My sister in law and I going to Mizner park for a museum visit and we drove right by Carrot Express. It was trhe perfect destination for lunch as we wanted lunch but not a major sit down place as we were later than we thought. I learned about Carrot Express from a Yelp event and I knew it was perfect for her. We both had 1/2 Tuna on a Ciabatta roll and soup. I loved the Gaspacho. It was light and perfectly made, fesh veggies and the proper amount of vinegar. I generally do not eat tuna salad in restaurants because they use chunk white tuna. Carrot Express is fresh and white tuna as was surprisingly excellent. The addition of avocado and a small amount of alfalfa sprouts waas different and tasty.,tomato with tuna is always lovely. Sister in law felt the soup was tasty and she also agreed the tuna tuna was excellent. As a first time customer my sister in law was given a piece of carrot cake. We shared and completely loved it. Large, clean space. Interesting sounding menu. I had a chicken goddess sandwich which was basically a fried chicken sandwich. It comes with a small salad but I upgraded to sweet potato fries. Sandwich was good, although definitely not worth $20. Fries upgrade was $2. They were good but also not sure that was worth the price. Ordered a smoothie. I asked if they were frozen (yes, I'm aware they should be but not everywhere makes them frozen, so I asked). Girl at counter stared at me for a moment, gave me a super-condescending smile and said "It's a smoothie, smoothies are frozen". Just a suggestion for the future...if a customer asks you a question, answer it nicely. Even if you think it's a stupid question, don't make the customer feel stupid. During a meeting in east Boca Raton, the company ordered lunch as take-out from Carrot Express down the street. This location is influenced by several businesses in Mizner Park. The concept is very similar to Just Salads where you decide what healthy toppings go into your bowl. The chicken, kale and nuts bowl was tasty and not super filling. OH my gosh why did we wait so long to try Carrot Express! Stopped in for late lunch. The place had a very inviting/calming feeling. Lots of white spaces with green plants and soft woods tones. Really very nice for essentially fast food place....but so much more. They have a wide selection of breakfast, lunch, smoothies, cakes/cookies. As we looked over the menu it was clear this place was not typical in the selection of choices. It just felt like high quality and we haven't even eaten anything :-) We tried the Greek salad with Chicken. This was classic and simple and full of flavor. The chicken was grilled to perfection and in the middle of the plate was a large triangle piece of good quality feta. This salad was amazing! The Liv was also incredible tasty. Warn wrap with chicken, avocado, quinoa, kale, jack cheese and this incredible basil pesto, YUM. Finally, we got the Poke wrap with ahi. This was for our daughter and she said it was AMAZING. It certainly looked amazing. Funny thing, we loved it so much.....we went back the next day to grab another wrap. The Legal is their most popular wrap and I understand why, it's simply delicious. I've swung by here a few times. The parking is kind of confusing as most slots are designated for other businesses but I still usually find one that's unlabeled. The service is good and the food comes out fairly quickly. The entrees are hit or miss and are all on the pricy side. Here's what I've tried Liv wrap - Grilled chicken breast, avocado, quinoa, kale, jack cheese & basil pesto. This is what I tried on my first visit. I love the ingredients but unfortunately, it is just okay. It honestly didn't have much flavor and the chicken was dry. I remember I had asked the cashier for some suggestions and the first thing she suggested were the burgers but I still went with this.. That's why I gave them another try a few days later. This wrap is a 3/5 ($12.95) Turkey burger - Ground turkey burger topped with arugula, avocado, tomato, red onion, mustard aioli on a toasted multigrain bun. This was for my second visit and it temporarily redeemed them. It may look like the nasty patty from sponge bob, but it's anything but. This is a DELICIOUS burger. It's also filling. It comes with a side, I got their tostones which are good and fresh. Only downside is it's a little pricey. 5/5 ($15.95) Chicken goddess - Pan seared panko-crusted chicken breast, topped with cilantro lime coleslaw & tomato on a toasted multigrain bun. This was my third visit and this solidified the fact that I won't be exploring any more of their menu. The "chicken breast" was legit a slice of deli meat that was breaded. It was so thin, it felt like a joke. The audacity to charge top dollar for that! It didn't have much flavor either, but it might have been good had it been an actual chicken breast. 1/5 ($15.95) I don't know. I don't think I'll come back here. I feel like ordering here is like the luck of the draw.. you MIGHT get something good but you'll probably get something small and overpriced. That chicken goddess left a really bad taste in my mouth. I loved it sooooo much in Miami, and was so excited when I saw it opened up right near my apartment in Boca! I ordered my absolute favorite - the Liv Wrap, which is a delicious combination of kale, avocado, quinoa, chicken, and cheese. It's served with this green pesto sauce that is literally TO DIE FOR. Like I could drink this sauce by itself. And the wrap is SO filling, but never makes you feel bloated or gross after. They have other yummy wraps, salads, and plates to eat as well! Thanks to a recent Yelp Elite Event, I had the opportunity to try a juice, entrée and dessert. I found the Green Dream smoothie to be light in sweetness, very tart, similar to a green apple blended down to a juice, oddly foamy, yet extremely refreshing. As for the entrée, La Bomba Wrap was toasted warm, filled with fluffy quinoa, meaty kale, fresh eggplant and falafel. Grateful for the cilantro lime sauce it is served with, as the meal itself could be more seasoned. In addition, also ordered the vegan Picadillo Bowl, served with rice, fresh avocado, beyond meat with light salty flavor, straight-forward black beans and bright plantains. I selected the chocolate chip cookie over the dense chocolate cookie option as all other desserts (cakes) are not vegan. All in all, it's a nice option for food that is not drenched in oils, salts and sugars, unlike many other fast-casual selections in the area. I find their prices to be a touch on the high-end, placed for East Boca. Selfishly would love to see more seasonings used to create more dynamic food. First of all... You need a location in West Palm Beach! I found you on Instagram and kept this location on my Yelp folder forever. Finally, coming back from Miami, I made it a point to drive out of the way just to eat here. Between all the amazing pictures people have taken on social media, I decided on the poke bowl. This amazing creation that they put in front of me didn't disappoint. I was incomplete heaven with the tuna on top mixed with all the goodness. I killed that bowl, didn't help that I haven't eaten all day. For this meal, I would have waited all day for it.
