Not everyone is into buffets, but if you're into good home-cooked, all you can eat food, The Carving Station is a great place to go if you're in the Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach, Jupiter area. Old-school salad bar with all the sides, delicious soup, plenty of vegetables and a plethora of meats to choose from, including beef, lamb, schnitzel, chicken, turkey and more! Did I mention dessert?!

Restaurant

Visited this establishment today with my family including my 89 year old grandma. I was truly appalled by the service. The manager was very rude and disrespectful. There was a mix up and our number was called prematurely to enter the restaurant and enjoy the buffet. We were then told we needed to go outside and wait. Once we finally made it inside I noticed that there were flies circling around the food area - gross! And to top it off, the food was luke warm. Also there are rat trap outside. This definitely seems to be some sort of health code violation. I will not be returning.

This Lake Park staple has been serving all you can eat home style food for the past 35 years. The owner who is Greek used to be the chef for Holiday House, a chain of now closed buffet restaurants that started in Deland in the 1950's. When Holiday House closed Spiros Lorenjatos opened the Carving Station Buffet We went for a drive along the beach on Saturday and ended up in this area around dinner time so we decided to stop in. I had passed it many times before and was always curious to try it. The inside is quaint and reminds you of vintage Florida with the map placemats and turquoise yellow color scheme. As soon as we entered we were invited to help ourselves to the fresh salad bar that included fresh and crisp vegetables, fruit, and cold salads like coleslaw and macaroni salad. In this area there were also two kinds of soup. When we sat down they brought out warm complimentary garlic bread dripping in butter. It was so good we ordered another loaf. Dinner is all you care to eat of carved meat and hot and cold dishes. During our visit there were carving leg of lamb, ham, turkey, and roast beef. There was also jerk chicken, Chicken Francese, spaghetti, pulled pork, baked tilapia, shepherd's pie, macaroni and cheese, rice, green beans, corn, beans, collared greens, carrots, sweet potatoes, cabbage. stuffing, and more. The food isn't fancy, think along the lines of what your American grandmother would make for a holiday dinner but everything I tried was good. Our server was Kathleen Mei who was so sweet and attentive. She was a highlight of the visit. Drinks are included with the buffet price of $18.69 for dinner. The included desserts were a rice pudding, Jello with fruit, and an apple salad. For an additional $5 you can get a massive slice of one of their house baked cakes. It was tempting but we were really full at that point so we stuck to the refreshing jello and fruit. It is sad that this kind of buffet has faded out of the Florida's culinary landscape. You are much more likely to find and all you can eat Chinese buffet. If you miss going to Morrison's and Piicadilly for comfort food, this restaurant evokes the same kind of vibe. They are also open 365 days a year. How many places can say that?

9.2/10 This South Florida carving station buffet hits perfectly -- juicy roast beef and turkey carved fresh, tender inside with that golden edge. The staff serve with care, portions are generous, and the flavor feels homemade but upscale. Warm lighting and tropical charm make it feel like vacation dining done right.

There's a fish item, carved ham, beef and turkey and side items mashed potatoes, Mac and Cheese, veggies and more. good home cooked food at a good value. So we came here for a large party…read more We walked in and were immediately greeted and explained we were here for the party. We sat down and chatted for a bit. Then met our waiter and waitress. We ordered water. We were then asked about ordering our food. Water still had not come so we ordered our food. The thing about this place which is cool is it's all you can eat but instead of you walking up you order and get it. The menu is very large and busy. But I ordered the custard bun, chicken wings, tuna toro belly, and something else to start. We then got our food. The waters still haven't come. Eventually after roughly 12 min after getting our food we got the water. The toro belly was good. Never had it before so have nothing to compare it to. The custard bun seemed old. Not fluffy on outside custard seemed old inside which if they were re-used from the night before fine but the rating counts under it. The chicken wings were nothing to write home about. I then ordered Mongolian beef, the crystal shrimp dumpling, ny strip hibachi, ginger salad, and toro belly again. The ny strip was forgotten and never brought to me, the Mongolian beef was spicy and the beef you could tell was cheap or old, the ginger salad wasn't ginger. It was like a creamy dressing with salad. The crystal shrimp was good but then apparently they made 3 orders by accident. The Toro belly was good. I ordered a few more things. Water, I needed a refill but took a very long time to get. With dessert; the fried Oreos are good. Ice cream was good. I tried my wife's ny strip, which I liked. Not season well. I tried her honey chicken which was thick. Overall a 4 is a very solid and fair score.

I've been wanting to visit for some time as it's very close to my home. Absolutely loved it…read more I visited early for dinner in a Sunday. You order Al la cart but it's all included (no drinks) The assortment was overwhelming! I chose mostly sashimi and it was so fresh and delicious. I also tried the hibachi steak which was also delicious. By the end I was so full I didn't when room for dessert! Will visit again to try to hot entrees and boba tea!

We had a really good dinner here. Service was friendly and attentive. Plates were cleared…read morefrequently and we were offered additional refills on our soup base. We started by choosing our base. My husband had the tom yum (kha?) one and our granddaughter had the classic and I chose the chicken one. My base started out a bit salty, but after all the additions it was perfect -- no need to add extra soy or salt to the broth. For sauces I chose two standards -- hoisin sauce and a mix i made of some soy sauce and vinegar (which I used for the dumplings). At our leisure -- it's all you can eat -- we tried many of the offerings. We skipped most of the exotic ones -- except my husband who happens to like chicken feet. I went for the seafood first. And liked most of what I chose, especially the large prawns which were my favorite. And I also really liked the rounds of shrimp paste. The clams were tiny, but good. The blue crabs were small and awkward to eat when so hot. I'd skip them next time. I also tried some beef and pork, but found the seafood options more to my liking. Of the veggies, I had a mix just to try a number of things. The baby bok choy leaves, the cabbage, and the bean sprouts were good, but I fell in love with those tiny little enoki mushrooms. My least faves were the taro and the hard squash For dessert, they also have fresh fruit (cherries, etc.) and cake squares on the buffet. And a separate ice cream bar. I liked their green tea ice cream the best. We were so stuffed when we left. But happy campers. We felt the price of the AYCE was well worth it here. We'd definitely come again. I think it's more fun with a group.

Local Hot Pot convenient to us with a very clean restaurant and fast friendly service staff!…read moreMy wife had book marked this place a while and we had our granddaughter visiting who also had hot pot on her bucket list. We each tried different broths and gathered the multiple protein and veggies available. I stuck with mainly seafood items and did try the chicken feet ... Yummy! Staff was attentive and helpful in refilling broth pots as needed. A Delicious dining experience!

As Chinese food buffets go, the price can't be beat. I particularly like going for lunch. A friend…read moreand I go and we always get green tea(more on that later) and our bill after tax is a bit over $20 for the both of us for lunch on a weekday. (FYI I'm judging this based on other buffets at the same price point in the area) The food: All the food is better than any lower end price buffet. Not nearly as greasy as what I could order, sushi is basic but didn't smell fishy but I only stuck to the non-raw rolls, no need to test my luck. I really love the Crab Rangoon, very full with filling and slightly sweet like cream cheese. Nothing really stuck out, everything was what you could order from a Chinese restaurant but, once again, way less greasy than ordering which always gives me a stomach ache. I always order green tea there and I never expect much, there is the basic bag of tea in the metal pot. But unfortunately it taste like they could use a couple more bags as it is very water down and the tap water they use doesn't taste so good. Covid/Cleanliness: All staff is wearing masks, restaurant is not dirty, seats and tables are wiped off after every use. There's nothing really I can complain about here, it's about as clean as any buffet I've ever been to in the same price range. Over the couple of times I've been there, I've never seen any bugs. Staff: The staff is particularly friendly, as I stated above all are wearing masks. Throughout my stay my waitress was very nice and attentive. My water cup never hit the bottom as she was always filling it up. I've been there both in a busy time for dinner and slow time for lunch and I can say that both times I was waited on equally as well. Overall, I really like this buffet and it's one of the buffets that I pick for lunch when I go out. I can always trust that it won't give me a stomach ache and I won't go broke filling my stomach. I wouldn't recommend going for dinner, I've only been once but for the price (around $35-40 for two) and how packed they get it's not really worth it. Additionally, as many other buffets in the area, the crab legs are boiled in plain water and they're not really appetizing. So if that's the only reason you want to go for dinner, skip it.

Just under $20 for lunch, with a drink and after tax, I do not think it's worth the experience. The…read morefried rice, General chicken, and some of the meat dishes are decent, but just about everything else in the buffet is extremely subpar. The wait staff is very friendly, but they look overworked. Frankly I feel bad for them, having to constantly clean up this mess. The place looks aged and could definitely use some renovations. I came in to eat at the very end of their lunch rush on a Sunday, which could have been a judging factor for the 2 stars. Not sure, but I probably won't be coming back.
