Visited this establishment today with my family including my 89 year old grandma. I was truly appalled by the service. The manager was very rude and disrespectful. There was a mix up and our number was called prematurely to enter the restaurant and enjoy the buffet. We were then told we needed to go outside and wait. Once we finally made it inside I noticed that there were flies circling around the food area - gross! And to top it off, the food was luke warm. Also there are rat trap outside. This definitely seems to be some sort of health code violation. I will not be returning. read more

This Lake Park staple has been serving all you can eat home style food for the past 35 years. The owner who is Greek used to be the chef for Holiday House, a chain of now closed buffet restaurants that started in Deland in the 1950's. When Holiday House closed Spiros Lorenjatos opened the Carving Station Buffet We went for a drive along the beach on Saturday and ended up in this area around dinner time so we decided to stop in. I had passed it many times before and was always curious to try it. The inside is quaint and reminds you of vintage Florida with the map placemats and turquoise yellow color scheme. As soon as we entered we were invited to help ourselves to the fresh salad bar that included fresh and crisp vegetables, fruit, and cold salads like coleslaw and macaroni salad. In this area there were also two kinds of soup. When we sat down they brought out warm complimentary garlic bread dripping in butter. It was so good we ordered another loaf. Dinner is all you care to eat of carved meat and hot and cold dishes. During our visit there were carving leg of lamb, ham, turkey, and roast beef. There was also jerk chicken, Chicken Francese, spaghetti, pulled pork, baked tilapia, shepherd's pie, macaroni and cheese, rice, green beans, corn, beans, collared greens, carrots, sweet potatoes, cabbage. stuffing, and more. The food isn't fancy, think along the lines of what your American grandmother would make for a holiday dinner but everything I tried was good. Our server was Kathleen Mei who was so sweet and attentive. She was a highlight of the visit. Drinks are included with the buffet price of $18.69 for dinner. The included desserts were a rice pudding, Jello with fruit, and an apple salad. For an additional $5 you can get a massive slice of one of their house baked cakes. It was tempting but we were really full at that point so we stuck to the refreshing jello and fruit. It is sad that this kind of buffet has faded out of the Florida's culinary landscape. You are much more likely to find and all you can eat Chinese buffet. If you miss going to Morrison's and Piicadilly for comfort food, this restaurant evokes the same kind of vibe. Stavroz is a sweet green guy who's been running this place for years. Do you want a great family cooked meal like roast beff turkey, meatloaf with the fixing this beat Golden Corral by a mile. clean and has pleasant serving staff. The offerings are limited but everything is excellent. These people are just awful, starting with "Spiro," who answers the phone. I am in Maryland, and I ordered $70 Thanksgiving dinner delivered for my aged and sick aunt and uncle in Riviera Beach. Spiro refused the Doordash drivers not one but THREE times, saying he was too busy. At no point on their website did they say they would refuse to deliver to old and sick people, no matter what the price. If this is the sort of dump YOU would do business with, I feel sorry for you. read more

Visited this restaurant on 4.7.25 because it was close to the Singer Hilton Resort in Riviera Beach, Fl. It also came up on the internet as a top restaurant near Singer Hilton Resort. So I took an Uber (cost $6.79 one way) to this restaurant. First impression: walking up to the front door, I saw the outside of the building, and I said boy if the food inside looks like this, I am in trouble. I entertained walking around to see if there was something better, but in all honesty, I was concerned for just being in this neighborhood. And so I opened the door and what I saw was not impressive. There was not that many options, and the food looked like it was old. Some man behind the cash register said to just sit anywhere. I stuck to the mashed potatoes and chicken. And the server brought me a drink and some bread. Cakes were $5 extra. I opted out. Summary: I have to say that this was the worst buffet I have ever eaten at. Not many options. Food looked like it had been sitting there for hours or more. Food did not look good at all. I was secretly asking God to help me not get sick. And worse, the price totalled $20. Imagine this. Well, I am not from Florida, so I am headed back home in 2 days, but decided to share this review so that others can make make a decision as to whether or not to eat there. Your choice. Service could've been better but overall I am going to give this place 4 stars. I thought the food was good and the buffet was constantly stocked properly. The carver working the carving station was generous. There were a variety of comfort foods and it was a decent buffet. When you first sit down, they also bring you bread. The staff would clean plates as they walked past your table but they were not attentive. We were never able to find someone for a refill or to ask for anything. They had the cake displayed in a glassed area and my son was standing there to be serviced for about 5 minutes. No sign indicated that dessert was not included in the buffet price. After many people walked past and saw him, I finally had to flag someone down and ask if he can get a slice. What was surprising was the fact that they give a discount for cash payments. This buffet diner is a GEM, they don't make places like this anymore and it should be packed every night. They have been here since at least the 1970's , it was called Holiday House back then, and not much has changed in what they offer. The food is home cooked, delicious and they are generous with unlimited plates for the sides and salads. It is reasonable in comparison to eating out elsewhere. I highly recommend this for eating in or take out. The people are nice and appreciate your business more than anywhere I've been. A+ read more

Carving Station is a treasure and has been for decades. The words in the self-description and the first review are absolutely true. Spiros is a man with a mission, which he fulfills 365 days a year, no doubt providing many of his customers with their one daily substantial meal at a reasonable price. To what was said in the other items, I would add that consistency and quality are the bywords. every item appears every day, freshly prepared. An added feature for those accustomed to wine with their meals is that having no liquor license, the Station welcomes patrons to bring their own favorites and serve themselves. No exorbitant mark-ups and no $25/bottle corkage fees. Delicious and plentiful food, impeccably clean, with a friendly and attentive staff, I shall return often for lunch and dinner. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE Food was FOUL and overpriced. Everything was cold, flavorless, and overcooked. Beef and lamb were gray and tasted like dust. The turkey was so overdone it was flaking. Mac n cheese had all of the baked topping mixed in and the bottom half of the tray was almost ice cold. Veggies at the salad bar were all wilted- soft, gelatinous cucumbers and browning carrot shreds. Hot sides like mashed potatoes and carrots were cold and watery. I've been recommended here multiple times by lots of people and was seriously offended by what I was served. I could barely eat a tablespoon of everything I picked up. Not to mention the bill came out to DOUBLE what's advertised online. The girl at the front was rude and very unwelcoming, and the owner was twice as bad once we spoke to him. My family and I have been eating at this establishment for more than 20 years and STILL LOVE IT! One of the great things about the carving station is that all of their great foods stay consistent and do not change their great flavor EVER! Why wait for Thanksgiving in November, when you can have it at anytime here. Literally feels like home. The staff makes sure of that as well. The carving station offers turkey, ham, prime rib and lamb usually. They will sometimes have corned beef as a special guest. Their fried chicken is one of my favorites. Along with meatloaf, sausage with peppers and onions, and baked fish. Delicious sides like mashed potatoes, green beans, collards and steamed cabbage just to name a few. If that all wasn't enough there are salad and soup choices too. Oh did I mention this was a buffet?... all you can eat!!!! A very clean buffet too. They have desserts (not included in the buffet) but worth trying. Layered cake and warm bread pudding are a must. This is a little home town buffet restaurant in Lake Park that you may want to try out? I've been here a few times and have always had excellent service and great food. They have an excellent salad and soup bar. I love it when they have the chili. They have a fair amount of meats that are carved and placed on your plate. They always have ham, Turkey, roast beef and lamb. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, they have prime rib in place of the roast beef and corned beef which is my favorite! So tender and very yummy!! Also a nice selection of vegetables and potatoes. If you have a sweet tooth, they have several puddings and jello. If your more into a nice manly size slice of cake, they have a variety for an added fee. The carrot cake is very tasty!! All for a very reasonable price! BEWARE!!! While driving home from South Florida, my family and I decided to give this place a try, as I heard my family mention it a few times. Upon arrival, the girl at the front desk, was not welcoming, as she appeared to be annoyed to have to tell us their procedure. (Do we just sit, get seated, pay first, pay after?) We grabbed our plates and walked the buffet looking for something that looked promising. At minimum a salad and a piece of meat from the carving stations would be sufficient. I'll say 1 thing, the lettuce was fresh and crunchy. The cucumbers and carrot shreds were wilted and soggy, the macaroni and cheese was mushy, and obviously mixed from many other containers, as the baked top was mixed though out, cold and obviously not fresh from the day. The pulled pork and jerk chicken were both oily and so over done it was crunchy, the lamb was dry as a bone, the roast beef was over well done, and my daughter compared the turkey to cardboard. Nothing had flavor and none of us could eat 1/4 of what we took. We asked for our check. I was going to chalk it up to bad day, bad experience, wont come back, and based on the photos and info on Google, we were expecting to pay $11.00 per person at lunchtime (before 3:30). There are 4 of us. Imagine my surprise when the bill totaled $83.19. I do not walk out on my bill, ever, so I paid it and left. That's not the worst of it. Once I got in the car and realized I had to buy another round of lunch, I decided to call and speak to the manager/owner, who wasn't there. I told the girl my concerns and requested a call back. Spiro, the owner called me back first thing this morning, and asked me what happened. I explained the entire situation and spoke to him from 1 small business owner to another, about how I understand that every business has a bad day now and then, and I don't like to leave reviews, especially without the respect of a conversation with the owner first. I let him know that 2 other negative reviews were literally posted while we were in the restaurant, saying what I was saying to him. He offered to give me free meals next time I come back. Only, I live in Virginia and honestly wouldn't waste another meal on that mediocre, at best food. I told him I think it would be fair to meet me in the middle and refund me 1/2 of my check. Again, owning a small business, I understand expenses and how inflation and rising costs affect us. He refused my offer. I explained that I would be writing this review and alerting my family, who go there often, and were surprised at our experience and bill, how I was treated and he would be losing 10 customers, and that I would be filing a dispute for the charge on my card. He yelled at me, " I'd rather give it all back that way and lose the customers, than refund you myself". Then he hung up on me. Moral of the story, idk if the food always sucks, but on Mondays I believe they take everything leftover from the weekend and reheat it for lunch. Its not good.
