Called to push back my appointment and I get a call back from one of there techs/sales guys basically telling me not to waste his time and asked what I needed and where I lived. He goes on and tells me they basically cover anywhere from Torrance to San Bernardino but being that I live by the harbor which is basically 5 miles away from Torrance, they don't cover that area. That might have been something the office could have said when I first booked the appointment. Honestly sounded like the guy just didn't want to do his job and come by and give me a quote. Horrible service! If you guys are reading this and living by the harbor area don't call these guys because they don't cover the area even though they'll go out to San Bernardino which is like 70 miles away from there office!

I gave them a call and they came the same following week! We had 8 CCTV cameras installed, and the quality of both the equipment and the installation is high quality and truly top-notch. What impressed me most was the speed and professionalism. They got all 8 cameras installed and set up within 4 hours!! The last place that did my installation took almost a week to complete lol. This left me shaken up. I spoke with several other companies and then Vernon came out. I can say that immediately you feel safe in his presence and it's very clear he cares about ensuring people are safe and FEEL safe in their homes. He is a former cop and it shows. He is someone with the experience and instincts to really understand safety and that was very apparent in our conversations. He's not a salesman - he's a security expert who knows what you need and is honest and direct. He didn't try to upsell me on excessive unnecessary items like other companies. He asked about my goals and truly sought to understand exactly what I wanted before giving his suggestions. I asked tons of questions which he answered thoroughly and patiently. The best part about the experience was he could instantly tell I was shaken up from a previous incident and was so compassionate while still being direct. He talked to me about how to keep myself safe in case of another break-in given the layout of the new house and improve overall house safety in other ways. He even noticed the doors weren't installed correctly and missing tiny parts that make a door super easy to kick in. You don't always get more bang for your buck and it's definitely much more expensive than a DIY Google Nest self install, but I will sleep better at night knowing I got the true expert advice I needed to keep myself and my home safe. Due to the permitting system in the area and the issues with the owner of the house I lease there may be issues with getting one feature but I am going very out of my way to find a way to get what he thinks I need. So glad I made that last call to APS.
