This place is so cute!! I'm so obsessed with all the decor, and all the workers are super duper sweet! I got the chicken taquitos, they were fantabulous, and the beans they serve with the chips and salsa are amazing as well. I'm not sure how these prices compare to Mexican food in Oregon, but as someone from California, $12 for any meal is an absolute steal! Omg! Who knew Monmouth of all places had a stellar Mexican restaurant?! The atmosphere was festive and warm. Staff was helpful and knew I must love seafood to order their delicious entree of boiling amazingness. The soup was spicy and fresh reminding me of costal times in South America. We stopped here on our way through town and were delighted by the service and food. Our server was quick and efficient and made sure we were always take care of. The portions were very generous and served piping hot. We sat inside but they also were set up to serve to go orders outside as well. A friend turned me on to this taco shop a few years ago when we were on the way back from the Evergreen Aviation Museum. It looked good-to-go! We stopped. They got some burritos, I got some tacos. I was not disappointed. In fact, I was sort of wishing I had a bigger appetite! I don't get out to Monmouth too often, but when I do I hope it's during a time that they're open and I need food. That happened yesterday. I was on the way home from a long work day (over 12 hours) and only brought a small lunch. I drove through Monmouth instead of a different route for one reason: TACOS! I was just hoping they'd still be open as it was late in the evening. They were open. I just got two tacos. I almost got three. I would have been happy, but it would have been more food than I needed. I got al pastor and carnitas. Oh my. Tasty stuff. I must say, their carnitas isn't as good as another local taco shop, but service is super fast, and to be honest, it's still really really delicious. Salsa? Yep. Four different choices. Scoop some up in a cup and pour it on your food. The mildest is a chipotle. The next mildest is tomatillo. The next mildest is an avocado. Then there's habanero. All have good flavor. I could have got more tacos just to eat more salsa. Also lots of toppings to add to your taco. Shredded cabbage. Cilantro. Radish. Chopped onions. Lime. You want it? There it is. Oh so good. I didn't mention it's super affordable. Oh yeah. You walk up and order and in a moment your food arrives. Two outdoor tables. Nothing special. Food is served on a paper plate, and utensils are plastic. That's the only down side. I don't even mind the paper plate. Too bad they don't have reusable cutlery. Bring your own, and it will be damn near perfect. Plan to stop here if you're going through Monmouth. If you live in Monmouth, I bet you already eat there on the regular. read more

The street tacos are loaded with choice of protein, and the self service salsa bar lets you choose your options. This place is good. Not only is it good but on Tuesdays, some of their tacos are just a dollar. YES, 1$ TACOOOOO Tuesday!!! Honestly, for that price. It is WORTH it for me to drive from Corvallis to Monmouth just to get some tacos. But not only are the tacos important to me, but the atmosphere is what I love about Casa Burrito. Drive up, park, and walk out of your car to the smell of meat. As you wait in line, think about which one of those colorful drinks to get, how many tacos is enough, and think... "do I really want to try Pollo today or is it just a waste of a dollar". And while you are doing that, enjoy some music and the buzz that's going on. This place hits home hard and I could not be more thrilled to find something like this in the middle of Oregon. So, which meat is good?? We were promptly greeted and seated. The salsa we received while reviewing the menu was outstanding! The service was accurate, fast, and friendly, and the food was tasty and plentiful. Tried it again...because it was open and I wasn't feeling Carl's JR. From now on-it's Carl's JR for late night food. I went to the bathroom and there was no water to wash my hands. No signs. I found someone outside the bathroom to help me with all the soap on my hands and they were like, "oh yeah, we don't have any water-we're having plumbing issues" like it was no big deal. She took a pitcher of water and rinsed my hands off outside in the parking lot. Ummm, ok. How are the employees washing their hands? I have questions! This place is sketch! read more

My guy has been wanting me to try this place every time we drive through town, but the times he mentioned it to me I was hauling a trailer behind the truck, and didn't want to pull in the lot because,not only was it cramped quarters it was a packed house. The next time we drove by, I didn't have the trailer, it was still extremely busy and I was so hungry so we just went across the street to BV. It had been a few Months since we had come through town, it was right before the big shut down. We decided we would stop on our way home, I actually wanted BV, but decided to pull in here because the line was the shortest I had ever seen it. Well that didn't last long. There was also a ton of call in orders being taken as we were just standing there. It didn't take long to decide what to get based on looking at the pictured menu they had. They had a make shift kitchen outdoors, and everything else is set up outdoor under a tent to comply with the covid regulations. Everyone kept a safe distance, and the service was great. I ordered the asada enchiladas with no onion. I honestly do not remember what my guy ordered other than taco's. I can tell you what I had was phenomenal, and very authentic. I had the bottled coke that comes from Mexico. That is my kryptonite anytime I am at a taco stand. It just washes down the taco's really well for some reason. I used to not drink soda, then we started frequenting taco carts....yeah. Developed a bottled coke habit. Darn you taco stands! I am trying to stop! TL;DR: AHH SO GOOD!!!! This will be a shorter review as it was a quick stop. This is my new all time favorite taco. Absolutely insanely good, I am dreaming of it now. I am so basic and got just chicken and cheese on a soft taco. But oh my lord was it good. So flavorful, tender, SO much meat, and just perfect. The rest of the crew got burritos and fajitas. Also as equally delicious. I live in Portland and would easily make the 1hr+ drive to get these tacos again. I will say, it was more expensive but like. It should be. So good. read more

Casa is one of those places famously guilty of the crime of the "guac pocket." IF they add guacamole to your burrito (which they may not- even after you request and pay for it), then it'll be in an undistributed small pocket at the bottom of your burrito. The same thing often happens with sour cream. This is a practice popular amongst Taco Bells, not something I tend to expect from a more authentic place like Casa, but it is the reason I've stopped eating there. Far too many times have I been disappointed by this, I won't let them hurt me like that again! read more

My 2nd review of this place, and it's still fantastic! Authentic food, friendly service, good prices, with indoor and outdoor seating. We took a large group including our grandchildren and EVERYONE liked what they ordered. I don't understand people's negative reviews of this place. Branch out, try food you would really get in Mexico. Camarones, tostadas con pulpo, tacos al pastor, carne asada... along with the typical items like burritos and enchiladas. I really love the food here. But what I don't love is how they can't read their own damn menu and look at the prices and things up correctly. On avg. this business overcharges you anywhere from 15-20 dollars on large orders and 1-3 on small orders. Single order out, you're good. My mother ordered food for five us on July 8 2020. Three of us got food poisoning. Two others had mild to no symptoms. Our symptoms included nausea, stomach pain and Diarrhea. Most of us woke up around 3-4 am the next morning with the symptoms above. My aunt had to miss work and I missed a few hours as well. We order burritos, and tacos with beef steak and Tongue. Great people first of all. Great tacos as well, with a taco fixing table where you get to add whatever you want. They are cheap and they load these tacos up to the max. They give you 2 mini tortillas per taco, because you need 2... they give you a lot. I get 2 tacos on their bigger tortillas for 10$, it is great. Taco Tuesday is a must . Chicken, carnitas (pork) asada ( beef) al pastor (pork) in red sauce . They have other options but are not included in the 1$ taco day. My fave is carnitas . Iv had a torta ( sandwich) there and it was good . Carnitas of course . I asked for beans on mine. They come with cheese ( queso fresco) meat ,lettuce ,tomato and jalapeños. So beware of you're picky. Check your order before you leave. read more

I drive by this place twice a day on my daily commute and for the longest time I've wanted to stop by and try their food. Usually, I'm so eager to get home after work I drive on by but today, things were different. As I was coming upon Casa Burrito this evening my mind was filled with thoughts of food and the concern that the two-hour Photoshop class I'm about to attend after work meant I won't get dinner till after 8pm tonight. And then I saw it... Burritos for $5.95! I immediately pulled in and ordered a chicken burrito. I asked the lady if it holds together well enough to eat while I drive, she assured me it does. She made my burrito with fresh ingredients of pinto beans, chicken, cheese, sour cream and salsa. For the record, my only regret is concentrating more on the road than the burrito for now I feel my review lacks detail it deserves. I will say that she was correct; it held up well, was remarkably safe to eat and drive, and was one of the most satisfying burritos I've had this year. There's nothing worse than a leaky burrito (unless it's a wet burrito you're eating). What makes this little taqueria so unique is that they make your food (limited items) right there in front of you OUTSIDE! They also have a little seating area outside as well. It's backed right up to the full restaurant so other items are available if you wish to dine in traditional style. This is just a great little walk up burrito/taco shop. I look forward to trying some other items and not rushing my experience next time. Try it out! read more
