    Chips and salsa
    Barbieejo A.

Quickly greeted and escorted to a table. Drinks were out fast also. Complimentary Chips and salsa were next. The Chips were hot as if they were freshly cooked. The salsa perfect not too hot but addictive. Next up we ordered our meal. I ordered the Gambino trio 1 chimichanga 1 taquito and 1 crunchy hard taco with rice and beans also quac and sour cream. The guac wasn't to my liking didn't eat it. The food was out pretty quick and the food was Hot temperature wise and that's the best. I was so happy it even was too hot to quickly eat the first bite got me. I was super pleased with the beans the rice didn't have much flavor however was good combo. The shredded beef chimichanga was so good the tortillas fried lightly. The shredded beef plenty of flavor. The taquito was crispy with shredded beef as well toom 1 bite. Didn't eat the taco but full of beef and fresh cheese topping. Other plate was cheese green enchilada and shredded beef taco. Both so good and cheeselicious. Brought home leftovers. We were 10 mins late to the Buffet they off 22.95 or so which includes chilaquilles and even homemade tortillas. I cannot wait to return. Yes I recommend this place. Looking forward to come back for it. The Jamaica was also good not too sweet. Thank you for a Great lunch.

Unfortunately, they do not serve crab legs on the buffet stations. I called to confirm before we came so were aware of it and not expecting it. Foods were tasty and plentiful. I would say 4.5/5 because no crab legs, but everything was great. Of course, I didn't try the Mongolian grill nor the sushi station but all the cooked food was fine and my sisters and their husbands loved it. The place was super busy on the weekend and table spaces are tight.

I'm typically a "whole pizza" type of guy, but my party and I each couldn't finished two plates before feeling sick. After leaving the establishment, I felt robbed. Not only was the crabs a lie, the establishment under a Japanese pseudo name, is actually ran by the Chinese. Fortunately, it was easy to locate the exit. The vibe was off, as the food was slowly ripping my two cheeks apart. If you decide to go here, go somewhere else. If you have the courage to ignore my warnings, you should still go some where else. However, If you do somehow get forced to eat here, go somewhere else. Unless, if you have no where else to go, go somewhere else.

Yes, the price has gone up as a result, but they have way more options on par with more expensive places. On the weekend/dinner, they now have a chilled seafood section with items that aren't covered in any type of sauce including, but not limited to; raw oysters, crab legs, abalone, crawfish. They still have their steamed dungeness crab, fried crab, and craw fish boils. I don't think these updates have caught on yet because those premium items aren't attacked like donuts at a police department. At most buffets, you see people walking away with stacked plates with none left for you when you're third in line. This place usually keeps a steady supply. The only thing that sucks is the single serve ice cream. I know it's more sanitary, but soft serve and scooped ice cream would really put that place in the next tier up for Asian buffets.

The food is all okay at best with the fresh fruit actually being tasty and refreshing, although it could be chilled a little more. The meats are actually not bad either, a little chewy but if you don't mind that then you'll be fine. I didn't try the seafood or sushi myself but I was told by members of my party that the those are also okay at best but most of the food was bland. The servers are all very friendly and don't seem to forget about clearing plates or taking drink orders which I did really appreciate so I hope they never change that and thank you for providing great service. The ambiance is decent as well. Clean with a nice mural of the Great Wall in the back where larger parties are sat. The bathroom doors also have cool murals on them of a samurai for men and a lovely painting of a woman at a temple.

There is a bell that you have to ring in order to get one. Remember to get it! It's very tender. The salad section was great. It had a good variety of greens, and they were all dressed and seasoned very well. I liked the big cucumber salad and the kale with pita chip salad the most. The pita chips as croutons were very nice and crispy. The hummus section was awesome. My favorite one is the green one. I think it's avocado? You should try them all! Don't get filled up on it, though--save room for the meats! Besides the lamb shank, I liked the kofta and the gyro. The first batch of kofta I had was very juicy, and the second was more on the drier side. Same goes for the gyro. It was cut kind of thick and was a little dry. The garlic sauce they have went very well with it! I also got the beets, and they were my favorite item. They were sweet and tender, cooked to perfection. The cantaloupe and honeydew were both very sweet. I think that's kind of hard to come by these days. Their pudding was okay, not my favorite. They sort of got an Indian mix in their buffet, the problem is that the curry is watered down, and the chicken over done or too loose. Luckily I'm not here for the Indian food. The grilled veggies was the real star of the show, I can't wait to go again to try their greens, but since there's that recall I'm playing safe, looked amazing though. The lamb was tender and great, although it's one shank per person there is a lamb rice dish on the buffet line and you can get more lamb meat. The beef kebab is pretty standard and the rose water is uniquely good. Although I did water mine down a little to reduce the sweetness. The desserts are great, usually the fruits at buffets aren't sweet but these were! The pasteries felt like it was Greek restaurant grade. Would come here again when I'm in the area, the price is great if you typically can eat two plates - cost of plates nowadays are too much elsewhere.

Asia Buffet has fed me both times. It is largely a seafood/Chinese takeout buffet so I usually dine in such places to support my traveling companions in their seafood gorging campaigns. That's right. I'm the proud, carb-loading fifth wheel who complains about getting full after my third plate of food. But a combo at Panda can run you $15. So for $27, AB is a pretty reasonable upgrade of ultra indulgence. I fill up on the takeout, American comfort and salad/fruit stations. No complaints, just the usual fare - which was replaced pretty often. The teriyaki chicken was particularly hitting with the most recent trip, and so was the mushroom chicken. I know. Buffet-basic, but they slapped. The majority of customers are about their business when they come here. You get your table, you get your heaps of snow crab legs, clams or crawfish, and you get out. After two visits, after having embarked on a spectrum of life things, I've realized this is an effective site at which to stuff your face and eat your various feelings. The food didn't taste fresh and majority was cold. I disliked almost everything I ate. On top of their extensive selection, they have a wide selection of seafood: crab, shrimp, crawfish, snails, clams, sushi, and more. Dessert and ice cream is available. My group ate tons of crab, clams, and snails, which they said they enjoyed especially for the price. The sushi and sashimi were low quality and lack flavor, similar to grocery store sushi. The orange chicken was dry and broccoli beef was too chewy and tasted like rubber. On the bright side, I enjoyed the coffee ice cream which gave me a mini energy boost. Staff quickly refilled food so all options were available. Employees were helpful, providing us with a crab leg cracker when we asked. I did notice some plates were wet. I'm annoyed with myself because I completely forgot to take pictures of the beautiful buffet spread. I took a picture of the food on my plate, but it hardly represented all the different foods that were actually offered. Because it was a special birthday celebration for my 5 year old grandson, my daughter had the restaurant bake a chocolate mousse birthday cake in the shape of Mickey ears... so cute... and VERY rich and delicious. The main reason we chose the brunch at Storytellers Cafe is because of the character interactions. In actuality, we only got to see a few of the Disney characters... Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale. That was it. Maybe that's as good as it gets, but I was a little disappointed there weren't more characters to see. I'm also not sure if the other known places for dining with character meet and greets is any better at the Plaza Inn in Disneyland or Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. I'd like to find out. I know my daughter vascilated between all of these places as to where the best opportunities would be. We still don't know as this was the only place we tried, so we have no point of reference. Don't get me wrong, though... we still had a really good time... the characters were great with my grandchildren... (and even we adults!!), plus the food was quite good, and we didn't walk away hungry. I still wish we could've seen more characters congregating in one place. Would I return here in the future? ABSOLUTELY !!

I obviously understand that the characters may be extremely hot and on a timeline, but she did this after a Table hogged her to take photos with their baby for almost a full 10 minutes. When we walked out of the restaurant she was actually walking back in and I tried to ask the assistant for a photo because we never got one when we were inside the restaurant and she said " no you need to be a patron of the restaurant." Then they quickly walked away. What happened to the "Disney magic?" Really disappointed. Side note - whatever you do, do not order their Arnold Palmer. It literally tasted like they scooped pool water and added Minute Maid to it.
