This was an excellent dish. This was my first time having this. I will definitely be back

This has to be hands down favorite restaurant for authentic Mexican Food. You feel the love and commitment from the whole staff when you walk in the door . Walking in here is like your best loved local spot in Mexico! Brick walls, Mexican art and fresh baked goods in a cozy size dining room. THE FOOD is authentic, delicious, made from scratch yummy goodness. From the mole enchiladas, Chilaquiles, pozole just to name a few. Buen Provecho

Chips with Blanco Queso, with two salsas and Chicken Mole Enchiladas with a flavor uniquely Casa Jacaranda!

Delicioso!!! Tastes as good as it looks. Fantastic deep authentic flavors. Spiced, without being hot spicy (they do hot spicy if you ask). Chips with two salsas, blanco queso, and 5 star presentation of the Chicken Mole Enchiladas. May Casa Jacaranda have a long and prosperous life in Venus, TX.

Went to visit my sister in Venus and we took her out to eat. It was a very clean and peaceful place. The decor was beautiful. The food was very good. Made you feel as if you were at home. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic meal.

Such a cute Mexican restaurant! The service was so friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back to try their breakfast next time! Highly recommend if you're looking for great food and a warm atmosphere.

I love this place for breakfast or lunch. Everything is fresh, and cooked to order. The place has a really great vibe and the service is on point. From Midlothian, this isn't a far drive. Honestly, we would drive further since we don't have any authentic Mexican here in Midlo.

This is one of my favorite places to visit when I'm in the area for work. I'm a fan of chile rellenos and Casa Jacaranda doesn't disappoint. There are two locations (that I know of), one in Mansfield and one in Venus. Both are fantastic.

Casa Jacaranda is a nice little place nestled in a small unassuming town. Almost reminds me of a ghost town. Met with very nice lady and young man who took our orders! Wife got Street Taco w/chorizo and I got the Chicken Tamales w/white sauce. Both were excellent loaded with flavor. They also had Coke in the old green bottles from Mexico! Best tasting coke ever!! Highly recommend this gem of Mexican Cuisine!!!

Out in the semi-boonies; but not really far from home, we had skipped lunch and were hungry. There's not much along Highway 67 south of Cedar Hill. Or so we thought. We were wrong. There is a delightful Mexican restaurant in old downtown Venus off the highway called Casa Jacaranda. It's bright, fresh, comfortable and houses a bakery, too! With an original cast iron storefront, original brick interior walls and high ceilings with crisply turning ceiling fans, we were very pleased to have found such a pleasant place, new to us. I was unable to find a menu for me to hold to read though. There was a temporary menu posted on glass that was waist height and one way up high on black board. Neither of which was the best plan for these eyes. I definitely couldn't see street tacos anywhere with meat choices or prices; but she acknowledged they had them. We worked it out. They have a much broader menu than tacos, of course. If you go to their website, you can check it out; but their brunch menu isn't there and some other items, too. They do have have shrimp in addition to the usual line up of street taco choices. My husband ordered Barbacoa Tacos and I chose Pork and Picadillo with Rice and Beans. I ordered Guacamole for us to share. They don't serve complimentary salsa and chips; but I can tell you their chips are exceptional - large flour triangles and fresh to order. They brought a salsa trio to the table - ranchera, salsa verde and a blow your mind chile de arbol. We have not been dining in and had it not been for a totally empty restaurant at 3:30 in the afternoon, we would not have. Aside from a to go order, they remained empty until just before we left. It was a big place with good circulation and we sat well away from the kitchen. The Barbacoa was exceptional, according to my spouse. He adored the chile de arbol salsa. My Picadillo was very good with tender little diced potatoes. The Pork I found to be slightly chewy. However, I so enjoyed the tortillas, spanish rice and beans. Just delicious. I preferred the Salsa Verde - earthy and spicy but not too spicy. The guac was good - a nice sized portion for $4. I noticed a tortilla machine in back, so I guess they make their own. They only use corn tortillas for the small street tacos. Flour tacos are used for carne asada and larger fajitas. The manager and her staff were very enthusiastic and pleasant. We didn't buy any pastries or dessert; but we'll be back. Everything was spotless. The bathroom was spotless. (Someone is a Frida fan). The restaurant is closed on Mondays and open for Brunch, Sundays 11 - 3. Street parking.

Absolutely delicious food. They will not disappoint! On top of the foods in my pictures, I also love their breakfast burritos. Their mild salsa is one of my favorites. The service is great. This is a cozy restaurant with an authentic feel to it, and it makes a great addition to the city of Venus!

Very delicious, authentic Mexican food. The employees/owners are very kind, attentive and the restaurant was very clean. I absolutely loved the decor, an authentic feel. We got: Agua de limón (fresh limeade water) Agua de horchata (cinnamon, rice water, milky drink) Chips and salsa- chips were really good, salsas were tasty but not spicy Enchiladas verdes de pollo ( chicken enchiladas with green salsa) - I got mine with extra crema ("sour"cream) which I'm glad I did bc the green salsa had a kick to it. Super yummy the chicken rice and beans were well seasoned Enchiladas de Mole (chicken, brown sauce enchiladas ) my husband got these, I tried the sauce it was very good, homemade and also had a kick to it. He said the chicken rice and beans were also well seasoned. Very yummy.

Street tacos with avocado salsa, molcajete (dk green), and hot red sauce. The sauces are the best anywhere in the metroplex!

The food has changed and the staff has little customer service. Not the quality in the taste as when they first opened in Venus, Texas.

There was also a place to walk up and order, but I wouldn't recommend that unless you park at the business next door due to the volume of cars in the parking lot. The wait for 4 breakfast burritos was long and took about 15 mins. They have a good green salsa, I didn't try the red. The burritos are average. Reading other reviews I thought I was in for something fantastic. My main complaint is that all of the burritos barely had meat. They were basically all eggs and a light sprinkle of cheese I paid extra for. Between two burritos there was not even a full slice of bacon. The other two were different meats but also had barely any in it. For as long as we waited I expected everything to be piping hot, like steam coming out of it when I opened it. It wasn't. It was barely warm so I guess I was waiting for the people ahead of me. Also the burritos we had didn't have that crisp straight off the griddle taste with the tortilla. These tortillas were borderline soggy. The food tastes good but the lack of meat combined with the wait is a deal breaker for me. I won't return.

It being Sunday of Labor Day weekend meant everyone was in town, and it definitely slowed things down. There wasn't a single open table inside or outside. I wasn't sitting down for service, just grabbing things for the road, but I ordered a muffin and an iced Cinnamon Twist. I think I regret ordering the size as big as I did (their grande was like 24 oz iced) because it was quite milky (my fault), but the cinnamon and vanilla were good. The muffin was the true star of the show. It was huge, dense, and fluffy. A much-needed carb and sugar rush after my humid Granbury run. The place is super cute, and I will totally try to go back for brunch next time I visit. The place can feel a little tight when you're trying to order to-go without getting in the way of the staff, other people ordering, and the people dining in, but the place was practically at capacity when I got there. I also saw the Yelp sticker on their door, and I was like, OMG I YELP. RIYL: A bistro pulled straight out of a Hallmark Original Movie.
