    Pork BBQ nachos

The pork BBQ nachos were so good! The portion is huge and enough to share with the table. The service is always great. I would definitely recommend!

Charming little Rustic Hole in the wall out of your way place to go if your in the mood for a road trip! The inside charm is not what you would expect from the outdated historic outside! Great Burgers and fries fresh like in the old days! The Carsonville Cheese Burger fresh Ground Beef with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion & Mayo made your way W,M,or R w fresh cut Fries we shared a Large order and couldn't finish them and they stayed hot till the end! Don't be put off by the distance of the trip the food was good, the people friendly it an experience!

Full wings is what you get. 6 wings for $8.99 on Thursday wing night. The hot are really hot.

A group of us visited the Carsonville Hotel to try their wings. To my surprise, they serve the entire wing! I ordered 6 wings with hot sauce. The waitress said the hot was really hot, and she was right. I think these were the hottest "hot" wings I've had. It was my understanding that they served fresh cut fries. We were let down when regular fries came out. The fries needed salted too. That was really the only letdown in my opinion. I'd like to go back and try more from their menu (steaks and burgers).

Wife and I along with her cousins were passing through this area to attend a wedding at a nearby venue, we needed to spend the night some place not far from the venue and not expensive. Luckily wife's cousins found this little spot and it was a nice find. First let me tell you that this is not some fancy schmancy froufee froufee resort spa, it is clean but bare basics, which suited us just fine. Don't expect the Four Seasons here it is what it is and should be valued at that level. Booking and check in was a breeze all done over the Interwebs no need for a key just a code and whala the doors open like magic. Inside you will find at least in our two tiny rooms; a bed, one bedside night stand, a TV, a small micro wave and small fridge.... ohh and a chair. That's about it but I see that they have larger rooms and apartments complete with kitchenettes for those who are staying a while longer. This property only has 17 rooms and is privately owned and operated. As I mentioned before our rooms were very clean and the surrounding property appeared to be well maintained. They don't have a restaurant or anything like that but close by you can find plenty of places for a fast meal just get out and explore the area. It is a nice little spot for road weary travelers but I have a couple of well intended suggestions to make it a little better for the smaller rooms like ours at 103. One is the need for some sort of wall mounted shelf with hangers for clothing since there is no room for closet or armoire. Also a small table or at least a folding TV table that would help one settle in a little better and to accompany the microwave and fridge for a quick dine in meal. Also a folding luggage rack would make living out of a suitcase a little easier instead of having to operate on the floor. The bathroom had on a bar of soap nothing else but I travel well prepared for many situations. The water pressure was a little weak when needing to flush but not an major issue probably a quick fix by turning up the valve. You will hear road noise if facing the road but it is a road less traveled and not bad at all. You might have a noisy neighbor who smokes a lot out side but that can happen anywhere. The only major complaint I have and like I said I don't need a lot of gimmicks but I do need a nice firm mattress. Ours was not, it felt like we were laying on a overly soft marshmallow sinking to the middle down a deep hole. I woke up in the middle of the night with my back killing me. I had to use the firm pillows (they give you four two on each side) under my back just to get back to sleep. Wife likes a soft mattress but this was way too soft even for her. The next day her cousins also complained of the uber soft sinking to the floor mattress so it wasn't just me. So if management can address the mattress issues with rooms 102 and 103 I think all will be fine. So I give this nice little place a 3.75 out of 5 stars because of the mattress issue. A good night's comfortable rest is very important. So if you are ever up that way and need a stay that doesn't cost an arm and a leg I recommend it just be sure to put a pillow under your back and they'll keep a light on for you.

I have been a Marriott customer for over 20 years and although some full service Marriott's have features Fairfield does not offer, no hotel seems to compare to the areas I mentioned in recent memory. Stay here if you are looking for simple convenience, comfort, safety, and value. All the features a frequent traveler values exist in the Fairfield format. Average price per night was $400 (demand pricing - rooms normally run about $120) which in itself was fine given the limited options in the area. Cons: - Very dirty (elevators, the actual room, floors, hallways, carpet, etc.) - Room and entire place had a strange vinegar/chemical/odd smell - especially in the room. As for me, I was quoted the hiker rate of $55 but initially arrived and was quoted a higher rate as well. Worse, my "non-smoking" room reeked of smoke. Also, the other inhabitants appear to be extras from an early John Waters movie. The people in the room next to me appear to live here, smoke incessantly inside and out of their room, and have a hacking cough. The rooms are tiny and barely furnished (I have a desk and no chair and a bed, that's it). I guess the best I can say is that they seem sort of clean, but tattered and beat up. I am giving this place one star because the woman at the front desk is wonderful and has been sympathetic to all of us. Please treat her well. She is being put in a crappy spot by her manager.

This location is still offering cookies in the afternoon as well as the 24hr. coffee bar. Our room was cooled and clean upon arrival. There was an oversized refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available. Bathroom was clean with hand soap and body lotion on wall in pump containers. There were also pump containers in curtained shower of shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Water was hot and shower head was adjustable. I selected a room on the side of building which faced busy highway not knowing how the hotel was oriented. Because of the extra ridges on roadway I heard trucks going by almost all night.
