I'm giving 2 stars because we were in a hurry and were waited on promptly but the food and margaritas were by far the poorest quality. The margaritas were syrupy sweet, with no hint of tequila. How do you say "Food Coma" in Spanish? Being from Los Angeles, I'm always a little picky when it comes to Mexican restaurants, so I was a bit suspicious of the location (next to a car dealership) but it had good reviews on Yelp so we decided to brave it. The food was amazing. Between the four of us, we had the Enchiladas Jalisco, the Tostada Salad, the Mexican Pizza, and a cheeseburger (my 11-year old son). We would have devoured every bite, were it not for the chips and the delicious salsa. The service was wonderful. Jose, our waiter, was attentive, friendly, and incredibly patient with us as my sons practiced their first-year Spanish with him. The margaritas were not amazing, but they weren't bad enough to constitute losing a point. We left clutching our guts and complaining about the amount of food we had eaten. We will definitely be visiting Jose the next time we come this way...if we ever eat again. read more

Yelp reviews lead me to this location and I was not dissapointed. Very happy to find veg options on the menu. I also appreciated the carafe of salsa served with the chips. Banana maragarita was pretty tasty, although 8$, but came with an orange slice and a cherry. The green sauce that came on my veggie burrito was unlike any I have tried before. Kind of hidden next to a car dealership, but the bright lights attracted us. Staff were friendly and accomodating. read more

Stopped in here on a road trip, and it was easily one of the best Mexican restaurants of the whole three Weeks. The service was friendly and quick, the good was very good and came in much bigger portions than I expected. Their veggie burrito looked and tasted awesome. I wish I would have taken a picture. We also ordered fajitas for two and they were also excellent. Portion sizes are super generous, prices are reasonable and the food is awesome. The staff is friendly and efficient. Our large group (13) called ahead to make sure we could be seated (they said they didn't take reservations but we wanted to give them a heads up as this was on a Friday night at around 6:30). They were almost ready for this clan. We waited less than 10 minutes and just about took over the restaurant. The owner waited on our group as his sons took care of the rest of the tables. THEY HUSTLE! We started off with some margaritas- the Cadillac margarita was delish and HUGE! Our table ordered a little bit of everything from chicken tenders for the kids, burritos, fajitas, and my dish that was by far the best- camarones Tula (shrimp Tula). Good portion of shrimp and mushrooms in a delicious sauce - with some rice and retried beans. Could not tell you what was in the sauce but it was not spicy and full of flavor. It's not easy waiting on such a large group but these guys were attentive and our food came out in good time (acknowledging that there were so many dishes to make). Wow!! We were passing through Kellogg and found this Mexican restaurant from here on Yelp. Best Decision Ever to go here! It's so delicious! I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa. My hubby had steak fajitas, said it was some of the best he's had. My 2 boys had the kids cheeseburger (yes I know, cheeseburgers at a Mexican place) anyway....they are way picky and both said they loved it. My 10 yr old even asked me if he could order another one. I had the El Paso chimichanga with pork. I don't order chimis often but decided I'd try something new. I totally could have licked my plate cuz it was that yummy. I wish every Mexican place tasted as good as this. A definite must try if you are staying or passing through Kellogg. We will definitely be back next time we are this way. read more

Very good food and at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is a bit cramped. New to the area and needed our fix of "anything but hamburgers". Decided to try it out. Very impressed with the authenticity. Food turned out just as great as our hometown place we were so craving. Foreign food is scarce in the valley. Staff were excellent and we enjoyed the singing from the kitchen. Especially our kiddos. Really solid Mexican Restaurant - more authentic than we expected. Huge portions of good quality cooking. My Tacos al Pastor were fresh, with plenty of herbs and cabbage. Homemade Mole, Chile Rellenos, etc. Very large menu with plenty of choices. The salsa was excellent. I asked if it was spicy but my answer was a bowl of also fresh, SPICY salsa - so thumbs up for attentive service too. Got the feeling this place would be completely at home in South Texas.
