Not only are they following Covid protocol to a T, they are also very clean, organized and hold themselves to a higher standard then most establishments I've ever seen, including restaurants, hospitals and office buildings. I wanna start off by saying this has nothing to do with the floor staff, the ones actually screening and sticking donors. They're great, but honestly I've completely had it with the management at this location and corporate. I've been coming here for about 3 years now, and I've donated ~ 300 times in that span. This center has gone extremely down hill, especially this year. So beginning of November '21, they started a punch pass LOYALTY program in an effort to retain donors. You go up a tier after every 10 donations, and after 50 donations, you hit platinum status which gives you the benefit of VIP status in the center where you could skip to the front of the screening line and skip to the front of the line to be seated to donate. The quickest someone could reach this status is 6 months + 1 week, so bc their weeks start Monday, it would have been April 20 '22. In that time span I missed 4 total donations. I hit platinum on May 5th (50 donations out of a possible 54 in this time span). I was like the 3rd or 4th donor to hit platinum at the time. During this time, they've had major staffing issues (mass turnover). This had caused screening times to sky rocket to 3-4 hours. So bc of this, new donors complained about being skipped in line, and either management or corporate ended the VIP benefits. Which is stupid, bc it's a loyalty program to retain donors. At this time I had written a strongly worded email directed to the corporate office that decided to punish LOYAL donors for benefits they spent 6+ months earning only. The manager and I m had what I thought was a productive phone conversation regarding this issue, but she reiterated the VIP benefits were canceled. So apparently they decided to re-instate the VIP benefits for some people, not sure if management ever bothered informing anyone but I highly doubt it. I noticed certain people getting to skip lines again, I asked one time and they said no they hasn't been reinstated, a few weeks later I ask again and they said yes but only for the people who got it early and they should be on one of two lists, The first one allows you to skip to the front of the screening line which is the longer one, and the second one allows you to skip to be seated first, which is OK I guess, but 99% of the time is pointless because they can only see you based on machine availability for which arm you can use anyways. I thought this was great considering I was one of the first four or five people to reach platinum status. I get told I'm not on the first list, wasn't sure if I was on the second. So I asked to speak with the manager to discuss why I'm not on the list. First she tells me that it's only for people who hit platinum before they cut it off, for the loyal donors (Which I met that line). Then she tells me that even though I hit platinum well before the cut off, it's because I don't have enough punches on my platinum pass on the second line of punches, ignoring the fact that I had already rightfully earned my benefits by that point. At this point I'm at 56/62 possible donations. So I'm even more confused bc I have not once gotten to skip either line in over a month now, and not even being told I'm on either list. The response I got from the manager was essentially a half hearted 'sorry bud but you missed out by ' and terrible reasoning as to why I didn't get to retain my benefits that I EARNED. Basically I'm being told, yeah I did everything I was supposed to do to earn my benefits, but after earning them, I wasn't far enough along the next 10 weeks worth of punches (again I was only 6 punches behind the other handful of people over what's now 7.5 months). Make it make sense. I still don't know if I have any benefits, and the benefits that I MAY have don't even help me if there isn't the right machine available. The employees are understaffed and over worked so much that they can't even keep the new people coming back and all of their good staff keep leaving as well. I don't know if management or corporate know how to run a business, but this isn't the way. read more

This place needs to hire people who have take phlebotomy classes and have plenty of practice before they stick patients. My last two visits there were a nightmare. They just don't have enough staff that knows what they're doing on sticking people to draw the plasma. I was also told that after the 14th visit I would get a $75 bonus. The bonus never appeared in my account. I have picture proof right here that I went 14 times on top of that the employees tend to lose their cool if you tell them anything to do. A girl in black and red braids gave me a lot of trouble, in the Manager told me that donating their "just probably wasn't for me. I'll tell you what is for me. Having people that know what to do when they stick you and have an equipment that runs properly that they don't have to squeeze on the tubes to make your donation finish in less than two hours.The bruises from my last two draws lasted two weeks. read more

I literally waited over 2 hours before even being sat down to donate. This is ridiculous. Stop hiring slow people who don't care about the donors. I left the facility at 12:45pm. read more

Let me start by saying this is one by far the best plasma center I have EVER donated. The facility is always clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Management is amazing. I felt so welcomed and comfortable from the screening booths to donating plasma. The center manager and employees deserve an award for their great customer service and time management. Though this facility as been short staffed lately the employees that are there do their best to get you in and out as soon as possible. The last time I visited this location they took too much of my blood. I was sick the rest of the day, and wasn't even able to go back to work. I initially left a good review for this place on google but after my experience today I will do my best never to return furthermore my good review was solicited by the manager (MO) for a Twix candy bar while I was donating. I was ridiculed loudly by the manager (MO) for standing and not wanting to sit near people coughing while in the lobby. I also overheard staff saying that the media was overreacting regarding COVID 19 and that the facility would never close no matter what the state and local government said; unconscionable, given that experts say we should all act as if we have the virus. This kind of frivolous movement by people who think they're healthy or don't care shows a callous disregard not just for those who are medically vulnerable but for our very health-care system itself. Never once did they clean a screening booth or the lobby after a donor was screened or left and because they were "under staffed" it seems as if they are throwing caution to the wind. Seems they care more about getting your plasma and profits then actually caring that this is the very kind of environment people are getting infected in. I initially went Wednesday 3/18/2020 but there were more than 10 people in the lobby and no way for me to sit 6 feet or more from anyone. This is a breeding ground for infection it's only a matter of time. Further more depending on the weight of the individual, the donation center will take 690mL to 880mL per donation. The 880mL bottles bring a price of anywhere from $300.00 to $1,700.00 when sold to the Pharmaceutical companies but they pay you on average $45 per donation. PROTEST THIS INCONSISTENCY. If no one donates they will be forced to pay more. And clean up the lobby, place donors 6ft apart when donating this virus isn't a joke!!! read more

I share Bianca's frustration with their INACCURATE equipment and profiling. I prepare for donations meticulously and am quite healthy only to be told lately that my protein count is low when it is NOT! The confirmation for this is the admission from one of the managers that the protein screen is faulty. Weight scales are ALSO inaccurate. And of course when going back for the actual donation, LONG faces are there to welcome you. read more

I've never donated blood or plasma until 2 months! I came in and they explained everything in detail where a non medical person could understand, any questions I asked about does it hurt, how big is the needle, why this anything they answered. I learned there's easy veins to stick, somewhat hard (yellow) and difficult thanks to the girls there. Sarah, Destiny, Jonathan ,Alysha and Danyelle are some of my favorites! They always make you laugh even when you have a needle in your arm and check to make sure you're okay every few minutes. It's about an hour out of your day but donating plasma helps with diabetes, burn patients, etc it's for a great cause and I couldn't be more happy with this place read more

I called ahead to see if I could transfer to the CARROLLTON, TX, location. I was told to just bring in my license, not my social security card. Upon arrival, Harrison was told when my last donations were. He booked an appointment 45 minutes out. Next, he asked for my ID. Then he asked for my SSN. It could not be a copy. This resulted in me going home and back again. Harrison wasted time and was inefficient. He did say he was sorry. read more

This is a great place to donate. The staff is extremely personable. Once you become a regular, they feel like friends and there's nothing fake about it. They remember you, ask how your family is doing, remember the things you share with them and are generally really pleasant people to be around, which is great as I'm sitting for 40 minutes or so during donation. You can even request certain phlebotomists to stick you (I have my favorites who just have a certain touch). Once you get on a regular schedule, you get to know other donors who donate at similar times and I find most of the donors to be just as friendly. The money is great but what you're doing to help folks by donating is even greater. I was never aware prior to donating exactly what plasma was used for, but do the research and you'll find it's quite amazing! read more

By far the WORST experience i have ever endured at a any Plasma donating Facility. If i could rate this with a zero i would. I work in the medical field myself so im familiar with labs and testing very well as this is my job. Our facility utilizes plasma to save lives daily. Donating Plasma is my way of doing my part and trying to make a small difference in a matter that's bigger than myself. My mother was on her death bed. So knowing that a donors plasma played a HUGE part in saving her life is why she is still here with me today makes me so proud to donate twice every week for the rest of my life if i can. So to experience horrible customer service and know first hand that the medical staff ( specifically the nurse on duty at the time of my initial visit who Goes by the name Precious and her supervisoror manager jason) is incapable of doing their job properly is very disturbing and down right a disgrace to those this company is here to help. My issue started when i arrived to the Carrollton Biomat center fully hydrated and fueld by my well balance meal. Like i said this is not my first time donating. I workout and Always drink a gallon of water a day. I even finished my gallon in the lobby. When The horrible nurse Precious requested a urine sample. I realised i needed more water as i couldnt provide a sample at that time. She directed me to their cold water fountain by the restrooms. The colder the better for me. Well so i thought. It took me drinking an additonal five maybe six cups of water from the fountain for me to finally be able to give my urine sample. Keep in mind i have now consumed at this point a full gallon of water that i have in my hand (empty) and atleast 5 additional cups of cold water from the facility. After providing my sample. I am called into a room and interrogated by the unqualified nurse and another member of her staff who did not speak so i do not have her name. I was questioned about mixing water in with my sample that i provided. I laughed at the question and answered No i did not mix water with my sample. the ignorant Nurse says "mam. There's water mixed in with your urine sample" lol. By this time im seriously laughing. My question to her is where else should my water be if not with my urine. I explained to her that the empty gallon of water jug that im holding is what i drink daily and that i also consumed about another 40 ounces of water in your lobby after i couldn't provide a urine sample. So my urine would naturally contain water as thats all i drink and been drinking for the last 20 minutes. What do you expect me to piss out? Koolaid? I requested to speak with a manager who i have now been informed name was jason. He advise theres nothing that can be done and that i will have to donate another day. Never once did anyone say i was banned from donating period. I rescheduled my donation today 4/16/18 and was told that i have been banned from donating as i drank to much water lolol sounds dumb right? Thats because the nurse and her manager/supervisor Jason are obviously lacking the common sense it takes to do their job.I decided to file a complaint with 1800 grifols.After being transferred by 3 reps i finaly spoke with a rep by the name of Vladimir. This call was very unprofessional. I have to ask the reps to provide their names.Half way through the call the line disconnects and he never calls back. I call the company back and ironically im speaking with the same rep Vladimir. he disconnects the call again after i requested a supervisor twice. He still never returns my call. This is by far the worst company to donate with or establishment who takes plasma donations. The reflection of horrible customer service reflects all the way from the customer service department at 1800 grifols down to the nurses and members of management in the center 099 for Carrollton. My company works with Biomat. I look forward to explaining to them why certain donations are being turned away. The staffs skill is far from acceptable. My written complaint is in the mail.
