It is a smaller restaurant we came in for Cinco de Mayo. The service was wonderful. The restaurant was clean. The staff was very pleasant and right off the main highway location. They also have outside seating. read more

I decided to try a new Mexican spot near me, even though my boyfriend wasn't too keen on venturing out of our usual spots. I'm so glad I did the food was too good! Even my boyfriend, who usually avoids new places, couldn't help but admit how delicious it was loll. The service was perfect and everything we had was definitely fresh and so so good! We paid $33 for two meals, which was surprising compared to other mexican spots but I'll definitely be coming back! read more

These servers really hustled to keep the bustling crowd full of chips and margaritas! We started with delicious chips and very mild salsa. But there was red and green hot sauce on the table to up the spice level. The restaurant has booths and tables and is very casual. We had two combination plates. #8 tamale, enchilada, rice and beans and #10 two crunchy tacos with rice and beans. Delicious food. Served quick and hot! Yummy The atmosphere is fun and laid back. Lots of families there in a Friday night and an almost full parking lot. The staff was upbeat and checked in if we needed anything. We didn't wait long for anything. We had the house margarita and those were good. Not too strong or tart, very easy to drink. Highly recommend if you're in that area! read more

El Rancho Nuevo - Combination plate with chicken enchilada, tamale, rice and beans. - Mexican Near Me - Weldon Spring, Missouri

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant! Have been going for years. Great food, lovely staff, reasonably priced, charming decor.

Summary: This comfortable spot has a large menu of standard Mexican dishes but our dinner was a so-so experience. Firstly, one typically expects diners to be served in the order they arrive. When a couple entered and placed their alcohol orders before being seated, staff diverted from attending two seated parties. Several minutes later one party ordered, but we had another wait before our server noticed we were ready to order. Wanting just a snack, we two divided a combo including three tapas. All three used ground beef that seemed to have absolutely no seasoning. Despite the disappointments the meal provided a fair value: We'll give El Rancho Nuevo another try. read more

Always quick with the food and service and it's consistently delicious! I'm never disappointed.

We have been weekly customers since El Rancho opened. We thought the food was better than other local places as well as the margs. However, recently some of the staff we have known have left, and with it, the friendliness and exceptional service we experienced as regulars. Additionally, the marg recipe has changed and not for the better. On a positive note, the food seems not to have suffered. Bring back the previous staff and better margs and we'll be back more frequently. read more

We've been coming here for a few months since we moved and this food is always amazing! The margaritas are good too! Service is always prompt and really considerate of our needs as a family with small children. read more

Come here all the time, it's my go-to Mexican restaurant if I'm wanting to keep my meal inexpensive but also be a step above El Maguey. The food is always good, though I don't stray too much from my usual order. I always get one of their fajitas or the Quesadilla Rancho Nuevo. Their queso can vary on its consistency but I'm not very picky so I like it. Same with the salsa, I'll typically add some hot sauce to spice it up. This is a small building, much smaller than the other location down 94 near the McAllisters and movie theater, but it has charm to it. Staff is always friendly and helpful, has been patient with larger groups. Overall, I highly recommend you give it a try. read more

Very flavorful food, nice portions we've already been back twice. At the top of our list for Mexican food.

Never had a bad experience here. The last couple of times we have been able to enjoy the patio seating. The service and food have been great every time. We have not found a thing on the menu that we have not enjoyed. We have brought several friends over the past year or so and they too have enjoyed dining here. We will be back again soon read more

Had dinner. The chile verde was simply amazing! My top shelf margarita was excellent! Give them a try.

El Rancho Nuevo is what you can expect at any of the area Mexican restaurants.....fast to serve warm chips and salsa, pleasant service with a smile, reasonable priced lunches and dinners. We've tried this location twice for lunch and both times it was good. I had the burrito and taco combo which was a spot hitter. There is a Mexican restaurant almost every mile around here, all similar but with different seasoning, etc. Try them all amigo! read more

I found myself at El Rancho Nuevo for a quick dinner with a friend. Very small place! Very large menu! The chips were out of a bag (not fried or even warmed in house) and the salsa had the flavor of tomato sauce which is basically flavorless. At this point I ordered a side of queso because I wanted to eat some chips. The queso was as expected. I felt it was best to keep it simple and I settled on the #1 combo, 2 cheese enchiladas, 1 beef taco, and rice. My dinner date ordered a combo as well. I couldn't tell you what number it was or what was on it. The food came out lightning fast! I took a bite of the taco first. If I had bought a packet of taco seasoning at any grocery and cooked a pound of ground beef in it that would have had about 100 times more flavor and moisture than this beef did so my first bite of the taco was also my last. I moved onto the enchiladas. The cheese was melted, the tortilla was not stale, and they were exceptionally generous with the enchilada sauce out of the #10 can. The rice was dry and had no flavor. I finished the enchiladas and a few bites of the rice. Later in the evening I read the reviews for this restaurant. 1. I'm terribly confused by all the reviews stating how much they love the food and how it's so authentic. 2. Props to "Ben S." for his assessment and the label "shitty Mexican food." Boy, was this ever shitty! read more

This ad sold me enough to give it another try, there must be new ownership, because last time we tried eating their food was different and served on paper plates. This time the food was served on regular plates with metal utensils.I should have taken a picture. I got the mixed fajitas, with shrimp, chicken and beef it was sizzling hot they were what I focused on.I'm not much of a fan of the beans and rice, but that's just me. Service was fast ,friendly, and very accommodating. It was clean, the bathroom especially! read more

Excellent Mexican food. Even has a drive through. I order carry out at least once a week.

By far the worst Mexican food I've ever had. This places is stretching it, what do I mean? Serving the most watered down cheese "queso" dip (literally like white flavorless water). Staff were okay but the food quality was horrible. I looked at my friend when our order came and said, should we just cut our losses and eat somewhere else? Wish I had. Refried beans were almost white, my friends quesadilla came out soggy and 1/2 inch of water, sauce or something. Even the chips were like stail gas station chips. I have no idea how this place rates this well. It was aweful. read more

Out of all of the Mexican places in the area, this one is by far my favorite. My family comes here at least once a week. Staff is always so friendly. Chips and salsa are really good and servers are good about making sure you have plenty and good about refills. Food comes out quick and hot, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Good vibes and the margaritas are really strong and yummy! read more

Love this place! Kind of a hole in the wall, but it's clean, and the food & wait staff are very good. Reasonably priced too.

I'm glad I gave this place a try! Margs and street tacos were delicious! I also think the rice and refried beans had good flavor. I'll be back! read more

i have tipped them over 30 dollars at the drive through and today i was getting rice, which was 3 dollars and was treated so poorly by this staff. the man that seems like the boss was absolutely rude and i was going to leave a tip but did not because they did not even give me chips or salsa which is fine but they usually always give it, i can see how they would not want to with the small total but the rude customer service on top of it. very disappointed and won't be tipping them again if i even choose this mexican restaurant of the many around. read more

We used to eat here every week with groups of friends. They're getting more and more rude. These people work 24/7 and then they've gotta deal with social distancing table limits and stuff like that. Well, the food has gone wayyyy down hill in the last 6 months. We couldn't sit with our kids because of capacity limits they've chosen to make for Covid. When we walked in, he so rudely asked 16 of us to put on masks! No one at any restaurant nearby is requiring masks anymore. Mind you, this is one of the safest counties in MO. This is days after the CDC updated their guidelines that you don't have to wear a mask around others. I offered to show my vaccine card, but he said he didn't care. A buddy of mine left a special item at the restaurant and they threw it away! Hours later, it was gone. Didn't bother to put it in post and found for him ‍ How rude. read more

By far the best Mexican food I've ever had. Very friendly owner and staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We have been visiting our neighborhood place for a long time, O'Fallon road and 94 , Edwardo is a great guy, food is always incredible, one review saying its bad must be a taco bell person, food is great. With this Corona virus we have to use the drive through and food has been fantatic. This owners need to give Edwardo a raise for keeping the place going, the food is great but he is the reason we come back he is fantastic, hope his bosses see this, Edwardo is the man. This place is terrible I do not recommend it our waiter literally sat behind us and FaceTime with his relatives the whole entire time we were there, got our meal and the sauce that was supposed to be on it was completely different than what is advertised he said it's supposed to be like that... Super food at great prices & quick delivery! I love the enchiladas supreme's. The margaritas are good when I have one. Try the queso

We had: 2 taco salads 1 order if steak tacos (came with 3). 2 teas 1 soda. Costed $40. Taco Salads came with a tiny scoop of sour cream, lettuce and a tiny slice of tomato (NO CHEESE). Everything else that typically goes in a salad costed extra. My beef taco salad came in a shell but the shell was on a plate soaking in water! Ew Steak tacos came out...only tortilla with steak. Asked for cheese and lettuce. They charged me $2.25 for a tablespoon of cheese and $1.75 for the lettuce. Also, The beef was soooo dry. When I asked for explanation they ignored me and just said "that's how it is" Won't be returning. read more

This is a fantastic place. Had a work dinner and the food was so good! Will definitely be back! The margaritas are out of this world!

El Rancho Nuevo is very similar to the type of Mexican you find throughout the area. It's ok. It's not bad, but nothing memorable either. Chips, salsa are ok. Standard St. Louis-based Mexican restaurant menu of options. Fried stuff, stuff with cheese sauce, fajitas, etc. The location was something else before and looks like it may have been a fast food place. The re-do fell a little short. Not much on the decor or ambiance. The servers are very nice, the food arrives prompt. Tastes ok, but nothing that stands out. Comparable to El Maguey, Josepeno's etc. Would be really cool to see someone try a new concept. If you are in the mood for Mexican and want a safe selection similar to some of the other Mexican places in the area, this is a safe selection. read more

This is a really nice local restaurant. Great for families. This was our first visit. It has a nice little patio outside and inside are tables and booths. The restaurant is spotless, the food is good and the waiters are great! Margaritas are very good! (I hate it when they are sour) My husband had the enchilada and taco combo which was very good. I had the fish tacos. They were good but need some additional seasoning or a sauce. Prices are very reasonable and the have daily lunch and dinner specials. We will definitely return! read more

Terrible. Food cold, enchilada about as big as a hotdog. No seasoning, rice tasted like it was from a box and beans tasted like they were straight from a can. As much as I hate Taco Bell I would have been happier eating there I think. I would give zero star if I could. read more
