I've been coming to Casa De Muñecas Spa years before it's current location during humble beginnings. The experience I received then compared to the experience you'll receive now is still the same however night and day. The proprietor of the business Vivianna and her team takes you on a spa journey like no other. You're greeted with an aroma of eucalyptus as soon as you walk through the door as well of other scents which will peak your senses into a calming state of wellness's and wellbeing. This is also followed by a pleasant greeting from the front seat team. As you look around the spa it's beautifully decorated in its minimalist of calming color palettes that sends your inner soul dancing with excitement as to what you're about to embark upon. If you're doing skin care you're asked to remove your shoes and given booties to put on to further enhance your experience. I must say I was very impressed. The upstairs is for all that is cosmetic and yet that's not all. There's another spa treatment space downstairs for those that are looking for post op treatment from plastic surgery. There's a "Green" room equipped with a heated table and a stand alone tub to help soothe the extremities of post-op. Now I'm extremely impressed. Casa De Muñecas is a spa where You can get any and everything you need to enjoy a perfect spa day for yourself, your girlfriends, as well for us men. I myself have had 4 plastic surgeries and each time I went to Casa De Muñecas to receive their recovery massage treatment and therapy. This place is interesting. I didn't know how to feel at first but I think reality has finally hit me. I have completed a package of 10 massages, and I got "talked" into purchasing an additional package of 5 massages (total 15). Did I really need 15 massages? Hmmm questionable. But what is most interesting about this place is 1. Their over priced fajas and boards. please people, go on Amazon for cheaper options, same quality.....or simply shop around elsewhere. They claim they don't make a profit by selling fajas because they get it from their manufacturer for the same price they sell it. BS.... no business sells products with a 0% margin . They sell fajas for $135-$165.... they are insane when amazon has the same fajas for $60 2. They charge you approximately 20% in fees and taxes when you use a credit card at their establishment . They are forcing you to pay the transactional fees that they would incur from the credit card company/machine.... plus more!!! I would advise to bring cash if you absolutely think visiting this place will bring value to your life 3. Their package charges are insane. You can go to the Bronx and pay $375 for 10 massages. Better yet there are other places in Brooklyn you can go for cheaper cost and better quality service. 4. Update 1/21/2020 To reply to the owner... My initial review was on the services for post op care. Massages, cavitation, carboxy etc . I contacted to inquire about fibrosis treatment which is a completely different concern. I was told the owner was on vacation and would contact me however I never was and instead she decided to come here and respond to my review. To anyone that is considering surgery or has had any please do your research and don't go just based on reviews in one place. Check Yelp, Google, do a private surgery page on Instagram and check out real self. Most times doctor's and businesses provide reviews of the best and don't try to provide the best service or make things right with those that weren't happy. People should be able to take constructive criticism when in business. P.S. For those who see the initial signs of Fibrosis this is what was advised by my massage therapist. It worked and saved me money. Buy a hand massager, one that's strong and deep. Use it an hour on the hard spots, massage your lymph nodes and stay out of your faja. She explained that the faja limits the oxygen therefore will make the point of massaging the hard spots pointless. Can I just tell you guys that this is the best place for post surgical recovery care! My first treatment was a Heme drip two weeks before I had surgery in the Dominican Republic. I loved it and felt so much better after! I returned two weeks later in pain, swollen with a lot of fluid. Viviana and her extraordinary team of certified esthetician's took great care of me. I was drained every time they noticed fluid buildup. I felt so much relief. I never felt like I was rushed or just another client! They really make you feel better leaving than coming in. I've had my massages done by Martha, Diana, and the goat herself Viviana. I honestly have to say I love them all. I don't have a favorite esthetician because they all work wonderfully. The post op care I received at this establishment was SUPERB, 5 stars does NO JUSTICE for the level of service, knowledge, compassion, patience and consideration provided by the owner and entire staff. Having gotten my work done in Dominican Republic I came home feeling very unsure of all of the proper post op information I knew I needed. Viviana (the owner) put all those uncertainties to ease my first session. I booked my post op care the same day I booked my surgery so I was fortunate to have my first session the same day I returned to the states. I was immediately impressed with the decor and how welcoming and attentive Michelle (admin staff) was to me seeing that I was fragile and timid, having returned with a drain. After being prepared for the session I was greeted by one of the 3 esthetician's and again was quickly impressed. Lymphatic massages can be uncomfortable at times but the care that the esthetician's provide helps subside the in comfortability. From the 1st session to the 15th session I was impressed and felt like every penny spent was worth it. The Doctor on staff, Dr. B removed my drain and tended to all my incisions (I had a tummy tuck and arm lift) and I was completely relaxed and comfortable, receiving a post op IV drip to help my healing from her as well. The place is always clean, and has an efficient sanitizing protocol for each area after it is used in place that is clearly visual to anyone walking into the establishment. I contacted this business based on the mostly good reviews. Let me start by saying that I have not received any services from this spa. My experience has only been text communication with a member of staff. I called multiple times to inquire about their fibrosis treatment. However, I never got to speak to anyone via phone. After each unsuccessful call, I would get a text asking how I could be helped. I was a bit put off that I had to text about my inquiry, but it's 2021 and I guess I just have to adjust to the changing times. Anyway, I asked multiple questions about the spa's fibrosis treatment package. Including what services are included in the package (i.e wood therapy, radio frequency, etc), how long each session lasts, how far apart should treatments be scheduled, and whether these questions would best be answered after a consultation. (I had purchased multiple packages elsewhere and had seen little results so this time around I wanted to do my due diligence in researching the best spa for me because these packages are not cheap). Instead of a response, I was asked for the date and type of surgery I received. Fine. I provided the requested information. Then the staff copied and pasted general information provided on the spa's website (which essentially explains what fibrosis is) into the text and literally answered none of my questions, but quickly followed up with an incorrect over(price)d quote ($150 more than what is listed on the website) and a statement that there is availability for tomorrow to start my package (with a $200 down payment). This was an immediate red flag for me. Why are we jumping the gun and discussing payment when you haven't answered my inquiry? Anyway, I pressed on and informed the person that the website lists an entirely different price, and she responded that the price on the website is the starting price and may increase based on the amount of fibrosis observed. So why would you quote me the higher price if you haven't even seen how much fibrosis I have??? That is why I initially asked whether a consultation would be beneficial to both parties, but she glossed over that in her hurry to close the deal. So again I asked about a consultation before committing to a package. So she agreed and told me to send photos and video and someone would contact me in 48 hours so I did so the following day, which was a Wednesday. I expected to receive a response by Friday, but I did not. So I texted her on Monday. She apologized for the delay in response, but said absolutely nothing about the fibrosis she observed in my pictures. She didn't say ANYTHING about the pictures!! She simply reiterated what the cost would be and repeated that the deposit would be $200. And added that she had no availability until the following month. I'm sorry, was that a consultation??? That was a complete waste of my time. I could have been in communication with a spa that was genuinely interested in helping me get rid of my fibrosis instead of one whose first priority is to secure the $$$. Please understand that fibrosis is annoying and frustrating to have to deal with. This is my body we're talking about. The care and compassion a spa utilizes will always speak for itself. If you do good work, you will never have to sell yourself so hard. Customers will flock to your business. In conclusion, I will be seeking my services elsewhere. And best believe I know a number of women seeking post-operative care and this place will be at the top of the list of where not to go. read more

They are excellent in here but I feel like they should extend the massages I did lipo and bbl and went here for post op and they did the job great just felt rushed. I would start off in a heated bed to soften The tissue than would go to do the machine massage which legit was 15min and the hand massage was 10min. I feel like the most important part which is the massage is cut short honestly. When I did my surgery In Columbia they would massage you non stop for 1hour sometimes 2 straight and that's really essential after lipo to soften the skin . Otherwise pretty decent. read more

I highly recommend Plasty Munecas! The massage therapists are professional and always pleasant. They speak to you and make friendly convo during your treatment but you can also just close your eyes and relax while they perform the treatments. The atmosphere is relaxed as they have areas with low lighting, music playing, and essential oils in all the rooms. As far as going during COVID: everything is always maintained clean and disinfected. I've always felt safe. They use disposable robes, slippers, underwear, gloves, etc. They check your temperature and keep track of everything. The owner, Viviana, although I've never had any services done by her specifically, has always been super nice and always has a smile on her face. They speak English and Spanish. I would recommend (as they do too) to book your appointments in advance!! They fill up quickly but it's because when you go for your appointment it is very one on one. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went for post op lymphatic drainage, I got the 10 sessions with whatever bs they add to it. I was only 6 days post op and the girl who massaged me probably had no idea what she was doing. She was too aggressive and wouldn't lighten up even seeing how much pain I was in. Another lady popped her head in while I'm NAKED getting tortured and said "pain is beauty". Same girl who massages me tried squeezing me into a faja that was way too small pinching my effing skin and has the nerve to tell me im too swollen. I was so swollen I couldn't even fit into the Faja I came in!! I have before and after videos from the same day before and after the massage and I was 10x more swollen then I was before the massage. You don't have private rooms, everyone walks by and sees you naked. complained about the massage and the owner called me to tell me that's how the massages are and would tell the girls to lighten up the massages. Two days later I'm back for my 2nd massage and it was still excruciating and they told me that I can't tolerate pain???? 8 days post op of full body lipo and bbl and they tell me it's bc I can't tolerate pain? Lol. When I'm walking out of my massage the owner says "this is her?" Like ok very professional. Day after I text asking for money back and they tried lying saying I signed a no refund policy and when I asked to see the picture of it they told me they will return the money bc I'm an inconvenience because I live in the Bronx and they are in brooklyn. Where do I even begin? I got my surgery two years ago in Colombia. When I came back to New York I was looking for a place to get my post op care done. I came across many spas in my search but the one that stood out to me the most was Casa de Muñecas Spa. Best decision I've ever made. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. Viviana, the owner, was at the front desk and greeted me kindly as I walked in. I told her I was looking to get post op care, she then was asking me questions about my surgery etc. A verbal questionnaire, she listened to everything I had to say and examined me. She then explained to me how the post op care procedure works and the benefits it brings to your body. I booked my sessions but it didn't stop there. She was also very concerned about my recovery outside of the spa. She asked about my faja (body garment), I told her what I had and she suggested I wear something different from what I had. What a difference that made! I bought my faja there along with and ab board that was WAY more comfortable than the one I had before. My body felt so snatched. After a few sessions I was seeing results, I had to get my faja tailored to an even SMALLER size! I was losing inches. And yes TAILORED, I know they may be pricey but if they can save you money they will. They truly have your best interest at heart and rather than making me buy a new faja they referred me to a dry cleaning place where a kind older gentleman was able to get it done the same day I dropped it off. ALL of the staff there is amazing! Diana and Martha are super kind and very informative. They know what they are doing when they're massaging your body and giving you treatments. Being naked in front other people isn't something that is very comfortable and can make us feel vulnerable. However, with them it feels very natural. There is no judgment, no weird looks, very respectful and professional. Don't be fooled, even though Martha isn't fluent in English it doesn't mean she isn't knowledgeable in her work. I hate when people make that assumption about people just because if a language barrier. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and trust me she knows a lot and has been doing her job for a long time. After my post op care I felt really good about myself. I waited a few months and then I went back for the body sculpting, by then I stopped wearing my faja everyday so I felt like the body sculpting would help still keep everything in place and it did! My friends and family were noticing the changes in my body and it was great. I fell in love with the spa, it became my home away from home, it's a sanctuary. I am always greeted there and they always show me the utmost love and respect. ANY beauty concerns that I have I immediately go to Viviana and she gives me the best advice. Not only have I gotten post op care there and body sculpting. I've also gotten my teeth whitening done there with my boyfriend and we loveeeddd it! It was like a teeth whitening date. We got to sit side by side and get it done at the same time. The process it a bit long but not too bad. Teeth whitening doesn't hurt your teeth, our teeth didn't feel sensitive afterwards they were just white and clean after. The gel my sting your gums and make them white BUT not to worry after they whiten your teeth they put something on your gums to get rid of the whiteness and it's back to normal. If you think you're gums are sensitive then I would suggest putting a numbing gel before going. read more

I felt like the owner of the store is quite bitchy, she always seemed mad and isn't too nice, she gave me a problem when I wanted to schedule my appointments bcz she was mad that they r so far apart from each other and that I'm not able to make it on other days. in fact, I'm being too nice about the owner, she was actually very disrespectful towards me and extremely arrogant, I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially after surgery. When you are dealing with all the changes your body is going through after surgery, you really don't want to deal with a bitchy, arrogant and disrespectful owner who doesn't care about your well being. This Spa is amazing. Let me start off with the customer service. From the moment I called I was met with professionalism. My first appointment I was made to feel so comfortable as I really didnt know what to expect having had surgery and needing a few massages. Maria took me to the back and the ambiance was absolutely beautiful. I was offered hot pineapple tea with cinnamon or cucumber and mint infused water. I chose the hot tea which was delicious. I appreciated Maria explaining everything that was being done to me and I let her do her job. After my massage I felt like a new person. I thank my doctor for referring me to them because they truly are a gem. I have booked several appointments with them and cannot wait until the next one. Viviana, Yvette & Diana are sweethearts!!!!! I definitely recommend going here. They are very knowledgable and know what they're doing. Customer service is never an issue, they're very personable and friendly. Not to mention very clean and sterile. The massages are exactly what's needed to keep you from getting fibrosis.
