We wanted to share that we have an amazing experience every time we shop here. JOSHUA B, is our go to guy whenever we need anything. He's helped us with everything from dirt bike gear (head to toe) to oil and parts. Back in 2025, we purchased a set of universal training wheels from Carter's for my son's Kawasaki. When we got home to Pahrump, we realized they didn't fit the bike. I called and spoke with Josh, and when I made the trip back, he made the exchange quick and easy, helping us get the correct set. Ever since then, he's been our go to. He always takes the time to acknowledge us, answer our questions, and make sure we're taken cared of. Customer service like that is hard to find!! If you're looking for someone who's knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely wants to help, ask for Josh. We appreciate you, JOSH! See you again soon read more

I've been here twice with two different people each searching for and buying their bikes. Hugh and Drake were the sales team members that helped out. Both were very low pressure and quick to help answer questions, provide recommendations, etc. They let us browse in peace, did check in on us in a non-obtrusive way, and made the buying process pretty painless and no frills. Yes it is a dealership, so the ability to cut deals is minimal, they do try to tack on extras but a simple no gets those removed without any hassle or pushiness, and there is a bit of time involved mostly due to financing and them doing the final bike stuff to get it ready to ride out. All things that you should expect, so nothing came at a shock or had us frustrated. I don't feel like we got scammed, just make sure you know what to expect. I do prefer Carter over the other dealerships in town. read more

We went in there to look at some Rzrs. Hugh, the salesman was awesome--very friendly, patient, and genuinely excited about off-road vehicles. He helped us understand about the Rzrs we were reviewing. Recited to us the stats on the UTV. Knowledgeable. This is what really bumps their review on customer service. We walked up to checked out they had a big sale after Thanksgiving and the prices were amazing. I also loved their motorcycle appeal and KTMs. Great experience. read more

I was working with Noah on buying a bike. Everything was going great he was super helpful no issues at first. He said if I got the price from a different shop I was talking to he would price match. I got the price he called me said shouldn't be an issue and said he would confirm with general manager. He than called me back and raised the price $200 dollars. That was the first thing I didn't like. Than on the phone he started insulting me out of nowhere cause I didn't want to pay the additional price when we already verbally agreed on the price. Never had a salesman insult me multiple times when I was trying to make a purchase. This shop does not have integrity at all. Than shortly after I started getting a whole bunch of calls from insurance companies saying I asked for a quote on a car I never owned. Might be coincidence but I doubt it. Would never buy from them. read more

Outstanding Experience at Carter Powersports - Ask for Hugh! We had an absolutely amazing experience at Carter Powersports, and a huge part of that was our sales guy Hugh. From the second we walked into the dealership, Hugh was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He supported us through the entire week-long shopping process, answered every question we had, and never once made us feel rushed or pressured. Hugh went above and beyond helping us choose the perfect dirt bikes, walking us through the ins and outs of each bike, explaining features, differences, and what would best fit our riding style. He didn't stop there--he also helped us get fully set up with riding gear, parts, and accessories, making sure we were safe, comfortable, and confident before hitting the trails. The entire powersports buying experience was smooth, professional, and enjoyable. Communication was great, the process was transparent, and Hugh stayed engaged with us all the way until the moment we drove off the lot with our two brand-new dirt bikes. If you're looking for a top-tier motorcycle or dirt bike dealership, excellent customer service, and a salesperson who truly cares, Carter Powersports is the place to go--and Hugh is the guy to ask for. We couldn't be happier and will absolutely be back for future bikes, service, and accessories. Highly recommended! read more

This Place Is Shit I walked in there as a brand new rider! I wanted the 2024 GSXR 1000 R at the time it was brand new. They had a price tag of 18,449! I paid full in cash and somehow it ended up coming out to 25 grand with no warranty! The short end of the story is, I went back to a couple times to get a warranty that should've been included in that price and it never gave one to me! Don't waste your time or your money here at Carter power sports go somewhere else or buy out of state! Way better prices there's no coming up with six grand out of nowhere on top of the 18,000 for the bike! This place is shit read more

Granted, nobody likes to deal with dealers.. but there's just not too many choices when it comes to buying a new motorcycle, or in my case, a new 2024 Suzuki GSX-8R. There's 2 parts of this review, 1st part is the buying experience 2nd part is for service (full system exhaust install) Part I This is my first time buying a NEW motorcycle, I've got my eye on the 8R mainly of the color. Checked others to get quote and Carter seems to be the best one to deal with. Jim is the sales guy I've dealt with, very easy to deal with. We went back and forth a few times and settled on the price. Then it was just a matter of waiting for the finance guy as well as they needed to prep the new bike. As for the next step, the finance guy was easy to deal with too. Weren't pushy upselling extras, he had to go over all the options but once I declined he moves on. Part II As soon as I got my new bike you know I had to get an aftermarket exhaust. That's just SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) in my opinion. Now initially I was going to swap this out myself as I've done this in my previous bikes. But what I didn't realize is they were all standard/naked bikes so very easy to work on. The 8R was something else (compared to the 8S) I worked with Eric from the service department to get this going, dropped off at 9am on Sat and he texted me back afternoon that they were ready to put this back together. The only concern was a loose chain. I just can't believe this came loose already seeing how the bike only had 100 miles. So who knows what happened there. By 3:45pm it's finally ready. I got there around 4:10pm, got back by 4:30pm but on the way back I noticed the bike was running really HOT to a point where the red temp icon popped up (above 249F) I've talked to Eric about this and he suggested that I can wait till Monday and they can pick this up but I preferred to get this fix ASAP so I ended up riding back (in the rain). It took them about another hour to fix but I'm just glad they're the ones working on it and not me. read more

Used to be one of our go-to places, but after our recent experiences we will not be returning. First, we brought our Suzuki quad in for repair back in December. They were unable to fix it themselves and told us they needed to bring in a Suzuki specialist. It took THREE weeks for that to happen. We paid $1,500 for the repair, only for the quad to work once and then fail again the next time we tried to use it. As a family with a newborn, we don't ride every weekend -- so by the time we discovered the issue again, we were told there is only a 30-day guarantee and nothing could be done. Spending that amount of money for a repair that lasts one ride is extremely disappointing and does not feel customer-focused or family-friendly. Second issue -- we ordered a hat that never arrived. After waiting 3-4 weeks with zero communication, WE had to call for an update, only to find out it never came in. My husband then had to go to the store in person just to pick something else instead. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and unwillingness to stand behind expensive repairs has completely changed our opinion of this business. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend them based on our experience. read more

Came in to order two replacement lights for my KC light bar from the parts department with Alex. I was told the lights were on sale with a savings of $18 each and they should be in the store within 3 - 5 business days. Five days later I called the store to get an eta on delivery only to be told that my lights were never ordered, which had something to do with the sale price. I waited 5 days for nothing and two trips to the store. I actually insisted on a refund and will be taking my business elsewhere this company is a joke. Unprofessional to say the least. read more

Bought another motorcycle at Carter Powersports last week and it was a smooth transaction, as always. Best price in town, and it was not even close. The people that work at Carter's are passionate professionals and most have been riding their whole life, just like me. At the corporate dealerships, one often find salespeople that were flipping burgers a few months prior and just started riding and have next to no knowledge of the products they sell. Carter's is privately owned and the atmosphere there is completely different. I bought my first motorcycle from them in 2010 and the salesman at the time is now part of the senior management team. Don't waste your time with the others if this dealership sells the brand you are looking for. They are simply the best. read more

Was shopping for UTV helmets for my wife and myself looking either the Klim or Bell Force Air helmets . Local SoCal dealers did not have our sizes. I'm old now and I remember a time when the dealership was a place where you could trust the people that worked there. After having a $400 service done on my Rzr turbo, I had a loose tie rod, and soon after a fouled plug & bad wire. I don't recommend them for anything! I had ordered sand tires through the sales department, they came in the wrong size for my machine all together! They about had a melt down when I refused to take them and wanted a refund, said I must have given them the wrong information (I texted the guy photos of my current tires). Long story short, I have a $800 credit that is taking me FOREVER to use because I will not use them ever again for service and their inventory is minimal of cool stuff. read more

Had another great buying experience at Carter six years after my first. The best thing about Carter Powersports staff is they are for the most part the same ones I worked with years ago. Drake, Theron, Jim and Hugh in sales and Koa in service are all great to work with. It is a community of like minded enthusiasts who sell motorcycles. No hesitation recommending you give them an opportunity for your business. Drake offered a zero pressure buying environment and was upfront when negotiating my trade. I've been coming to Carter for years now. I had to as I had a KTM and that forces your hand to have a relationship with the local dealer. I have since parted ways with my KTM but I was won over by the service I received, particularly from Hugh. He was in service at the time and has since moved to sales.
