Buerger Brothers Construction built an addition to our home, which included a 700+ square foot garage, using concrete poured on Piers and a floor poured as a "Slab on void" due to bad soils report. We started planning in May of 2019, with construction from June through October of 2020, we found ways to work during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Communicating with Christian was a breeze, he was easy to talk to, responsive, professional and truly cares about what you are conveying. Because I am a retired engineer I had to stick my nose into everything... From the beginning he brought in professionals from the Architect, Structural Engineers to the finishing Carpenter and Painter, each step was amazing and all within budget. The cadre of subcontractors hired by Burger Brothers had to meet a high standard of professionalism and produce a high quality product, they were all wonderful to work with. Of note, was the daily cleanup, the care taken and the security to the existing area, especially working in the midst of a pandemic! Inconvenience was kept to a minimum and in the end we can actually say the complete project went quite smoothly and was a great experience. Would I hire them to do it again? Absolutely "In a heartbeat, no doubt about it!" I just cannot brag enough about this company and I promise you will not regret your decision to hire Christian and his crew! I could go on and on, but you get the gist.... if you want honesty and professionalism, these are your guys! Without hesitation I would recommend them and would hire them again to do any construction project.

(And as we all know, there are always bumps in renovation) Long story, short-thier company did not have the correct licensing to work on my condo but assured me there were no problems. Even to the point that I had moved out of my apartment to get out of the way of a demo crew only to find out that they couldn't do the work and had to cancel three days later. At that point, they had already marked up the walls and floors to where I would need to bring in repairmen to patch the drywall and carpeting. To add insult to injury, when I tried to find a new contractor and plumber, KK & B were incredibly rude to me and the new company. We asked if we could purchase the fixtures through them to avoid further delay. Jonathan from KK& B was actually yelling and threatening both to me and to my new contractor who had graciously offered to get the parts from these other guys given the time crunch. As an update, KK& B sold me the fixtures at a 15% markup and refused to give me back my $500 deposit even thought they did no work on my home siting trips the permit office that resulted in nothing. It cost me a lot of money to try and work with these guys only to hire a different ( better) contractor in the end.

The tiled curb and pan failed within a year and resulted in water damage to the ceiling below. They also made rookie mistakes such as forcing the new drain pipe assembly down too far, buckling the ceiling below. All of this was "repaired", but under strong duress where the owner, Steve, blamed us for the failure of his pan/tile work. Now it all has failed AGAIN... less than 3 years after the initial install and less than 2 years after they "fixed" it all. So, I just spent a bunch of money having it ripped out and done correctly - the new contractor discovered that the waterproof membrane was originally installed incorrectly by Kreative Kitchens - including cuts and slits in the membrane around the curb. Not very waterproof as it turns out. And, they used drywall where concrete board should have been used. All along, Kreative Kitchens has been unprofessional, difficult to work with and blamed us for all of the problems with their work. I would NEVER use Kreative Kitchens or work with Steve Lujan again. Never. Ever.

We went with Kitchens on Broadway after receiving a glowing recommendation from neighbors who had a great experience. Unfortunately, we later discovered that the designer they worked with had left the company, along with several other senior designers. We skipped doing our own homework and ended up regretting it. We paid a $1,200 design fee, and after six months--only after we had repeatedly asked for our money back--we finally received renderings and a layout that essentially copied a design we had already created ourselves using free online software and had provided to them three months earlier, so this was incredibly disappointing. Since then, we've done our own research and found several other reputable kitchen and bath designers in the Denver area who offer an initial design, budget estimate, and timeline before requiring any payment. Often being able to provide an initial design within 2 weeks. That level of transparency and professionalism made us realize how far off our experience here was. I strongly recommend doing your due diligence as there are better options out there.
