Southlake Envision Imaging clinic has been MOST accommodating, professional and time efficient every single time! I had at least 15 or more visits to help diagnose my serious conditions. Every time I have entered this location using my walker, I was & am still suffering from EXCRUCIATING pain & discomfort. My combined medical issues create this pain for at least 22 hrs of each and every of my days. Waiting, sitting, walking is extremely difficult for me, constantly. Southlake Envisions proficiency makes my visits much easier each and every time. The staff is attentive to helping me with the door when exiting and even assisting me to the back for each procedure every time. The simple & easy task of making my appointment, to the time waiting from check-in, to taking me back for each procedure, was ALWAYS made easy. They were not making special provisions for me alone, I noticed every patient from check in, to taking us back for the actual procedure, was little time. There were hardly any people waiting in the waiting room which makes me feel their scheduling system is on point. All the staff, from the office workers to the techs are kind, professional and so helpful when I needed assistance. Again not just for me, I noticed this overall for each patient! 1 Star -- Completely Failed by the Level of Care…read more I genuinely do not understand where the numerous five-star reviews for this facility are coming from, because my experience was nowhere close to five-star care. I specifically chose this facility in part because their website advertises ultrasound availability. After arriving, however, I learned that an ultrasound technician was not actually there and had to be called in. When someone is choosing where to seek urgent medical care, advertised diagnostic capabilities matter. I came in with significant left-sided pelvic/ovarian pain and a complicated medical history. I was completely honest with the physician about the pain medications I am already prescribed and why I take them. Instead of feeling like that honesty helped my care, I immediately felt judged. His demeanor and facial expression noticeably changed, the examination felt rushed, and he seemed eager to leave the room. The nursing care was equally concerning. They attempted to establish an IV seven times without success. I was stuck seven separate times, and I did not receive so much as an apology. Based on my experience, I had serious concerns about the level of competency and training demonstrated during my care. I was eventually given one Toradol injection. The physician had told me he would address my pain, yet I still had to specifically ask for pain relief. The transvaginal ultrasound was excruciatingly painful. Ironically, the ultrasound technician who had to be called in was one of the only people who actually advocated for me. She could clearly see the amount of pain I was experiencing and advocated for something stronger to help control it. More than 30 minutes later, I still had not heard a word from anyone regarding that request. I wasn't given a call light. I wasn't connected to continuous vital-sign monitoring. I was left alone in a room in significant pain without meaningful communication about what was happening or what the plan for my care was. I was also extremely disturbed by what I witnessed regarding patient privacy. Nursing staff discussed another patient's medical information inside my room and used that patient's first and last name. Regardless of the technical circumstances, patients should not have to hear identifiable information about another patient's care, and it made me seriously question how my own private medical information was being handled. Most frustrating of all, the ultrasound confirmed multiple cysts on my left ovary, exactly where I was experiencing significant pain. I did not come here without a legitimate medical concern. The only two employees I can genuinely compliment are the receptionist and the ultrasound technician. Both were compassionate and professional. The ultrasound technician, in particular, recognized that I was hurting and actually advocated for me. I chose this facility because of its extremely high reviews and because it appeared to offer the diagnostic services I needed. I expected compassionate, competent urgent medical care. Instead, I experienced seven unsuccessful IV attempts, inadequate communication, serious concerns about patient privacy, inadequate pain management, and a diagnostic service advertised as available that required someone to be called in. I came here looking for help. Instead, I am leaving feeling judged, ignored, and defeated. I have absolutely no idea where all of these five-star reviews are coming from, but mine certainly will not be one of them.

My advice is stay away…read more Long story short................. Was referred to Dr. Perez for a suspected Actinic keratosis right in the middle of my nose. Guess what? He missed it. Wasn't until I got home, did I realize he did not treat it. So, I ended up setting another appointment with another dermatologist as the spot was biopsied to be Basil Cell Cancer. Remember, this is why I was referred to his office! How in the world could he miss it??? It gets even better............ He missed another spot on my forearm that was also biopsied, and it turned out to be Squamous Cell Cancer. Ended up seeing a third Dermatologist who performed MOHL's Surgery to remove the growth he completely missed. Believe it or not, if that isn't enough to stay away...... He was not in my network so instead of paying my normal deductible, he charged me full price as my insurance does not cover out of network physicians. My opinion is low class for not telling me my insurance was not valid at that office, also if the cancer had not been caught and spread? Not cool! Any good attorneys out there? I was in so much pain and needed help. I could not find any podiatrist available for appointments in my area and would have had to wait five days. I called Academy and they put my mind at ease. She said, "don't worry we will take care of you". I literally was about to cry because I was so happy. I arrived to the Argyle office greeted with joy and happiness. The doctor told me what we needed to do with confidence and the desire to stop my pain. Unfortunately, the x-ray machine was not working. They called the Flower Mound Location, at the end of the day on a Thursday, and they did not hesitate inviting me to their office. (I would have driven anywhere to get the help needed). Well, the staff at the Flower Mound office did not disappoint. They were welcoming and kind. It was clear they know their patients. Each time a patient entered the office the greeting was full of hospitality and kindness. (This was at the end of the day!) The doctor and MA were assuring that there was a plan that would help me. They spent time with me letting me know I was in good hands. It was quite clear everyone loves their job!!! Thank you all for your care of your patients! You truly know the meaning of customer service!!!

I later received a bill for several hundred dollars because the services were not covered as I had been told. Since then, I have sent several requests for records or further explanation and they have all been ignored.

They no longer have the real sweet lady that did the mammograms. Instead there's a new gal and she…read moreisn't friendly and at one point was so rude I couldn't believe it. Also, a radiologist no longer looks at the mammogram right away. Instead she let me know that my dr would get the results in 5 - 7 days. I've never had to wait on results at any place before including here, but I guess they've changed things over the last year. Update: I got my results and they said no change year over year. I find that hard to believe, considering I have a golf ball size lump there that definitely wasn't there the year before. I called and asked that they look at it again. They never called me back. I called today to see if a radiologist had looked at it yet. And no, a radiologist still hasn't looked at it but said a mammogram tech looked at it and maybe it's a cyst. So, I would say to absolutely never go here. You can not count on a radiologist looking at your scans. Now, next week I am going to get looked at somewhere else because it's now baseball size. North Star has prevented me from getting proper treatment for over a month now due to their slow results, lack of care, and not having a radiologist look over scans.
