazing the food was here, the street tacos were beyond amazing, I usually get carnitas, but I went with chorizo instead. Their homemade salsa is spectacular and has the perfect amount of heat not to mention their queso is delicious. my dad says his steak fajitas were awesome especially for the price. - The staff was beyond spectacular, they were helpful, spoke with us in spanish (as we are trying to learn the language), and got us everything we could need at a timely pace. - The restaurant is gorgeous, I love that this sit down restaurant doubles as a fast, drive through capable, restaurant. The tables were clean and shiny, music was perfect level to drown out nearby conversations, and the place is very family friendly! PS. I very rarely rate restaurants with five stars, but this one absolutely deserved it, we will make this our new Spanish go to restaurant! Thank you so much El Mezon!

I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and was excited to try a Mexican restaurant on this side of the river. Unfortunately, this place left MUCH to be desired.... While our party was greeted upon walking in, the service at the table was less than stellar. To start, we had several severs pass by our table, with no one greeting us or saying they'd be with us in a moment. This was unfortunate bc it was one of those days where I was really parched and would have loved a glass of water. It took eight minutes before anyone came by, so that was pretty disappointing. By the time someone did come by, everyone was already ready to order. The chips were average; standard crunch but surprisingly, no salt. The salsa was about the same, but I enjoyed the queso dip. I got the fajita Jalisco, which came with chicken, shrimp, and beef. It came out really quick but I think in lieu of their quickness, they forgot to season it because it was the most plain food I've ever had. I'm talking about not an ounce of seasoning and to say this was underwhelming was an understatement. Also, the beef and chicken looked more like table scraps because they were cut so small. This was the first time I've ever put salt on my fajitas. I wanted to use pepper but there was none at the table. The rest of the accompaniments (rice, guac and lettuce) did nothing as they were just as plain. The only saving grace I had from this meal were the chips and salsa and passion fruit margarita and that's not saying much.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant hands down! The chips and salsa is delish and we always get Don Julio margaritas which are amazing! My husband gets a Molcajete and I get crunchy beef tacos! The meat has such an amazing flavor. This time I got the Mexican guacamole with has more chopped ingredients than the guacamole dip; both are yummy. Staff and servers are always really friendly and attentive.

Had heard lots of good reviews and wanted to try this place out. They have a nice patio area, but it was raining the night we were there and they were on a bit of a wait so we sat at the bar. This was a good choice. The bartender was very helpful, attentive and provided great service! We ordered guac right away and really liked it. Very good guac! We also enjoyed their chips and dips. We ordered dinners and I tried something new to me... this is not like me so I was taking a chance. I ordered a combo dinner with a taquito and enchilada. I really liked it - it looks small on the plate but was very filling. Hubby had the jalisco special - recommended by the bartender - and loved it. His dish was HUGE! After all that, I still had to have the chimi cheesecake. I knew I'd have to have it as soon as I saw it on the menu lol. It was a great decision! Hubby and I shared this and absolutely agreed after we should've each gotten one because it was that good. I will 100% be back here for dessert again! It was the shining star of our dinner here and I daydream about it frequently ;) PS. For the ladies, I was impressed with the restrooms. Very nice and clean.

Kindest humans around & the best Mexican food in town. We LOVE the street and birria tacos! Quality, great portions and pricing.

Enchilada, burrito, tamale combo. Excellent seasoned ground beef with terrific sauce.

First time back at this location in a while, though we've visited the O'Fallon location since. El Mezon is always dependable with high quality food, fair pricing, an expansive menu, and attentive service.

Food is okay, good service and they are pretty fast to get you seated. Most times even with a long line you get in pretty quickly.

The space gives traditional Mexican restaurant vibes. Spanish music, colorful wall decor, and amazing smells. Service was prompt and professional. They offer an extensive margarita menu. I HIGHLY recommend the spicy pineapple margarita. Flavorful and just the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. The lunch menu offers a nice variety of options. We went with the bean dip appetizer. Creamy queso and refried beans. The chips are perfectly thin and crispy. The salsa was just ok in my opinion. We ordered steak fajitas for lunch. We were served a generous portion of steak and veggies, homemade tortillas, and perfectly seasoned rice and beans. The rest of the menu offers a little of everything you could expect. I plan to visit again soon to try more of their menu.

No one greeted us so we finally just walked over to the bar. We were greeted within two minutes of seating ourselves at the bar. We ordered two margaritas that we received quickly and two entrées received everything in about 15 minutes. Everything was very delicious. I always get fajitas. I got the chicken fajitas which were yummy and I always add cheese sauce on them. Very cute decor throughout the restaurant. Bartender was very pleasant.

YUM!! Had I not been recommended to try Casa Mia, I would've missed this enjoyable local Mexican…read morerestaurant tucked away in a small strip mall. I really liked their food and no frills location, casual ambience, friendly service and generous portions of house-made eats! Everything from apps to dinners, Taste of Mexico specialties and more...you won't go hungry! Overall, 4.0 rated experience; expect to pay $15-18pp for entrees, plus any starters or drinks. Tonite we started with Kevs Dip, tender seasoned ground beef in a cheesy dip (would've liked more cheese) topped with pico de gallo. Enough to share, it was tasty and served with house tortilla chips. I think if you prefer a spicier version, try their Queso Fundido which has house-made Chorizo and fresh Jalapeños in cheese dip - i definitely want to try the Fundido next time. For dinners, we ordered Chori Chicken and a Weldon Spring Burrito. Both were plentiful portions (shareable if not overly hungry) and delicious! The Chori Chicken had house-made Chorizo and grilled onions atop grilled Chicken breast smothered in queso; served with rice, beans, salad and flour tortillas - hits the spot! The Burrito had grilled Ribeye steak, avocado, rice, beans, mushrooms, fajita peppers, cilantro and queso - wow it was a giant and complex burrito but very tasty to eat! Plenty of menu options to try, and perhaps my one surprise was quite limited Pork selections; while they had Al Pastor (marinated) Pork dishes, they did not have any Carnitas type dinner or Enchiladas. Regardless, I'll be back again soon to experience more of their home-cooked Mexican eats - hope you'll find and give Casa Mia's a try! Cheers, ENJOY!!
