Just about everything I've bought is misrepresented or just junk! Broken piston blown head gasket heads were not torqued!

Lightning auctions provides weekly local auctions, curating items from multiple estate sales or…read moresellers. Items up for sale range from collectibles, to small appliances, art, serving ware, furniture, jewelry, and more. What I like about this auction is that you can preview what's for sale online on Thursday night, in-person on Fridays, and then the auction closes (soft close, so no last-minute sniping) on Sunday. Fast and straightforward, with the benefit of not having to rely on photos only, and no shipping fees since it's local. Condition of items does vary, so you need to review carefully before bidding (everything sold as-is), and check carefully when collecting your won items. I've seen broken things or things you'd find at a garage sale mixed with really expensive items. Items are laid out nicely in a spacious room, and staff are helpful if you have questions. Definitely something fun to check out but make sure to do your due diligence. Tip: closed M-W 12-12:30 for lunch

They really need to improve. I been shopping here for many years and since Greg left it is just not…read morethe same. He used to have nice things and the photos would tell the story. It is highly important to give the bidder the size of the item. Either show the size with a tape measure or list the actual size. I am not happy when the photo shows a large item but when I get receive it the size is smaller. The quality of the offerings are not as good and many times not worth the first bid of $15 plus all the fees that go on top. I have bought about 7 vehicles from this auction house over the years and all were good except one that was a total loss (they refunded). Now they have reserves on almost all the vehicles and you really don't know where the top limit will be. I used to buy lots of furniture and art and now there is a lot less furniture and very little that is good quality. I got many in my family bidding here and they still are doing just that. I hope things will improve enough so that I find good items at a fair price.

I did get a few cars here and out of that one was a not so good so I turned around and placed it back on the auction for a fee, I did learn to take my OBD2 tester with me to run the codes on the other two I got, truly a learning experience. I did hear about some bad deals made here but I can say I lucked out on those situations.

Then we pull out of the driveway and it wouldn't shift and wouldn't go faster than 20mph. This car was junk. I feel completely taken. I get it's an auction but my god this car belongs in a dumpster and instead it's sitting at a shop in Carson cause there is no way it would have made it home to reno. Do yourself a favor and keep it moving. I've bought cars at auctions in California and Oregon and even here in reno and have never bought such a pile. 1 star for being completely dishonest. Anyone with half a Brain would have gotten in that car and took it out of the driveway would have noticed something seriously wrong. *Update 11/19/17 After 2500 bucks to Christensen automotive in carson and another 800 bucks to replace the transmission the car still won't pass smog and I'm told the cat is bad and needs replaced.. car still doesn't run.. Been sitting in my drive way... stay away from these con artist! The cars here are not the deal your looking for.
