The service was friendly and the food was good.

This time, I got the combination plate with carnitas sope (good flavor, but a little too dry), the rice was not the yummy rice that I've always loved (way too dry) - The food just didn't seem as fresh this time, I'll be back for "another try" - great service, as always! read more

Good food, ok service. The prices are good and the portions are pretty generous. I don't come to Temecula often, so I don't think I'll be back to this place for a while. Nough said! read more

Came here for dinner and was disappointed in the food and the service. All the dishes were on the dinky side and kind of dry. I had a combo plate with an enchilada and chile relleno: sauce was very under seasoned and bland. The waitress misheard our order for our kids and refused to accept responsibility despite two witnesses at the table hearing me order for my kids. My two year old screamed while he awaited his food. (Apologies to the others eating at the time.) Won't be going back, mostly because of the service but also because they only have beer and really terrible wine. A margarita might have made the food palatable. read more

Really good food. If I'm craving a sit down Mexican meal, this is where I go. I've tried the Carne asada burrito, the shredded beef taco and enchilada suiza, and the flan. I liked all three. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

I really do enjoy there chicharrón burrito . Can wait to go in for a sit down meal. Only been able to grab and go.

The food was yummy and the service was great. Its a small little place but we were able to walk right in. We will eat here again

This is a great place to eat!! The food is fresh and not too greasy. The service here is always fantastic. The owner is very hands on, right when you enter she acknowledges you, takes your order, and serves you. Its a very relaxed atmosphere, we usually just walk in seat ourselves and someone always checks on us the moment we sit down. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are HUGE. I have never been disappointed eating here. So far its the best mexican restaurant in Temecula. read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight, it was OK. I had the Chile Verde it was very good but the rice and beans left a lot to be desired. My husband had the chile Colorado and it was terrible, no flavor. I would like to go back and try other food on the menu maybe we will fair better. read more

Excellent food and service. Love the chille Rellenos and the beans are totally delicious. I was NOT impressed with the Margarita....very light on the tequila, and they used a mix. Other than that.... I love this place. read more

My husband and I have been here several times. We came back the next day after our first visit. We moved here from Dallas, TX, about 4 months ago and have been searching for food that tasted like the quality Tex Mex we had plentifully available in Dallas. Just because there is a large Mexican population around here didn't mean good Mexican food....until we found Casa de Lucy. I'm a creature of habit and have had the combo plate with 2 cheese enchiladas almost every visit. The beans taste like the real deal (don't want to think about the traditional prep they probably had that probably isn't heart health....but oh well). Love the enchiladas and the red sauce. Hubby has had the chile relleno a couple of times and loves it. It has a real heat kick! We come here at least once a week. In fact, writing this now I'm thinking I need a fix of Casa de Lucy today....and I was just there 2 days ago. The décor and space inside could use some work. Also, no hostess stand at door...a little odd, especially when the place is packed. I'd love to get that show "Hungry Investors" with Joe Tassar (?), Tiffany Derry and John Besh to come here and give Lucy the capital needed to update and expand. read more

Excellent, authentic mexican food. The service is prompt and very pleasant. Cant wait to eat here again. Menudo soup, enchiladas and beef burrito excellent. read more

The food was pretty gross. There was a hair in the salsa and the chips were white and undercooked. There was cilantro in our mimosas. Gross. The $12 quesadilla shouldn't have been more than $7. The chicken in the quesadilla was fatty and full of gristle and they used oranges as a garnish on everything. The waitress never came by to check on us and they never brought us the tab. The chilaquiles were stale and they topped them with the butts of the onion. I was very disgusted by the food and underwhelmed by the service. Never coming here again. read more

Very good place, not very impressed with the menudo, but the other plates I have tried are pretty good, the chips and salsa are the best! I love their horchata water. read more

What's worse than being sick in the summer??? Wanting pozole and being too tired to make it... in comes Casa de Lucy for the WIN! It was a Tuesday and I was dying for a big fat bowl of pozole and I got it and it was glorious. I've ordered pozole and been let down before but this was not the case. The broth was rich and slightly spicy, the pork was pork and not just fat & bones (which is nice), big portion! No complaints. I'll definitely be going back and trying other things but knowing I can get pozole any day of the week, is what won me over! read more

OK, I have been coming to this place for years, reviewed it many years ago. Quick review: Best place for Mex Food in Tem/Murr period... When you see a place that is packed with locals, you know you in the right place. Long Review: I am a creature of habit, order the things that I know they do well. Which is either the Chili Colorado *****, or the Fish Tacos *****. (I am a fish taco snob). They always do a great job. After hearing from a buddy of mine rave about the Chili Verde, I had to try it. Again, I am a bit of snob when it comes to good Chili Verde, I do not order it in most places because the Tomatillos can be bitter, Thats not case here. They very Fresh/sweetness to them. That was the best tasting Chili Verde I have ever had. Didnt know Tomatillos could taste like that. On a side note: remember to order a "Fried Jalepeno": The put it in a deep fryer for a bit. No breading, just the jalepeno, which softens it up makes easy to cut with your fork and add to your food.. Warning: Not all Jalepenos are created equal, sometime you get one that smokin hot, sometimes you get medium one... Today was a medium one just the way I like it. Chips/Salsa - Almost forgot, very good, if not the best, we take them to go sometimes. Guacamole, as fresh as it gets. I can keep going, but you get my drift, try it for your self. Lucy, Annie, and the entire staff will treat you like family, great food, fair prices, excellent service. read more

We've been going here regularly for many years. It's a bit short of fancy but Lucy's fare is always consistent, authentic, delicious (: And you won't have to have a lot of cash on you either. Thanks Lucy for all your years of great food and service to our family. read more

We've lived here since 1985 and I can't believe we didn't know about Lucy's until the past year. This is the best Mexican food in the area, the food is reasonable, $8.95 for a taco, beans and rice and chips. They are always friendly and attentive. Next time I'll take photos, but in the meantime, don't hesitate to eat at Lucy's! read more

We have visited several times since Lucy's first opened. I should have written a review before. Our visit yesterday was again disappointing. Instead of being "up-front", Lucy raises menu prices without notice. Maybe there is a minimum to eat at Lucys. The food is good but, good luck with the raised price between ordering and getting the check. I for one, do not want to be treated so flaky. If she doesn't want to have new menus printed, at least inform at the time the order is taken. read more

I'm starting to think people don't know what good mexican food is . we decided to try this place bc we saw people on facebook ranting and raving about how "amazing " this place is . Ok , i left one star and that's for the waitress. I think she may be the owner ? Im not sure anyways she was super sweet , and had an awesome personality .. Onto the food first of all they have generic soda . i hate that . Im a Coke girl , when i ask for a coke i expect a real coke !! So after i realized i had the generic crap. , the waitress brought out chips and salsa . i love chips and salsa . well not this salsa , it was really bland and that made things worse . finally our food came out .. I took one look at it and knew it wasn't going to be good . i took a bite and sure enough it was not good . major bummer !! Who makes bland mexican food ??!!???! Call me old fashion but i like my mexican food to be full of flavor / spices and have that true authentic mexican taste . anways my son didn't like his plate . my daughter enjoyed her plate . to make matters worse our bill was $45.00 without tip. Ridiculous !! Lesson learned we're not coming back . Terrible .. terrible food !! read more
