Doug is the kindest man in the business. We love him and always enjoy visiting him. The retail space is limited but the selection is vast. I have a vintage spatula that I purchased from Doug probably 22 years ago. I use that spatula everyday and everyday I am reminded of him. read more

We are pickers that love the search for a treasure. We probably drove by this place a hundred times and always said, "We need to stop and check it out." Well we finally did. It is a small brick building with lots of old wagon wheels and other yard art on the outside. You enter into the bottom floor. I wish we had taken pictures of the inside, but it was like a small pickers paradise with all kinds of old things stacked all over the place. You need to pick through stuff to find antique treasures. There is not much furniture but we did find and old claw foot three legged stool. Doug was a lot of help and willing to deal. They only take cash. We can't wait to keep checking back to see what other treasures he has and will take my in-laws here when they visit in a few weeks since they love the hunt for a treasure like we do. read more

This place is wonderful! It's been in business for 44 years, and Doug is just the nicest guy to talk to and deal with. He offers fair prices selling and buying, and the place is a treasure trove of ever-changing goodies. You can seriously spend hours here digging and finding treasures all around you. And if you need anything unusual like feet for a clawfoot tub, he probably has it! (Or even a tub for that matter!) I've found so many amazing things here over the years. It's definitely a must see if you're in Reno and you're into antiquing. read more

Wow I just love shops like this! I spent 45 mins and only moved through about 15 feet of floor space. Like other reviewers said it's a bit of a mess but that is the exact reason it's so interesting to spent a little time here, and, why my wife had to drag me outa there. I like and respect Doug who is great to talk with and who I found out spent the late sixties in VN. He's a great American and I love his shop. I shall return! read more

There is a lot of strange, interesting stuff here, but there are a few problems that keep this antique shop down. First off, there is absolutely no organization and everything is just thrown around under piles of dirt and dust. For some this is a positive because then it might become a good place to find hidden bargains, but most of the stuff is overpriced anyway. Second, the store is not that big and looks like it could collapse at any time. I guess it's an alright place to walk through if you are passing by, however, don't expect to walk out with much. read more

I'm a 4th generation local, who loves to go here and find old tools. This place reminds me of the old days, when these type of old guys, were in every neighborhood. You know, the guys who could fix "anything" and everyone knew them/went to them for repairs. These guys are the last of a dying breed. A paradise for old tool nuts and pickers!! read more

If you like rambling through just amazing hordes of oddball goods, here is the place for you! It's like going through an old barnyard full of Victorian goodies. I gave the place 4 stars because getting through the house can be difficult, and there is no such thing as proper displays, but you can bargain and probably get seriously good prices.
