Adding after comment, you wrote "so you knew your responsibilities and financial obligations after your vehicle has been impounded it is important so you are aware as the legal owner of the vehicle we are storing." So you might say "We have impounded your vehicle and we are asking that you..." Your Staff was rude and obnoxious and you should record your calls so that your Staff is trained. The person on the phone today was very rude. We made an appointment 2 days ago for a 12:30pm pick up and they were running behind. Finally at 1:30pm, the front desk lady or customer service representative canceled it when my wife asked a simple question if they were still on the way and we can be on time to deliver the car to the Benz dealership for our appointment with them. If I could give zero stars I would. We are having car problems and had to use my insurance to tow my car to a repair shop. The dispatch person that answered the phone was super rude. Basically told us that they know what they are doing and whatever they send will work. Once the driver showed up LATE. For some reason insurance cancelled the claim so we couldn't give a claim provide a claim number. We got on the phone and was trying to get a claim number for the driver. Instead of waiting the driver didn't want to wait so before my wife got back out the driver gets back in the truck and leaves doesn't even give us a chance. Carson City tow is the absolute worst place to have your vehicle towed. Boycott Carson City tow. If you have an insurance claim tow tell them anyone but Carson City tow. And to Carson City tow customers and customers insurance pay your bills and put food on your table. If you don't like the career you choose then just a suggestion FIND SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!! First of all, I have not used Carson City Towing. My review is solely based on a tow truck driver who was a jerk. It was Friday evening, and I was coming down Kingsbury Grade towards Gardnerville. The weather was just a little snotty but as we got further down the hill, it was fine. From the top of the Grade down, this tow truck driver was driving slow. I get it: it's a little snotty, so drive carefully. However, when you have 12 cars behind you, pull over. Not only is that the law, but it is also the courteous thing to do. This driver didn't pull over until we were all down off the mountain. At the bottom of the hill, he pulled off into the parking area for some reason. As I was pulling up to the four way stop, he decided it was his turn to go and pulled right in front of me to get to the four way stop before me. I had to slam on my brakes. He turned left and went towards Carson City. Thankfully I didn't have to follow him any more, but this is when I saw the Carson City Towing sign on the side of the truck. Like I said, I understand driving cautiously, especially with a load on the truck. There are however, plenty of places he could have pulled off to the let the 12 cars behind him pass by. read more

I called YOU, and you said, 'we called, and no one answered." I gave the correct number, no one called me, if you had trouble finding me. I had my phone in my hand the whole time. You then started blaming Pep boys and said, "this is the world of "Artificial Intelligence" and we the provider are not given "ANY INFORMATION." Why even be in business with excuses like that? I have dealt with this company twice. On May 8, 2018, I sold my totaled Toyota Sienna to Copart in Reno, and they arranged for Carson City Towing (Carson City office) to pick up my car and give me the check. Then today, Tuesday, April 16, 2019, I went to this office trying to find another company, Quick Space, which listed the address where Carson City Towing was. The kind receptionist in the office said to try a little bit to the east on US Route 50. (I ended up calling Quick Space, and they admitted that their Carson City facility was not actually a full-service facility like their website said, but they only stored their trailers there; they were actually in Sparks). I was happy with my experience with Carson City Towing both times. The tow truck did come a few hours later than promised to pick up my totaled car, but they explained they had to drive to Copart in Reno first to get more checks. That was fine; I only wish they had kept me in the loop about this when they knew they were going to be late, rather than leave me wondering. To their credit, they did call right before the driver was coming, albeit a few hours late. I had to call them before though to find out what was going on. When the tow truck driver got here, he was super professional and friendly. He handed me the check with the machine pre-printed amount I was promised, and I transferred over the title. He was polite and efficiently got the car on the flatbed. He had blocked some people trying to get in and out, but he quickly finished the job and moved out of the way. And today when I went to their office, it was nice. The parking lot was clean and had enough customer parking. The building was new and modern. The woman was behind a glass partition, like at the bank, and there were a few customer chairs in the office. There was also a new bench outside. The decor included an old gas pump, fully restored, and an old oil can lamp. The banner outside said they had won First Place for Best Towing Company for Carson City in 2014 in the Readers Choice Awards for the Nevada Appeal. read more

Our company called for a tow service, they told us an hour, 3 hours go by and nothing, not even a call. I call the tow office the woman that answered the phone was the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever talked too. This person would not allow me to talk, walked right over everything I said. I was being as polite as I could. This person said the tow truck driver called me 3 times, which is odd since my phone never rang in 3 hours. I asked for another tow truck, this person said I do not want to argue, I said ma'am I am not arguing I just want another tow to our company truck. On Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 at about 3 pm, after I made a safe lane-change into the middle lane of I-580 south from I-80 in heavy traffic (due to the time of day and an active accident scene about a mile southward) one of this company's moron-maniac drivers ran up on me very close. He was about only 5-10 feet behind me in a heavy tow-truck (Kenworth, truck number 16) for an unnecessary amount of time. I understand a little too close following but this was the work of a complete fool. The unsafe distance behind me, the length of time he was there, and the fact that there was very heavy traffic ahead that was slowing down abruptly combined to create a very unsafe and unsettling situation. I called the company and spoke with a lady named Alexis (or something like that) to let them know that their driver is acting with wanton disregard for public safety. While she said she is the office manager I got the impression that she was blowing me off. I tried to find a direct way to contact the owner, Mr. Christopher Holland, but found none. He does a good job of staying out of touch so that he doesn't have to deal with this type of problem (even though he a vice president at the Nevada State Towing Association). So, there is no way to be sure if they correct the behavior of the dip-wad behind the wheel of that huge tow truck. I guess I'll just watch the news to see if he smokes somebody someday. :( Follow-up: OK; to the comment by the company: Thank you for your response. Our 34 foot diesel motorhome broke down in Truckee at a campsite. Rob with Carson City Towing towed our motorhome to a repair shop in Reno. We arrived without a scratch. Rob took his time to hook the motorhome up correctly so we would not get any damage. And then after all of that he was nice enough to drop us off at a hotel. I understand he's there to make money, but he wouldn't allow my vehicle to be moved to a shop on a Friday at 2:30pm because he wanted to keep my vehicle there over the weekend so he could charge my auto insurance company for 3 days. I took a trip to Tahoe with my 3 kids before the big storm hit at the end of January. We intended to leave the kingsbury grade area the day the storm broke but unfortunately my poor SUV could not get up kingsbury grade back down into the Ca side of Tahoe. I am inexperienced with snow and I thought chains would have helped. LESSON LEARNED! I called MULTIPLE tow companies and no one would come due to the inclement weather. I started to panic as I was alone with my 3 kids and we had NO WHERE to go, no food, and no where to stay. We sat at Heavenly's Boulder lodge for hours. I reached out to my insurance carrier and they called Cason City Towing. They accepted the job right away. I called the tow company to touch base myself and the person who answered the phone was so sweet and assured me they would help me and my boys to safety! It took a couple hours for them to get there which was understandable. They delivered my car to me with a smile. My truck was towed 4 miles in Dayton 01-19-2022. Called and arranged a tow. Never given an estimate of cost. after an hour I called back and asked eta . was told driver would call. Didn't happen. Finally two hours after initial call , tow truck showed up. he was professional and courteous. When we dropped my truck off I gave him my cc . I was never told the cost to tow FOUR miles. This morning on Hwy 395, near Topaz Lake, we blew a bearing in our boat trailer tire. After working with our insurance company for six hours, they recommended we just find a tow truck and pay for it ourselves and get reimbursed. The first company we called was Carson City towing. The young lady that answered the phone was very polite, responsive and understanding of our plight. She said that the driver should be able to meet us within an hour, he did get there in about an hour and 15 minutes, which however that is still better than whatever my insurance company was trying to do! A young man name Colby showed up, knew exactly how to load our boat onto the flatbed, tied it down nice and tight so we didn't have to worry about it falling off. He met us at Les Schwab in Gardnerville Nevada where we left it to be repaired. If you find yourself in a situation where you need towing services, I highly recommend Carson City Towing!!! I would like to start this by saying thank you to the owner of this company for lowering the fee to get my car out because as his associate communicated to us he told her "It's a POS, I don't want it". The experience I had at their location in Reno was by far my be of the worst encounters I have had. My car was stolen and ended up at this location, I had never received a call from the police so my car sat here for about a week racking up fees.(This isn't the tow company's fault) I finally received a letter in the mail from RPD and called this company to find out information on getting my car back. Shocked by the price, I began crying and told the woman in the office I would call her back. My step-father had called shortly after I hung up since I was too upset to focus. Apparently he made her angry by asking questions. In her words "He just wouldn't shut up!" My boyfriend, his father and myself went down to the office to speak in person and were confronted with a very hostile and rude woman behind the desk. My boyfriends father asked simple standards questions about what options we had etc. only to be met with her yelling at him. I was silent with tears running down my face and she looked at me and yelled at me to "Stop crying, if you want to make it to age 21, you'll stop crying!" She then began to talk badly about me to her drivers as they walked in because I told her I didn't have full coverage insurance because I couldn't afford it. She did this IN FRONT OF ME as I was sitting at her desk. Please note, we had not once raised our voice to this woman. I feel like all to often we only hear the negative about people and businesses and today I want to take the moment to actually speak the truth for a truly amazing company. I used my roadside assistance and they dispatched Carson City towing. I was told that I would be waiting for over an hour and 45 minutes. Much to my pleasure the amazing company dispatched a truck and they were there within 20 minutes. The driver, Scotty, was not only one of the most professional and polite drivers I had ever spoken with. This amazing man not only went above the call of duty but he truly made the time spent with him comforting. Instead of just towing my car he spent an hour, if not more, helping me figure out what the problem was. It turned out to be a blown fuse mixed with a bad ground wire. This gentleman fixed the problem and even offered to follow me to the auto parts store and install the fuse for me then! This man made a very stressful situation completely relaxing and put me at ease! AAA sent a flatbed to pick up my car. That didn't work as they could not get the emergency brake off. They said to call the AAA number and ask for a dolly tow. After being given a runaround with AAA for four hours (we can't find anyone who has a dolly tow available) they finally told me to find my own tow (I pay almost $300/yr for this????) and fill out a form to mail in for reimbursement. So I called Carson City tow. The guy says "sure, no problem, we can do that. Be there in an hour or so." Robbie has the needed equipment and gets my car to the shop with no problems.
