I expect this from a five star location, but not the Carsonville hotel. A table of five adults with two kids were seated shortly after we were taken care of. They had the same server as we did. We had placed our food order as we were going to share a steak tenderloin salad, and their buffalo chicken nachos. Nachos were lukewarm at best as well as the tenderloin on my salad. Once our server finally came back by we had to send the nachos back to be reheated and they really weren't all that great. Had to literally track down our server just to get a refill of a soda. Lousy service abs the food was subpar at best Won't be back. To add insult to injury the large party that was seated shortly after we were ordered their big jumbo wings and their orders were up in minutes while we were still waiting for ours.

Back in the day, Carsonville's hand-cut fries were renowned but our server admitted they were frozen these days--and we appreciated the honesty! On our visit, outdoor seating was open along with an open air bar. There's a great-looking front bar that was closed during our visit but looked great--hope I have a chance to check it out in cooler months. The rooms are so comfy and spotless. Thea hosts are amazing kind and thoughtful. You get so many free extras that is normally unheard of. On top of the yummiest breakfast you will ever eat, they give free desserts all day and soda,water and wine ! The views here are to die for. I loved all the animals I got to see the beautiful horses grazing and the precious sweet kittens. Truly this place exceeded all of my expectations they go above and beyond and all the workers show great pride in their work and it shows. Cons: - Very dirty (elevators, the actual room, floors, hallways, carpet, etc.) - Room and entire place had a strange vinegar/chemical/odd smell - especially in the room. I believe there is a very long curb not marked with emergency paint available. I did use Hilton app to check in about two hours before my arrival. Upon my arrival there was not an electronic key on my app. The young lady at front desk helped me out immediately giving me a couple physical cards. This location is still offering cookies in the afternoon as well as the 24hr. coffee bar. Our room was cooled and clean upon arrival. There was an oversized refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available. Bathroom was clean with hand soap and body lotion on wall in pump containers. There were also pump containers in curtained shower of shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Water was hot and shower head was adjustable. I selected a room on the side of building which faced busy highway not knowing how the hotel was oriented. Because of the extra ridges on roadway I heard trucks going by almost all night. I know better if in area again. My wife and I both felt the bed was a little firm. We prefer softer. Breakfast was a step up from other Hampton's we have stayed in. First, there was packages of honey at coffee bar 24/7 for my wife's tea. For breakfast there is a carafe of infused water with fruit, packages of good salsa for the omelet, cinnamon flavored waffle batter, and an upgraded pastry selection. We had to make several phone calls to get the codes to access the building and room. This was just the first of many problems we encountered. The rooms were nice, but the service was terrible. We paid for a hot breakfast every morning, which was advertised when we booked. This was not the case when we arrived. No hot breakfast at all. Just cold lunch meat,hard boiled eggs, toast if you wanted to fix it yourself, instant oatmeal in a packet, over ripped bananas, and strawberries. This is not the hot breakfast that we paid for. I contacted the management company that operates the B&B and was told they stopped the hot breakfast two weeks before we arrived. I ask why we weren't informed about this. I was told they couldn't notified everyone that had reservations, over four hundred. I told them we would like to have a partial refund because they didn't give us what was advertised, and we paid for. As of today, they still list a hot breakfast on most of the travel websites. They didn't offer any refund. They said to review the cancellation policy. I then said we would have cancelled our entire stay if we had known this before we left home. Still no offer to at least a partial refund. We had to go to a restaurant and get our breakfast every day, and that was an extra expense. As of today, after several back and forth emails, still no offer of any kind of refund. As far as the service part of our stay. We had to ask every day for clean towels, wouldn't take the dirty ones, or empty the trash during our entire stay. I told the management company this is not a good way to run a business. I don't think they care at all about how they treat the people that rent at this B&B. I would never book this place again. I hope people read this review and avoid this property.
