I am giving the Dayton office 3 stars for now. I absolutely love my son's dentist--he is wonderful and provides excellent care. Unfortunately, the customer service experience has been extremely disappointing. I was charged twice for my son's visit. After I paid and provided proof of payment from my previous visit, I was told the billing department would be contacted to resolve the issue. Since then, I have sent eight follow-up requests to customer service and have not received a single response since the beginning of April. It is very frustrating that communication and support seem to end once the patient's appointment is over. I truly hope this office improves its customer service and billing follow-up process, because the quality of dental care itself has been great. read more

We brought my daughter here for a cavity she had on her Molar. The Dr was very friendly and thorough. My daughter wasn't scared, and when she had to have a procedure, they made sure she wasn't in any pain! They are very friendly starting from the front office all the way to the back office. I have been with then for many years but have seen how service and customer service has declined and shoved under the front mat. I have 3 kids and they are usually seen at the same time. They have always scheduled the two at a time and one in an earlier time slot but the day of the appointment they all went in at the same time. We would arrive about 15 minutes prior to the latest appointment no issues. They have now decided this is no longer the case. I showed up as usually and they just told me the kids could not be seen because it was too late. Say what? They were scheduled for their latest appointment at 4:30pm, same time as always. No they did not say that when I confirmed their appointments and no they did not call prior to me showing up to say anything. I find it very rude that said nothing until I was there. I took time off work to take them for them to just say no. How disrespectful of people's time! Prior to that, they had cancelled another appointment and rescheduled. When I took the kids in, they sat them down as usual but only my oldest got her teeth's cleaned. The other two they just literally checked but did not give a cleaning or apply sealants at all. When asked about it, they said they were not due for it. Why schedule them them? Not only that but insurance's was billed for the whole shabang! I will not be coming back and defined not recommending anyone there anymore. read more

I have gone to them for years and they are such good people all around!! I have had small and big dental problems with my kids and they come through and are absolutely wonderful!! I called and when they didn't have any available they were quick to call when there is a cancellation! Best service ever and my children are very comfortable with the dentists and assistants! They are always super helpful and friendly and would recommend them to any one that has children. Truly the best in town! read more

My 7 year old grandson had a lot of work that needed to be done. Between Dr John, Dr Horgan and Alicia, he is now at home resting and his mouth is healthy again. Dr Horgan is a wonderful Anesthesiologist. It feels scary to put your child under general anesthesia but I always felt that my grandson was in great hands. Dr John is so wonderful. Taking time to explain to me what was needed and consulting with me in his treatment. Alicia is very sweet. She is great with kids and has a great attitude. There are 2 pediatric dentist offices in the Minden/Gardnerville area and I do not mind the drive to Carson to take my 2 children to. I was referred to Carson City Pediatric by a co worker and was scared to try a new office because the last two were not pleasant. From the first phone call with scheduling to checking in the first time to meeting the dental assistant and to meet Dr. John, this is a successful business that provides excellent care as well as customer service. The care team here is amazing, professional, knowledgeable, kind. My babes see Dr. John and he always greets us with a smile and educates me on what he will be doing as well as if there are problems. So thankful to have a compassionate and kind dentist office to bring my kids to! My son had to have emergency dental work done out of state and it was a horrible experience, it left my son terrified of the dentist. All four of my kids come to Carson City Pediatrics and the doctors and staff are wonderful!! My kids love going to the dentist because they are kind and make them feel comfortable. The office staff makes scheduling easy. Dr. John has done some work on my kids and he is fantastic with them. My poor little girl has had to had too much done at a young age. She is now petrified of getting any work done at all. Dr. John was so amazing. He made her feel comfortable and at ease. She got a baby tooth pulled and a crown and was so good for the entire thing. When we first came into the office she was scared and crying that she wanted to go home. By the end of it she said she wasn't scared to go to the dentist anymore I recommend this place to anyone. I wish they did adult work too! read more

We found Dr. Olson after we moved back to the area and were looking for a new pediatric dentist, and I'm SO glad we did. The entire office is very friendly and organized. They have a $49 exam that includes full x-rays, cleaning and an exam. The dental assistants are great and try to make the kids as comfortable as possible. Dr. Olson is friendly and explains what he's doing, his findings (as he's perusing your child's teeth) and what he thinks the treatment plan should be. We had two visits, the first one was timely, the second one we waited for a very long time. We canceled an appointment at least 30 days prior to the appointment and were billed an $80.00 "Broken Appointment" fee. We will find a better dentist. read more

I had an appointment for my son at noon, was running a little behind so I called and said I would be a few minutes late. I showed up at 12:09 and was told that I had to reschedule because the doctor was in a meeting. I drove from the far side of Dayton and was confused about how Dr. Would be in a meeting already if he had an appointment to fix my son's cavity. The woman at the desk, Angela, was very rude and I decided not to reschedule as I would not like to deal with them again. read more

Dr. Olson and his staff are friendly and did great work. They treated all 3 of my girls with patience and grace, especially my oldest who has a tremendous fear of the dentist. They walked her through every step and even got her teeth fully clean. The in house insurance is also great for self-employed families. We will be going back and telling friends to go too! read more

I have 2 young kids that needed to start seeing a dentist, so like I always do I wanted to check out a few dentist to see which one me and my kids felt more comfortable with. First I went to meet Dr. Gray and his staff. I got there the front girls were super nice, they were excited about giving me a tour of the office and I met Dr. Gray and the girls in the back. Everybody was real friendly. So far Gray was at the top of my list. Than I went to Carson city pediatric dentistry. I walked in and saw the girl at the front desk she did not make me feel comfortable at all. I asked her if we could meet the doctor and the staff, she said we don't really do that and I thought to myself why, what do they have to hide in the back. I told her they let me do it at Dr. Grays office. She commented well thats how they do it at Grays office. She said we are too busy today I will schedule you to come in next week. I said " Don't bother I've already decided who my kids dentist is". The whole time I felt like I was bothering her. I have friends that told me not to bother with them and just go to Dr. Gray they have the friendliest office staff. All I can say is I hope that unfreindly gal doesnt always treat potential patients like this...NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS!! read more
