Casa Faena Miami Beach - Hotel Lobby!!! - Hotels Near Me - Miami Beach, Florida

The Claridge Hotel is a quaint, boutique hotel in Miami Beach, not far from South Beach. it is right across the street from the ocean and not a terribly far walk from the hustle and bustle of South Beach. You can also take a convenient bus just a few steps from the hotel which also plops you in the middle of South Beach. The hotel was perfectly fine. Very clean, comfortable. Everything worked including the A/C which was key given the hot and humid temperature of a mid-August work trip. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the thinness of the walls. I could hear my neighbor turn a page in her magazine! It didn't help that my inconsiderate neighbor was on the phone oh....from about 10pm-1am in the morning. I mean WHO talks on the phone for 3 hours on a random Monday night? I called down to the front desk because apparently this woman had no intentions of ending her conversation at a reasonable hour. The gentleman at the front desk was very receptive and courteous and called the woman straight away. Luckily it worked and she shut the fuck up. Amazing how clueless and disrespectful some people can be... The only reason I wouldn't stay here again is paper thin walls. If you can sleep through anything, then this would be a totally great hotel to consider. Clean, friendly staff and great location. Oh and also close to an awesome breakfast joint, Tropical Beach Cafe. read more

Just checked in this afternoon after staying at another hotel down the street. Pleasantly surprised. Decor is quite remarkable. The courtyard is Spanish meets beach eclectic, and is filled with the most gorgeous orchid arrangements. Had a drink at the bar, we were told we could go anywhere on the property to drink it, which I thought was a nice touch, and he would come find us to settle the bill. I, of course, chose to sit close to one of the beautiful orchid displays and sipped my yummy margarita. Room was spacious and sunny. I have a soft spot for all things old, classic, and beautiful, and this hotel has that vibe. Staff was more than pleasant. Beach is across the street and through a small parking lot. Loved it, because the beach was barren at this spot, less than 40 fringed laden red umbrellas dotted the beach that belonged to this hotel. There is construction going on ocean side where two huge buildings are being renovated, so I imagine this intimate beach setting will not last long... I highly recommend this hotel if you enjoy a more laid back, classy stay at Miami beach. read more

The chic decor alone is a reason to check this place out! The service was great! The only downside is that the place was completely empty.. we were the only table on a Saturday for lunch, so it was a bit quite. The cocktails were delicious I got fresas en fuego- a spicy marg. To eat I got a burger with fries which was absolutely delicious! read more

I loved this place!!! It was everything I thought it was going to be and more. Words and pictures can't express how beautiful the interior design of this hotel is. The beach is literally right across the street from the hotel. The private beach access allows guests to have two free sun chairs. I loved how friendly the staff was and how I was treated like a celebrity. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay at a quiet non chain hotel. In addition, someone who is traveling for a true Miami experience. read more

Exceptional service / front desk staff helped us swap rooms, and gave us glasses of Champagne at arrival, and helped tend to business shipping needs for me without hesitation. Amazing furnishing in rustic bones and a great location. read more

Beautiful hotel! The staff was very friendly. Really enjoyed our stay. The food was wonderful in the restaurant and bar. Great lounge in the inside as well on the outside. The architecture was exquisitely done, holds true to the era it was constructed. The aromatherapy smells set the tone to complete the sensual experience. Definitely would stay again. read more

Amazing little boutique hotel in the heart of south beach. Beach is within walking distance, restaurants near by walking. Decor beautiful but only tiny and petty complaint the bathroom should be updated to match the beauty of the hotel but other than that tiny dumb gripe everything was perfect. Will be returning for a 2nd visit soon. read more

Hi, I'm not new to yelp, and I don't like giving bad reviews but this hotel pushed me over the limit. First our flight gets canceled, so we can't utilize the room, -$230, and all they said was nope, we can't do anything for you. No options, no empathy, just a no. Second, our bathroom door didn't close I hope we didn't get charged for water that was suppose to be in the fridge but wasn't. The sink is on the outside of the restroom. Very odd The room smelt like a smoking room but the hotel is non smoking. But even with all that, we were still okay, HOWEVER the part that I'm very upset about is, on our paperwork that we printed out, it states "continental breakfast included". We gave the paperwork to the front office lady. Then she brings it into the office for a good 10+ mins, then comes out, and says "we can't honor this even though it's written here, because on OUR copy from Travelocity, it doesn't state that". (We used triple A to book but somehow office said we used travelocity). *shrugs. Regardless, we had paperwork that stated otherwise. We then called out the manager (Jennifer) which gave the worst service of 2014 (congrats on winning that award) and basically kept explaining that they couldn't do anything for us and that WE needed to call our travel agent to get them to call her directly. Then I had to remind her.. "You know, we are not working in the service industry, but we believe you are working in the service industry, so why are you making us jump through all these hoops just to get breakfast that we are suppose to get??" She comes back with a, "doesn't matter, you need to ca them". By this time it was 10:50am. Not knowing they closed breakfast at 11:00am, the service guy started cleaning up, and I asked him to bring out JEnnifer because we were on the phone with our travel person and they were in the middle of talking to Jennifer on the other line. Luckily the F&B manager (the Lady with the English accent was super nice btw) came up to us and helped us out and told us to go ahead and take whatever was left after the clean up and even offer to cook us some eggs and coffee which was very nice. After my gf got off the phone with the travel agent, they said they would refund us the breakfast. Jennifer didn't tell us that, the travel agent did. Jennifer actually didn't even come out her office to apologize for her being wrong. Tsk tsk. It's now 11:48am and we're sitting on their front bench writing this review. Hotel is nice, most of the people are nice, bell boy and the front office guy from sun afternoon were awesome. But it only takes one rotten apple to make the whole experience horrible. We will never come back to this hotel. I'll update this to see if we get that refund on breakfast read more

Casa Faena Miami Beach - See there: continental breakfast for 2 people. - Hotels Near Me - Miami Beach, Florida

We ended up staying at Casa Faena due to complications with a reservation we had with another company and boy are we glad we stayed here. From the start the customer service was amazing, Johnathan checked us in and was able to turn our whole experience around when things got off to a rough start for our trip. We had breakfast in the dining area that's in the hotel and to food was amazing. Lazo and another nice lady helped us out. Lazo gave us some cool places to check out and all around had good conversation. Everyone made us feel like family. One thing to keep in mind is some of these buildings are historic so there's not much they can do to the actual building. Most of the hotels in south beach are older. Even with that being said we wouldn't hesitate to come back here. They also have a private beach area with seats and umbrellas where you can order food and drinks from which is very nice. Thank you to everyone that made our stay enjoyable. read more

Went in for lunch on a Saturday at approximately 3:30pm. There was one other table being served beside us. Cute place, food was ok, very slow service and costumer service was ehhhh, we had to ask for water fill ups and they actually forgot my aguacate and kale to my dish so had to ask for that as well, and we were the only table being served. read more

Casa Faena is a quaint, peaceful, charming hidden gem on Collins Ave. Away from the crowds (but not too far) and across from beach, this intimate hotel is perfect. We only spent the night but enjoyed our way stay immensely and cannot wait to return soon for a longer one. We were visiting Miami to attend Coldplay concert...we arrived really late to check-in. We were greeted warmly by Armando. He checked us in promptly, as he cld tell we were exhausted, and answered all our questions. As it was late and everything closed, he was helpful and making us feel comfortable. Within minutes we went to our room...Our room was adorable and had an old charm feel...very clean and cozy! The next morning we went up to roof deck where there are lounging chairs and tables and overlooking the city. It was so peaceful, We relaxed and got some sun before checking out. We thoroughly enjoyed our quick stay and will definitely be back! Highly recommend if you are looking for an intimate and relaxing getaway! read more

Well, the world knows that hurricane isaac is coming to South Florida except for this Hotel. I was scheduled to fly to miami on 8/25, as everybody know bad weather is heading there. I booked 1 night here on 8/25, and the other nights at different hotels. All the other hotels allowed me to cancel my reservation due to the weater. I'm flying over from CA for a mini vaction and do not want to be in a hurricane. When I called to cancel the reservation due to weather conditions, they said the weater is fine here. WTF, they need to turn on the tv and watch the weather channel. I just will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. DO NOT STAY HERE! read more

we booked this hotel for one night during labor day weekend before our cruise. we had read the reviews and seen pictures off the web, and thought it was really cute with the spanish decor. we arrived, and true to reviews, a receptionist approached the desk out of a room when we came in. he told us we had a non-smoking room, which i thought was weird because i booked a smoking room through hotels.com. however, he told us the entire hotel was non-smoking. we got to the one elevator they had, which is actually quite small (although we had a ton of luggage), and approached our room at the very end of the hall on the 3rd floor (3 floor hotel, 4th is penthouses). it was really cute inside, the only thing i didn't like was the sink was in the room, very close to the edge of one of the beds. other than that, it was fairly spacious, beds were very comfortable, and sample products were nice. the tv was quite small, but that's okay since we were never really in the room. the free continental breakfast consisted of water, oj, coffee, and they serve you a basket of 2 slices of toast and 2 danishes. i was hoping for a buffet spread with some fruit and yogurt, but thought it was nice that they actually served you. all in all, we enjoyed our stay, and only spent $110 through hotels.com which i thought was very reasonable considering it was a saturday on a holiday weekend. but, it is in an area where there isn't too much, although it is very close to the beach. read more

We went here for their Happy Hour - 4:00 - 7pm. It was really fun and enjoyable. Not many people, but it was good if you want to catch up and talk. We chose not to have any of the featured cocktails, but stuck to our Prosecco. Nice offering. We also enjoyed the fried calamari - the sauce was really good. The bartender was just great, very attentive and nice. There was a little seating area outside if it's not too hot. It's in an area of Collins besieged by the construction of the Faena growth, but if you can find parking, a nice oasis for a leisurely drink. read more

Horrible service, horrible bathroom and fictional one line pictures. Not recommending this hotel!

The first thing you notice when you walk into the Claridge Hotel is the air freshener. I originally thought it was to mask something in the hotel so I was a bit cautious. It turned out that they just wanted it to smell nice throughout. Despite being a small hotel without the staff that a chain hotel might have, almost every time we walked by the front desk there was someone there to assist you. There are only 3 floors to the hotel so it is definitely an intimate hotel. We asked for additional towels and blankets and housekeeping provided them quickly. The room itself was clean and decorated nicely. The only complaint was that we used the sleeper sofa and it was not very comfortable, but that's pretty much the nature of sleeper sofas, really. When we arrived in our room, we noticed that the previous people had left some swim trunks drying on the window railing behind the curtains. Obviously the housecleaning staff didn't do any clean up work behind the curtains. We stayed on a Wednesday night thru Friday night and Friday night they had some sort of dance club event so we could hear the music from within our room when trying to get to sleep at 10 p.m.. Outside of that night, it was fairly quiet. The restaurant in the hotel was pretty dead. Wednesday and Thursday night we didn't see a single patron. Friday night was at least a few people. We did not eat at the restaurant, instead opting for restaurants in the area we could drive to. There is a parking lot at the back of the property but it only has about 12 or so spaces and could pose some difficulty getting out if some people decide to park in non-designated spaces. We were lucky enough to get a space each time but it was always full. Street parking was difficult at the time we went because there was a lot of road construction going on. Locationwise, it is pretty much a block away from the beach and we found that very convenient. Kids loved being able to go from beach to hotel within a few minutes. Overall, it was a fine stay despite some problems. read more

From the moment we arrived until the second we pulled away we had a great experience! Shout out to Linette (spelling) she was a fantastic host. Explained the history of the hotel, and was very welcoming. The room was clean (minus a moldy shower curtain which they promptly replaced). Full stocked bar and mini bar! Beds were super comfy! We had breakfast downstairs and enjoyed the food and server who was so friendly and pleasant. The hotel is very charming and has great nooks to discover. Right across from the beach and in a great location! $8 Uber ride to south beach. Would stay again. read more

The place itself is beautiful and really nice. HOWEVER, the food is average at best, expensive for what and the service is pretty terrible- they kept on messing up our order, bringing the wrong things, taking forever, and even told us they had certain foods although they didn't. read more

I was really looking forward to my stay at Casa Faena. Too bad they overbooked the room, cancelled my reservation with less than 72 hours notice, refused to work with me to move the reservation and then proceeded to be overwhelmingly unpleasant (some would say rude) when I asked to speak with management. This hotel's leadership should go back and take a look at the definition of the word "hospitality." Really disappointed in this supposed 5-Star hotel. Give your money to someone that actually cares. read more

I'm writing this review because of the lovely experience I had at Casa this past week. I was told about the restaurant by a friend which absolutely loves the food there. She forgot to mention to me that the service and the design of the hotel is fabulous. I wasn't staying at the hotel but was greeted by the very friendly front desk agent. My server name was Brando I think, he was very friendly and attentive. He made sure me and my family enjoyed our meal to the max. Lazaro the manager came by and checked on us to see if we were enjoying our meal. He was a pleasure to talk and answered all the questions we had about Faena. All in all it was a great experience. Good food good cocktails and great service! Nice spot and not so touristy like the main Faena hotel. Boutique hotel and restaurant where you truly feel you are in your Casa.. read more

Came here quite by accident. Booked a Miami spice dinner under the assumption that this restaurant was located at faena hotel- but it's actually at claridge hotel down the street. I stayed here for one night on my vacation and I had an amazing time. The bed was super comfy and the sheets were very soft. The room was also adorable and I loved the Spanish style room. It's very simple but for a trip where I spend most of my time on the beach (which you get a chair and umbrella if you stay here as it is included with the stay) I don't need much. The water is very hot in the bathroom though so be careful not to turn it too high. The interior of this hotel was absolutely gorgeous. On the first floor they have a beautiful little sitting area with books that just had the coolest decorations and designs. If you go to the top floor you can step out on the roof and there is an absolutely amazing view of the ocean. The staff was also incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. Chris was incredibly helpful and helped my mother and I with restaurant suggestions and ideas for where to go. He was super helpful and made our check out easy. And Fiorella was also very kind and helped us out a lot! Just a great stay and a great hotel! read more

We stayed at Casa Faena for a wedding taking place at the Faena Hotel across the street. The wedding rate was hard to resist so instead of staying at the more expensive option across the street we mistakenly chose the Casa Faena. Our room had lots of plumbing problems. The toilet was leaking and after a quick fix the first night we awoke to water in the bedroom. The toilet had to be fixed so no room to use most of the afternoon Saturday. We had lukewarm water in the shower, the sink handle fell apart, there was sand in the tub and sink, the soap dish was falling off the shower wall and the hairdryer didn't work. The staff was very nice and tried hard but in general the hotel needs work starting with the elevator ride! I would not recommend staying at this hotel!" read more

This hotel is great because I love the following things in a hotel: - FINDING A LIVE BED BUG in room #1 - staff denying the hotel has bed bugs, when I offered to show them the live one - finding bed bug feces all over the bed in room #2 - staff getting an attitude when finding a third room for us to move into - dirt, dust and God knows what else on all of the bed skirts in every room - the smell of must and mold - paper thin walls - the two complimentary drinks (white wine) I was offered for my troubles that tasted a lot like what I imagine horse pee to taste like Bought a Groupon for this one. Switched rooms three times due to bed bugs. Staff denied the first time, finally waved the "resort" fee of $9.99 and gave me a couple of drinks on the house. Cheap wine. Thanks. Location isn't bad, right across from the quieter part of the beach. About a mile walk to South Beach, use the boardwalk. I simply can't recommend it due to the way they handled the bed bug situation. They said nothing about eradicating them or treating the issue, got quite snarky for the rest of our stay and originally tried to deny they had a bed bug problem. REALLY? Avoid this place and if you can't, keep your suitcases ZIPPED! read more

Stayed here for three nights and it was worth every penny. The staff was amazing and the service was exemplary. I loved every minute of it. We were truly made to feel at home and I would most definitely come again. The beds were comfortable (not the greatest because mine sloped a bit, but still cozy). The toiletries were nice. They have a nice restaurant/bar. The food was pretty great. Everyone really took care of us. I've never experienced accommodations quite like this before so maybe that could be why I enjoyed all of the pampering so much and I really don't have anything to compare it to but, again, the service was just outstanding. read more

Casa Faena Miami Beach - Hotels Near Me - Miami Beach, Florida

Overall this was the kind of experience I'd expect from a cheap motel, but because it's located in Miami Beach it's $200 a night. The good: - Inexpensive compared to a lot of other places in Miami Beach. - Bed was pretty comfortable. - Dinner prices were good - 50% off for guests. Limited selection but food was good. The bad: - Dirty water dripping from the vent in the bathroom when we checked in. Maintenance came and fixed it but didn't clean up the (minor) mess. - We tried to switch our thermostat to heat when it got to 66, but apparently that is centrally controlled. It kept blowing cold air down to 64 degrees when we just turned it off completely. - Bunch of flying ants got into the bathroom on the third night and died in the tub. - Refrigerator was a bit loud, unplugged it. - Stairwells not clearly marked, door looks like a maintenance closet. The ugly: - Wi-fi was unresponsive all 3 days, even around midnight. Front desk had no useful advice. read more

This review based on the restaurt as I went here with my mom for Miami Spice. We both had similar main meals and we both thought the food was prepared with thought, use of more exotic ingredients, and focus on quality. You really can't beat the $23.00 flat rate for the 4 course lunch. Tacos were very tasty, both vegetarian and asado. The Jicama salad was impressive and the dulce de leche flan with pistachio was lick it clean great. The hotel itself is this retro Spanish type mix that works wonderfully. Service ws humourous, friendly and quick. I really did walk out of this place happier when I stepped in and I'm sure you will too. No South Beach scams here either, everything was as it should be. You can park across the street in the public parking lot or street parking. I didn't see valet parking and that's probably because there is construction work being done on Collins. Loved the decor, lighting and overall look of the restaurant. Outdoor seating is an opton and they do offer brunch. read more

I have to say that it was very disappointing, after enjoy dinner a couple of times at "los Fuegos" and "Pao", we thought that " CAsa FAena" was up to par, but no, it served very bad, only one person attending the whole place and doing as a bartender too, she did not even know the menu or drinks, she never smile or talk to us. The food is very normal, not up to the name, very high prices compared to the quality and service, all slow, even that the place was empty all the time, smell is old, not even one employee show up. I would never have imagined that from a Faena signature. Was a very bad night. read more

This hotel was amazing. From the moment we walked up the steps, Manager Michelle and the staffs dropped what they were doing and took our bags and made us feel at home. We were upgraded to a King room, which was clean, comfortable and charming.(sit down check-in, very nice) There was a large party happening the night we arrived, but when we were dining at dinner, the manager(Michelle) came and chatted with us for about 10 minutes despite the business of the party inside. We were addressed by name each time we came in and out of the hotel, and surprised with a complementary bottle of Champagne on ice to celebrate our Anniversary. My girlfriends bag was stolen from her at the beach, and the hotel offered to replace anything that was taken! Thankfully it was just sunscreen and snacks... but the fact that they offered was priceless. The location is incredible, steps away from the beach and minutes from Lincoln Road. The Big Bus Tour has a pickup a block away so its a great stay for tourists too, but it's quiet and relaxing as well. In a year or two, I feel like this area will be a new hotspot in Miami beach. I would highly recommend this hotel to any friend or associate of mine, and would definitely stay here again myself. read more

They sent us a bottle of wine to apologize for the inconvenience, which was very nice of them.

Came here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Room was very clean and house keeping was on point in proving clean sheets and towels. The hotel is on the smaller side but it's decor is pretty cool. Good food at the restaurant, the bartender makes the drinks strong and Chris at the front desk was always friendly and helpful. Best part was CC is the location. The beach is literally across the street. Convenience store is also across the street and there are a ton of restaurants and bars within a 3 block radius. I read the review and some people complained that CC only had one elevator....well there is a staircase across the hallway so if you're that impatient, you can always take that...not really a big deal. I'm definitely coming back. read more

I am not someone who writes Yelp reviews but I normally read them obsessively. My experience at Casa Faena convinced me to open a Yelp account and start. The experience was atrocious. Sure, great location but you have to walk through a parking lot to get to the beach. We arrived at 10am on a Friday for a planned birthday weekend. We were told the room (2 beds) understandably wouldn't be ready until 3pm. At 3:15pm, we checked and after several awkward stares by management, we were told that the people in our room didn't want to leave. Therefore, we did not have a room. The solution was to offer us a room with 1 "Queen" bed, and 1 rollaway. We explained that we could not share a bed. The manager then offered complimentary breakfast and a removal of the resort fee - a whopping $14. At 5:30pm, an appropriate solution was still not offered. We agreed to see the room they had available, and it was a full size bed at best. The bathroom was tiny and run down. Completely unacceptable for what we had paid for. When we informed the staff that we'd be leaving and finding another hotel, they said they couldn't refund the night because we had missed the allowable time period. Meanwhile, we were being asked to pay for a room that we never confirmed that we wanted or had booked. At almost 6pm, still no room and no solution. We requested that the hotel cover the cost of our lunch which they watched us pay for, and did not offer to take care of. Finally, after much pleading, the hotel refunded our lunch. By 6pm, we left and had to find another hotel in Miami Beach at the last minute. All in all, the experience at Casa Faena was horrendous. Clearly booking a reservation 2 months in advance means nothing. If you're looking to stay here, make sure to have a backup or a sleeping bag! read more

My girlfriends and I took a trip down to Miami and were looking how to have the best time with spending the least amount of money -- and how lucky we were to have found The Claridge. Such an adorable boutique hotel, has a very European feel with it's jacuzzi and sitting area in the middle of the hotel. The service was great! Couldn't have asked for better help in checking-in, finding our way around Miami, restaurant suggestions, getting us cabs, etc! Jose at the front desk went above and beyond in customer service! The hotel/rooms were clean and well kept. Perfect size -- and we squeezed 4 girls who over packed, into one room with double beds. Although the location is a bit off the main area of South Beach, it was a fine area. Directly across from a perfect little spot on the beach that wasn't too crowded and a quick/cheap cab ride down to the main area of the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we plan to visit again! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great deal in Miami Beach! read more

Hotel room was small, but charming. Delicious cappuccino in the lobby restaurant. Service was generally very good, with the exception of check out - after a delay and possible clerical error, I was informed of very costly long distance charges, which were not made by our room. The shift manager, Wendlyn?, was not helpful at all and simply refused to acknowledge that the charges could be a mistake or anybody else's. What could have become an annual repeat visit will now have us looking elsewhere in Miami Beach the next time we visit. Too bad... read more

We stayed here one night and that was enough. The hotel is quaint and cute so we had high hopes, however, the bathtub wouldn't drain, the faucet was loose, and the beds dipped in the middle. The hot tub was tempid. I hate to complain, but showering in 6 inches of water is not the experience I expect in a hotel. To the hotel's credit, they offered us a discounted rate and a coupon for a free breakfast though we had to turn down the latter since we left early for the airport. read more
