Although in the end it looks like I will not be buying a car through Cartelligent due to my circumstances, I am so very grateful to Alan Diaz (Branch Manager) for his assistance. I was so sceptical about this service at the start having been burned by car dealerships so many times over the years. My view of the entire auto industry was at rock bottom. Soooooo happy with Cartelligent! I recently went to a dealer to lease a new Lexus RX thinking that I could get the advertised special... yeah right. All they had available were upgraded RX's (not in my preferred color) that would have cost me 3x the down payment vs what I was expecting. We wanted a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. We'd done our research had a very specific list of options we wanted. Alan Diaz in the Orange County office found the exact match within 24 hours. Done. Then he calls back: "I made a mistake. This is a 2015 model. I should have seen that on the sticker and missed it. I apologize". The price was a few hundred bucks higher, and Alan got it negotiated down to where it was only about a hundred bucks more for us, and the total price was a number we could have never negotiated down to ourselves. The day the car arrived Alan calls me: "I have to apologize again. The car was damaged during transport from up north. We don't believe in doing body touch ups and don't want to accept it. I have found another one. It has a couple options you didn't request. We and the dealer will absorb the cost of those and your price is unchanged. Is that okay with you?" Of course it was. Dealing with a dealership totally kills the pleasure of getting a new car. A friend recommended a car broker and I tried him. But since the stocks of BMW X1 are very slim, he basically didn't want to do the work and stopped replying to my calls and emails. I found Cartelligent online and it was fantastic.
