Casa Brasa is such a fun and memorable dining experience. The food was outstanding and the menu is really unique. It blends Mexican and Latin flavors with a true sushi experience in a way that feels creative but still authentic. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa, which were excellent, along with the queso fundido and ribeye tacos. Both were incredible and packed with flavor. For sushi, we ordered the crispy rice tuna (they also offer a spicy salmon version), the shrimp tempura roll, and the Casa Brasa roll. Loved my dining experience at Casa Brasa! The food, the drinks, the vibes, the service were 10/10! I went for a girls dinner both times and it did not disappoint! I tried many dishes and everything was pretty good! Some of my favorite standout dishes were the cauliflower, chili hama and tai truffle (these are the cold appetizers), Mexican fattoush salad and the pork short rib carnitas! The cauliflower dish is a must get!!! We all loved it so much, cooked deliciously and the sauce on it was so flavorful! One of my favorite cauliflower dishes from any restaurants! Restaurant wasn't too crowded and we had a great meal. I particularly enjoyed the house chips and salsa dips. The habanero one has some legit heat. I got the picana steak cut and it was amazing. The Brazilian cut is one of my favorites. The late night cocktail visit was great and they had some tasty house peanuts too. We were very excited to try this place and walking in, it looked lovely. The bar itself was a vibe and looked amazing. Overall, the aesthetics of the place was on point, but the music was all over the place (and loud at times). Food was decent, but not exceptional to where I would highly recommend a dish. The starter - tostadas and salsas were delicious as were the starters. Sushi was good with a little bit of a twist, but pricey! However, nothing wow-ed us from the entrees or even dessert. The biggest turn off was management. The arrogance and discrimination was so evident. We came early (5:00pm) and were one of the few tables in the building for a little bit. We saw management go from table to table to check on people and chat yet we were skipped. It is hard to think it was because we were the only folks of color in the building at that time and not dripping of glam and glitz. However, our server was super sweet but also nervous as she was new to the restaurant and to town. We tried to ease her nerves the best we could, but sadly the vibe itself due to the other folks working / management was not really worth it to me. The other big turn off - the valet. We texted for our car 5 minuets before leaving our table and it was not there, which is fine. However, after 20 minutes, it asked us to try again. Overall, it was at least 45 minutes till our car came around and it was not even busy. This is simply not acceptable. This is truly a beautiful restaurant with great service. Our waiter Sarah was really kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and had great suggestions regarding food and drinks. I got the hanger steak and tried two of their spicy drinks which I truly loved as far as flavor and quality. Atmosphere was also fun and lively. Not sure why this place has such low views. The food was absolutely outstanding in my opinion. The decor itself is worth a visit. I truly look for experiences, and the lighting and all the effort put into the different fabrics and wallpaper in this restaurant is worth the view alone! now for the food, the green sauce with the flautas is absolutely delicious. I was super excited to finally visit Casa Brasa. I came here with a few people, we had a reservation for 7:30pm and arrived right on time but didn't get sat till 8pm. The server was very nice and knowledgeable. For drinks we ordered the Espresso Martini, Last Word and Casa Brasa Martini. The drink presentation is very cute here. I really enjoyed the espresso martini, it's very tasty coffee they use. We shared a lot of the dishes we ordered. I tried the ribeye tacos, shogun roll, beef cheek flautitas, lobster Mac and cheese, crispy rice spicy tuna, and the hazelnut dessert. My favorites were the shogun roll and lobster Mac and cheese. It's a new place, so there are a few kinks they're working out but I anticipate great things. Service was a little off, but Eric (the world's nicest bartender) got our drinks going. Almost did not go here because of the yelp rating but I took it upon myself to not trust that in 2025 and I am very happy I did not. Easily top 5 restaurant experiences of 2025 in DFW. Ambiance, music, energy - all amazing. Service was great. Champagne at the door to make up for the wait. I enjoyed the Geisha Roll and frankly it was nicer than most of the Texas-style sushi spots. I forgot the name of the drink I ordered "Lost Order?" And it was very appetizing - tasted like a spa and it made me feel very nice. I ordered the ribeye steak tacos and loved them. It would be a 10 if they added fries or something to the side. Rest of the table ordered the Burgeusa which was surprisingly huge. Great fries - I would have liked the Burgeusa to be slightly less sweet and more savory / spicey. Dessert was the Tropical which was genuinely tropical, super refreshing and yummy to my surprise. DO NOT COME IF CELEBRATING A MILESTONE!!! my friends treated me & another friend to dinner here to celebrate our graduation. we went on a wednesday night. our waiter rushed us throughout dinner the entire time despite repeated requests to give us a second to catch up. the food was great but it was soured by the service. the worst part was the $25 cake service fee: as we were seated, a friend asked our waiter to hold a beautiful cake she brought in the back. after dinner, we asked for it back & he served it to us very kindly. it was a pre-cut cookie cake. we got our bill and a $25 cake fee was included. we wouldn't have asked to put the cake in the back if we knew there would be a fee. the waiter said he would remove it because of the confusion, but eventually returned and said the manager refused to remove it. the manager came over and said waiters MUST tell patrons about the cake fee, which ours did not. he argued with us and said the waiter DID tell us. we said he did not tell us, but the fee was nevertheless not removed. one of the following must be true: either the waiter MUST tell patrons about a cake fee--or else it must be removed-- or a cake fee must be automatic per restaurant customs. you cannot have it both ways??? it was so disappointing and my beautiful graduation dinner with friends was soured by this TERRIBLE service. Lauren was taking care of us for our first visit. She was friendly, attentive and helpful with suggestions. We started with the Hama chili. It was ok. I wan't wowed, but it wasn't bad. We also got the moletes and guacamole. Again neither were spectacular. They were very one note; they were missing something in the flavor profile. For the mains, I got the short rib carnitas that were absolutely delicious. They give you 2 ribs, a cup of black bean, 2 sauces, pickled veggies, and corn tortillas. The tortillas were unneeded in my opinion. The black beans were also tasty. My husband got the Prime Picahna cooked medium with a chimicurri sauce. He also got a side of black beans and mac and cheese. He said the steak was pretty good and he's picky about his steaks. The mac and cheese was ok, again nothing world changing. We washed it down with prosecco and a Neptune's Vieux that was essentially 2 drinks. We said we'd return to try other things, but we won't rush back. It was nice from what I could see. When we brought it up to the manager, instead of listening, he decided to educate me on what a tomahawk steak is, like I've never had one before. He must've underestimated me because I look young -- I'm 33, sir, and I know exactly what a tomahawk should look (and taste) like. I'm not new here! Instead of owning the mistake, he kept saying it was a double cut, like that magically explains serving a plate of fat. Our concern wasn't the cut, it was that half the steak was inedible. I never once asked for it to be taken off the bill, but a little understanding or a nice gesture would've gone a long way. Instead, he doubled down with attitude. Total douchebag behavior. I finally told him half off would be fair since only half the steak was actually edible. His response? "I would eat that." Well touche...Maybe I should've just boxed up all the fat and fed it to him. With that kind of attitude and they just opened? I'm shocked. This guy is not management material. Overall, super disappointed in how the manager handled the situation. Things I did not like: The wait time for people with a reservation- what's the point of a reservation then? The fromt desk staff were way too inexperienced and rude. They look at you, dont tell you anything if you could go in, if you need to wait line, if they checked you in - nothing. Her ipad fell while she was trying to find my name from the ipad stand and she didn't know how to handle the situation and called too many people. And to make it better the just pour champagne and place the flutes on the desk for you to take without serving. The waiting area got crowded way too quick. And by the time we were walking to the table the staff didn't bother holding the doors and the staff was found still wiping away our table while we stood there waiting to be seated - and she looked like she was caught doing something wrong and ran away the napkin. Way too over priced for the portion size. While i understand that ingredients are sourced from xyz places and a restaurant with ambiance like this it is expected to pay alot for basically leaving hungry but still the average sushi maki shouldn't cost $30. The music in the lounge was way too loud the speakers - an intimate low lit area with live music. The vibe felt right but the speakers were on blast and I couldn't hear a single thing my friend was telling when she was hardly sitting inches away. Also the chairs and couches were super u comfortable to sit on as they were too low and one would have to sit slanted and cross legged (felt like i was sitting in the bucket). The wait staff have no idea what they are doing and have no answers to any questions you ask them - and they just say they are "new here". A restaurant with this caliber should hire highly experienced staff to meet & provide the expectation and the experience. I was surprised why there wasnt much buzz about this place on the internet and thought because it wasn't from a hospitality Dallas is used to. I would love to say this place has wonderful food, service and ambiance. They are located close to my office on Preston road. The workers were very pleasant but the food was not. I ended up throwing the food away. I wanted to try a variety of dishes. The octopus was bad, the beets were terrible. The lettuce wedge was OK but very overpriced along with the sea bass. The sea bass was $43.00 with no side dishes. I hope they stay in business but I'm not holding my breath. read more
