Another cool thing was I got to ask for a sample of their Jamaica before buying and they had no issue with it. Food was delicious and I'd come here again! One thing I've noticed is that they have some type of special deal going on different days of the week compared to most places that just do Taco Tuesday's. I went on a Thursday and they had their Al Pastor Tacos for $1.69 each. The only inconvenient thing was the parking for this location. I'd recommend parking across and just walking if it's too packed.

Well first of you have to know that this was the only place I would come to eat Mexican Food growing up. Second, I would compare every place I have ever gone to this place and always say it wasn't good as CASA Gamino. Now for the horrible part. When I use to come here the Filte Frito was a long crunchy price of fish that was full of texture and a hard piece of fish. Now you come and it's mushie and soft. The waiter didn't know the menu when I asked for an additional item. The soda was flat and it was only carbonated water. In case you didn't know the chili relleno was a frozen entre all they did was warm it up and serve it. The cheese wasn't even melted it was still a hard price of cheese and even a little cold. I was hoping for great Mexican food that I grew up on and was disappointed by the quality of the food. If you must know I moved to riverside about 10 years ago and now I'm back. I couldn't wait to come here and try it again. And after reading previous reviews I have to say that everyone is dillusional and don't understand that this place has changed for the worse. I actually thought to myself it should be on a bar rescue or a restaurant impossible show. read more

Just tried their new spiked michelada last night, it's a creeper. It's a regular michi except infused with Absolute lime. You can definitely taste the lime (vodka) without it being over bearing. I had two and left happy (buzzed). Also took home one hard shell chicken taco and one beef. Both equally delicious and made for yummy drunk food. Service was excellent, a young man besides our waiter made two visits to our table to make sure we were happy. We appreciated this, well timed and wasn't annoying how some places can be. The managers were attentive to their customers and their restaurant. They made sure employees were staying busy and not just standing around. read more

So I have to say Im giving them 2 stars because I use to love this place but it has gone down hill over the past 10 years. I remember has a kid everyone would always run into someone they knew when they would go here. Things have changed so much. The waiters were kissing in the back hall area behind the booths. Just not acceptable in any restaurant. The food was decent but here is what caused this review. MY FOOD WAS BROUGH OUT FROZEN IN THE MIDDLE STILL!! Why was my food even frozen! Just horrible. This place has seen my face so many times! I am just now doing a review! Food is so good and authentic tasting! That shrimp Mexican pizza is my weakness! I have had the steak, carne asada tacos, frash guac, and of course margarittas! ALL GREAT! The bartender found out I loved mezcal and made a suggetion for me that I took and it was great! We all know there are hundred if not thousands of Mexican restaurants in Southern California but I have friends that would travel far just to come here. Food use to be good. About 20 years ago. It sucks now. I'll never go back. My food was frozen when it came out. They are using frozen food and heating up. The best they can do is at least try and make sure it wasn't frozen. How embarrassing. I use to loooove this place. My favorite restaurant period. Such a sad day. read more
