I am a Donor with only $8.00 in my Bank Account....after paying Rent and Electricity. I failed the 4 Month Protein check and had to submit to another one....Don't know exactly when to expect the second as the first only took exactly 1 week from the day the FIRST one was taken, I have never failed a 4 Month Protein Check in the many years I have been going to to Octapharma. The Phone staff here in Dallas are ROBOTIC and therefore show NO Empathy toward ANYONE who depends on Donations for Important Expenses and don't offer to check with other Staff members UNLESS you ask .....SO FAR this 7-10 SO CALLED WAIT for Results has cost me $260.00 in Donations . The outside temp is near 90 degrees. I walked a small distance to get inside. Was told my temp was to high. I was like it hot outside give me a minute. I was deferred flat out told to drink water next time. Wth? The most annoying thing with this company if you change your day for any reason you locked in on those new days, even if they closed is the reason. This facility is very clean, staff are very nice and professional. However this facility is very understaffed. Only one person is always at the screening check-in which leads to unnecessary longer wait in a short line. It gets backed up in the donor area because it's usually only three staff members working the donor area which leaves you sitting there a long just to be stuck because they are off in other areas helping with the several donors that have finished at the same time. Needs more phlebotomist in donor area. read more

Just had the worst experience at this place. A phlebotomist ,Antonella, stuck me in my right arm and went in too deep so she pulls the needle completely out of my arm allowing blood to shoot everywhere then reinserts the same needle back into my arm. After getting no flow, she resticks me in my left arm and again went to deep causing a terrible burning sensation. When I explained this to the so called manager on duty the only option I was given was come back tomorow. Not they will look into the situation or anything. Just come back tomorrow. This place is absolutely a ridiculous waste of time. After 4 hours on my first visit, I still hadn't even began donating yet. At one point, I mentioned that I have an aversion to needles so I may get woozy for a minute or two, but then I'd be perfectly okay for the rest of it. It's just part of my anxiety . And I was basically told that I can't donate because I don't like needles. So I wasted four hours of my only day off on this absolutely ridiculous company that refuses to take my plasma because I don't like needles. read more

Been coming to Octapharma since October 2018. The facility is clean, workers clean beds after every donation. My phlebotomist today was Victoria. She was kind, great sticking, and she checked back with me and others just asking if we were ok. It really is the little things that make you stand out. The center itself is excellent. Fast, efficient, compassionate, pays well, etc. My problem with Octapharma is the payment service. Octapharma pays you through comdata. Comdata steals your money in a thousand different ways, coins at a time. It begins to add up rapidly. The main reason being that they charge a fee for declined transactions while providing a card that declines at most readers. But even when transactions are successful there are fees. You practically hemorrhage the money you literally sell a part of your self to obtain. I love the staff at octopharma but the third party they use to pay you is a den of thieves. As a result i have to give what would be a five star service a three star rating. read more

There is never enough staff here, so it ends up taking 2 hours+ every time you come. I wrote this same review on google reviews and they told me to contact management. Why do I have to contact management? Shouldn't you guys be doing that? I'm telling you that there is 1 staff member for ever 15 people that come in, and there are plenty of other plasma companies in the area that do it better and quicker. Don't waste your time here. They claim to have about a 40 minute donation period after initial visit. That's a joke! You have to answer the same asinine questions at a kiosk every visit. You have to wait to answer after the automated voice reads each word to you. And once you're done, the money goes onto a debit card. Normally I'm fine with that. Except in this case, they ding you whenever a PIN is required for $. 50. Then, when I decided to just transfer the balance to my bank account, it was $1.50. Can't wait until my new donor bonus money ends so I can find a better company. read more

This really isn't my favorite plasma donation center. I only come here as a last resort. My first choice is definitely BioMat in Carrollton off Josey. They are the nicest people with the best personalities. They actually care about their donors. If you haven't eaten in the last 4 hours they give you a hot pocket and Powerade so that your hematocrit won't be low. You also DONT have to ask them to change their gloves between donors like you do at Octapharma which is ridiculous af. You should never have to ask "healthcare professionals" not to touch you with dirty gloves. Then second most importantly is that it doesn't take them FOREVER to get to you. At BioMat you get in a chair and every time within a couple of minutes, there is somebody there to get you hooked up. None of this waiting 15-30+ minutes just to get punctured like you do at Octapharma. I've been donating for years at Octaphatma and I've waited some times even as long as 2 hours just to get a needle in my arm. I was so surprised and thoroughly impressed when I finally switched to BioMat. I could go on and on but basically all I'm saying is that BioMat does it right and Octapharma does it all wrong. read more

I have met so many people here it's hard to keep up with their names. I do know Crystal is very kind and personable. There is another lady there she is a little taller and also knows crystal as well. She and Crystal make the process easier. There is another lady she is had glasses and is an older women, she is very kind. We spoke about Turkish language and how countries around it combine the language. She is fast and attentive. If you don't have patience you would need to go during the day or ask the staff when their slow. I don't mind the wait because the job they do has to do with needles going inside your arm. You are doing it for a good cause so if you can't be patient choose a different time. read more

They pay $75, 50,50,50,75. Then 15/20/25 depending on your weight n 50. With $60 bonus if donate all 8 times in a month. But they are slow as hell. Like no sense of urgency at all. Just like 8 people walking around doing nothing like one person sticking. And if one worker encounters a problem everyone stops working. Not efficient at all. read more
