Use to be a good company 90's-mid 2010's .Stopped Caring about helping the day to day walk in's buying parts and hardware to support repairs and maintenance with there existing trailers.Drove from Ventura County to pickup a latch kit for a dump trailer rear doors. Once I arrived was told a ridiculous, corporate, structured answer telling me they would have to start an invoice which would have to be picked up and delivered across the street to the manufacturing facility to check if they had it and they would get back with me at a later time. they said he could take anywhere between a half to a full day....Ridiculous answer Ridiculous salesman answering the phone. They actually make a decent trailer but if you need trailer parts in a hurry this is the last place to come. read more

It's been a little over a year since purchasing my new custom built trailer from Bakersfield location to be exact ... Our salesman Kyle worded several things differently at the time of placing our order. We paid for specific things that we did not get. When we picked it up and questioned him about the additional things we ordered he said and I quote "you didn't pay for that" ... When we placed the order over the phone he quoted the extra prices for each item and we agreed upon the ones we "thought" we paid for. For example guard rails, and different type of ramp to be specific. A few other little things that are no big deal. He told us if we wanted those items we could leave the Trailer, they could redo it and we could pay extra. Well since we thought we already paid for it we opted out of leaving and paying for it a second time. Also since it was during Covid it took longer than normal to make I'd say about 12 weeks. So he told us it would be at least another four weeks if we want to make any changes. Wow so we went ahead and took it home as is, not exactly happy about that but got over it. Fast forward to a few months and the latch or I should say lock holding the trailer on to the hitch broke. While my husband was driving through the canyon the car trailer actually came loose. Had he not been towing a car at the time he might have went completely over the cliff. The weight on the trailer is what actually saved his life. Fast forward again to the lock being repaired, and moving on. Time goes on and the same thing happens repeat, etc. ok so I'm thinking this really isn't going to happen again right ... WRONG ... But this time I was driving the truck with the empty trailer attached. Since I do not tow trailers regularly myself I drive cautiously in the slow lane the posted speed limit for trucks with trailers 55 mph. Holy shit I'm driving downhill on the grapevine on a semi busy Sunday afternoon when the trailer completely comes off the hitch pulling the truck back and forth from one lane into the next. With God watching over me thankfully I was able to make it over to the shoulder safely. I sat shaken up, for what seemed like an eternity. I had no phone reception so I was unable to call for help. Luckily my husband was towing our camping trailer in front of me and saw what happened in his rearview mirror. It took him a while to get back to me as he had to park the camping trailer on the next exit off the freeway and back track to get me. He managed to get the trailer to lock enough and be able to tow it safely to the next exit off the freeway. The only thing that saved us all that day was the safety chain attaching the trailer to the truck. We will never know for sure what would have happened had it not been attached with the safety chain but I can assume the worst. It would have 100% went crashing the front of the semi truck behind me or possibly into another lane crashing into a passenger vehicle and killing someone ... wouldn't you think after 3 serious encounters they would stand by their work and warranty the damn lock ... even if the warranty is only a year or three this trailer damn near seriously injured several people on multiple occasions for this reason alone basically their poor customer service I feel as if they are just say F you to me read more

Update: The ineptitude of the parts department is impossible to overstate!! After my original post, they failed to ship our window the day that they said they would, because they didn't have enough staff to do it. So it was delayed Another week. Then I call my shop to see if they received the window and was told that for the Second Time they shipped the WRONG WINDOW!! So I got to do my favorite thing and call Ron in the shipping department for at least the 10th time, to be told that he can't replace the window. I asked why he bothered to even ship what he did as it was NOT AN EGRESS WINDOW which is required by law. Then this fool asked me to have my window SHIPPED TO HIM so he could have a glass guy in his town replace the glass and ship it back. I in no uncertain terms told him I would eat the broken glass before I sent anything to him. I can not put in to words how disappointed I am in the service we have received from this "Business". Do NOT do business with these incredibly inept people. I am now searching for a glass company that can do the job that Carson has been unable to do for SEVEN MONTHS!! Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life!!! My dealings with this company started in November of 2019. I own an older Carson Fun Runner. I had a window broken so I took it to a local Carson repair facility. Well today is May 29th, 2020 a FULL SIX MONTHS LATER, and this facility has still failed to get the proper window to my repair shop. Mind you this is the Only facility in California that can ship the window. I will not name any names but the Shipping Manager has admit that he is the issue. That he has only a 30% success rate shipping via common carrier and REFUSED to ship it outside of one of his trucks. I was Promised a week ago that it would go out two day shipping and again disappointed. I called yet again and was told that "They Didn't Have Enough People Around On Tuesday To Get It Shipped". Now I am down yet another weekend unable to use our trailer. Did I mention this started in NOVEMBER OF 2019. While very cordial, this company is simply INCOMPETENT!! If you have only a 30% success rate shipping windows, MAYBE YOU SHOULD LEARN HOW TO PACKAGE THEM BETTER!!! I Hate calling out businesses for bad practices. Waited six months before I posted, but after I read them the riot act a week ago and was PROMISED the window would be shipped on a specific day only to find out they didn't do it yet again, this company has worked Diligently to earn this 1 Star review. If I was allowed to give it Zero stars I would. Six months of excuses, wrong parts shipped and lies directly to me has earned them this review. Custom ordered a trailer, they told me 1 month but took 7 weeks. I picked it up 14 weeks after I ordered it and they we cool about it. Back light didn't work when I picked it up, wish they could of checked it before. Also wheels were white, not gray like when they showed me the trailer. Price was ok. read more

After my initial order was placed with Ron, I left a positive review for Carson Trailer. Unfortunately, they know how to put on a good "show" but their incompetence quickly surfaced. I placed my order in February for a dump trailer. I was told it would be completed in 6 to 8 weeks. 8 weeks later I got a call saying my trailer was ready. When I went to get it, they brought a flat trailer (they built the wrong kind of trailer). Due to them already having my deposit, I gave them another try and they promised to have my dump trailer completed by June 1st of 2021. That date came and went and when they finally told me that my trailer was complete I scheduled a pick up date. Hours before I was scheduled to pick up my trailer, I got a call saying they sold my trailer to someone else. It took several days to get my deposit back. This branch is a total joke, don't waste your time with them. read more

Terrible Service ! I bought a Trailer here back in January, Then it was stolen mid February. Called Carson Trailer spoke to Greg, Lisa and other members from this dealer about the title request they Have to send to the DMV in order for me to receive the title to the trailer. Gregs response was "idk, when i submitted it, but usually its always two weeks after purchase" then a Manager named Kevin said the same and DID NOT GIVE THE EXACT DATE OR PROOF ABOUT THEM SUBMITTING THIS REQUEST. Helpless. So obviously i called the DMV and asked for updates since carson trailer isn't doing shit for me. Even after i WASTED MY MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS SHITTY DEALER. and it is their OBLIGATION as a " DEALER" , "SALESPERSON", "MANAGER" . To make sure everything gets done! I should know, i run my own business! With that being said !! When i called the DMV and gave them the VIN # to the trailer , they said they had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on FILE for this Trailer! That no PAPERWORK HAD BEEN SUBMITTED & to CALL THE "DEALER" that sold me the trailer and ask what is going on, and why are they lying to me about this whole situation. I called the dealer, and now suddenly there is no manager or supervisor on site or in to help me at this very moment. If you order a small utility trailer and they tell you 3-5 weeks for delivery, expect 7-8 weeks. And do not expect to get an honest answer from them when you call for an update. read more
