    Fajitas to die for!
    Lea H.

We split the fajitas. For $3 extra you get shrimp, chicken and steak. Not sure what the meat was marinated in but I could have ate that everyday. Super tender, not fatty and the flavor unbelievable. It was more than enough for both of us. This place was very clean and service was top notch.

Hit or miss. Most of the time it's a miss. Today all but the back room was empty dirty tables. This includes outside. Super slow so the reason to not bus the tables is just laziness. My Mexicali chimichanga was absolutely disgusting. The nacho cheese sauce was runny and tasted like plastic. The chimichanga was so greasy it wasn't even crispy.. it was soggy mush.

Three item combo plate with chile relleno, cheese enchilada (soft taco already eaten), and mole in back.

We had a fine lunch, starting with tortilla chips and salsa almost before sitting down. The salsa in a carafe is a great idea, with individual bowls ( so as to not worry about 'double dipping' ). Nice big combination plates, and mole chicken, all delicious as was a blended strawberry margarita. Service by Grace was both attentive and pleasant.

Awesome Mexican food at the Golf Course.

The Best (and really ONLY) Mexican Restaurant in St. Maries SITREP What can I say? It is the only Mexican restaurant in St. Maries, but it is good. SETUP My uncle Gary and cousin Dale and I always come here because after awhile we just get tired of the Burgers & Fries at Grub Box, and the Burger & Fries at the Drive-Thru, and the Burger & Fries at Bud's, etc. etc. Catch the drift? So "change" is good, and unlike having to travel the whole dam way to Coeur d'Alene just to find Chinese, at least we don't have to go much further than the local golf course clubhouse to find Casa De Oro. MENU Expect a traditional array of Mexican offerings such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas and the like. My "go-to" Mexican meal for first time experiences at new places I'm trying is a 2 cheese enchilada & chili relleno combo. Casa passed this with flying colors and I was truly impressed. SALSA The salsa here is quite exceptional here with the never-ending basket of chips, so I was happy on this count as well. SERVICE As mentioned by other reviewers, it was a bit lackluster, but I don't put as much weight on that as I do the food. THE LOWDOWN A solid Mexican restaurant experience. Perhaps I would have only given it 3 stars in Southern California. But after a week of burgers, this was a delightful experience to finally have.

Not a nice restaurant. Seems like it was just thrown together. Chicken Quesadilla was watery. Carne Asada was sub par.

Love their fajitas. Order the steak and chicken then split with someone. Too much for 1 person.

There isn't much seating inside and on the day we were there it was unseasonably cold, so patio seating was out of the question. We were able to play a little table Tetris with some of the other diners and piece together a spot for the three of us. The interior is decorated with lucha libre masks and art, so it adds a funky vibe. There was one waitress holding down the restaurant and she was on top of it! She greeted us and was back within a few minutes to take our order. I'm primarily vegetarian, but sometimes splurge on seafood, so I couldn't pass up the Shrimp Al Fuego taco as I love spicy food. It was large for a street taco and was packed with large, juicy shrimp. I will say it was not that spicy, as advertised, (although I have a high spice tolerance) and a bit on the expensive side, but very flavorful. I do wish the tortilla was warmed or toasted to amplify the flavor. They had a huge selection of hot sauces, including some local ones, which was really cool. I was tempted to try a margarita, but they didn't have the seasonal huckleberry jalapeño available, so I decided to stick with water. The others in my party ordered the Marinated Steak taco and the Beef Adobada burrito. Everyone really enjoyed their food and it's definitely about I'd try again.

Well the salsa was wonderful and the chips were very fresh and warm when they were brought to our table. The only downside I have on this meal is they need to back off on some of the cheese that was melted over the top of the shrimp and bacon but other than that, everything was good rice beans, all amazing and yes, I would go back again. they have to be doing something right because they were very busy and it was in the evening. and the atmosphere and ambience was exceptional. The cocktails were only 3 stars in my opinion -- the skinny margarita didn't taste very good, not sure why, and the Paloma I had after it wasn't much better. Start by losing the blue salt that they put around the rim which I think is not flavorless. Either do regular salt or none at all. The chips and salsa were fine, The salsa looked a little unusual, cut more coarsely than I'm used to, but it was good. The dinner was solid. I had a combination plate with a crispy taco, tostada, and cheese enchilada. All pretty good and they benefitted from some spice from the bottle of Tapatio sauce on the table. My friend had the arroz con pollo which looked a bit unusual (again, more coarsely cut vegetables and a thinner sauce than I'm used to) but he liked it. Overall, I'd come back anytime I was in Orofino. Though I might get a beer or straight tequila with my meal!
