She figured to walk around to see what they offered so we walked in. While looking at some jewelry and watches, the store manager (Camy) came out to greet us. My friend had no intention to purchase anything but a watch caught her eye. The Sales Associate (SA) and Camy guided us to their VIP room where we were served beverages and a cookie. I visited the store last weekend with my mom, traveling all the way from San Francisco so she could buy me a Love ring. The associate told us they didn't have anyone available to engrave the ring and asked us to come back in a few days. For a luxury brand with so many employees on the floor, it's disappointing that you don't offer same-day engraving--especially for tourists who come from out of state. The Ala Moana location is the only Cartier store in which I had an outstanding experience (granted I've only been to a few). From the minute I set foot in the store to the second I left, everyone was so kind and professional. Travis was my SA and I would rather fly back to Hawaii to make a purchase than visit any of the stores located near me- especially not Valley Fair because if I'm dropping thousands of dollars, I'm allowed to be petty. Travis was so gracious and never made me feel rushed or pressured me into buying anything. I was able to try out 3 pieces at a time to compare and get a feel for what I really wanted. Additionally, I really appreciated how he took the time to point out features on certain pieces and provided the story behind the jewelry as these were all details that I would have never thought to ask. Came here on 2 separate days and both times without an appointment but they were able to squeeze me in. On the first visit, the SA who helped me was super nice. I knew what I wanted and she was able get me in and out really quick. She also took the time to gift wrap my necklace and gave me a bottle of champagne to celebrate the occasion. Conversation was easy and I left happy. My second visit was very similar wherein I knew what I wanted except the SA (different one) wasn't as attentive. First off, I know my size since I'm already wearing Cartier bracelets and prefer a tighter fit. I also have baby wrists. While I appreciate the thought of wanting me to compare the fit, if I'm a 14 in the Juste un Clou and a 15 for the Love then it's really unnecessary to have me try the 16 and 17 for the Panthere. BEWARE OF THE REPS SELLING YOU DEFECTIVE ITEMS!!! We were sold a Love Bracelet with 6 diamonds that had a defective bracelet closing system! When I was trying on the bracelet, the rep (who no longer works there) told me the closing system worked that way - that the two ends of the bracelet did not line up directly with each other and were offset by a little. The rep told us that was "normal". We didn't know any better since it was our first Cartier purchase. A few months ago, I went to get the bracelet cleaned at a different Cartier store. This was when I was informed that the bracelet had a defect! I then had the bracelet sent to the New York store to get a diagnosis of what was wrong. Turns out the bracelet closing system is broken and would have to be reproduced for a cost of $2,100! We were shocked since we were sold the bracelet in this condition. It is not right that we now we have to pay for it to be corrected... The management team couldn't do anything for us, so we're stuck with this lemon. I hate to write this review since we have made multiple purchases at this location before we found out we were sold a defective item. Cannot believe Cartier would even allow defective items in their inventory to be purchased in the first place. read more

2024 summer Hawaii vacation included a trip to Cartier. My initial reaction was disappointing as they are located in a very small location as their main location is being remodeled. My wife really likes Cartier. She has excellent taste. I told her early in our relationship that I wouldn't get any high-end, luxury jewelry for myself because I'm a low key kind of guy, and I don't like to show off. Slowly over the years, she's been breaking down my armor, and I guess I can level up to mid-low key guy. Cartier is located in Ala Moana Shopping Center, 2nd level, near the stage, across Louis Vuitton. It's currently the only Cartier store in Hawaii as the Duty Free location is closed and will stay closed till probably next year. You have to make an appointment on its website to visit the store. We tried to just walk in, and it was either all booked for the day or the next available appointment will be several hours later. It's too bad we didn't get in that day because the prices went up just two days later. Doh! -_- I went to try on first, and it was Kevin who helped us. He was courteous, friendly, and professional. He never pressured us, and made us feel comfortable. I wanted to compare with another brand. After a night to think about it, I decided on Cartier! Made another appointment for the following day, but he wasn't working! This time Miwa helped us. She was very nice and friendly, patient and well-spoken. Inside is definitely super clean and organized. Security guard at several posts. Hand sanitizer before you enter and wipe with a super thick Cartier napkin. Overall, I had a nice experience, and my definitely happy with my new Love Collection ring. You can definitely see the quality and craftsmanship. Service here is top notch. The SAs here are so nice. You need an appointment to get in the door these days because of COVID. They have you sanitize your hands at the door. I noticed that the SAs all wear gloves before touching the merchandise. You walk in the door and the watches are in the back. The purses are in the back to the right in a separate room. The showcase in the main showroom is where the pricier pieces are located. Cartier is known for their watches and two of their jewelry lines: Love and Juste Un Clou (just a nail). I'm pretty sure that's their main sellers. Most people get the bracelets, but it also comes in rings, earrings, and necklaces. Don't hesitate to make an appointment if you want to go in and browse. I'd like to preface this review by saying I'm not a luxury brand kind of girl but I did grow up in a household that embraced everything luxury, from riding in BMWs & Mercedes Benzs, to wearing mom's Burberry and Louis Vuitton purses, to living in the best neighborhood after growing up near the projects. It was my birthday so I wanted a Cartier LOVE bracelet. We texted our personal shopper, Rumi, who helped with previous purchases to make our appointment today. We were running late (per usual) but called the Cartier Boutique and was reassured that we were still able to walk in at 4pm instead of 3pm. We were greeted by the man who helped us on the phone prior. At the door, we were asked our names and our appointment times. Masks are worn by staff at all times. Hand sanitizers and gloves are offered at the front door. Little water bottles were given to us also. That was so nice for this breastfeeding mama! Because we were much later than scheduled, Rumi was helping someone when we walked in, but she helped us when she was freed up. She's so sweet and funny. All staff seem so knowledgeable about the jewelry that no matter who we spoke to we were given the best customer service. As we walked in we saw a Jake Gyllenhaal ad poster and we talked about how everyone hates him (lol). But like Alex said, love isn't too far away from hate hehehe. Now to the jewelry: I couldn't try everything on due to time constraints but I was sized for my LOVE bracelet & I also eyed the LOVE rings to match. Rumi helped me don the choker-style LOVE necklace, which Alex says would look great with a V neck outfit. Everything looks sooo much better than I imagined. Alex wore gloves the whole time, too cute. A tip: They can engraving on site, but if you plan on having your jewelry engraved, be patient and have them send it off to New York. Their machine on site etches it on. Last time I visited Cartier, we did not make an appointment and we have to wait and we end up leaving with out check anything out, this time, after shopping at Hermes, we walked by the decided to go in to check it out again without an appointment, surprisingly we don't have to wait and someone come to take care us within 3 minutes. We shops at all the high end stores inside Ala Moana shopping center and kind of know how each and every stores greet and treat their customers. The lady who help us was very patience, my wife asked for all the difference sizes, styles to try them out. I know to size my ring size down because of Hawaii's humidity and last time I didn't listen to that advice the ring slides off my finger when I wave my hands. Tiffany's SA gave me the same advice as well. When I told Rumi the size I wear she gave me a doubting look. She was very passive aggressive. But, I was also on a mission. The next day, I know, or thought I knew, what I wanted, and set up an appointment so I could go full in on luxury shopping nirvana and Cartier did not disappoint. The ultimate decision was a great buying experience. I think I actually got great value on the pieces I decided to buy, especially compared to some of the other luxury options also at Ala Moana, and compared to different brands I've bought before. At this type of store, you also expect attention to detail, and that wasn't missed. But also celebration, and that was definitely delivered.
