Great Talavera selection! I got just what I needed for my fence.

I loved the selection of talavera here! I definitely saw some animals done in this style that I had never seen before. The owner who rang me up and her son who greeted me were both very nice.

Looking for something unique, cool or even Rad, check out Carrillo Pottery. It's more than a pottery shop. You can pick up interesting artifacts from around the world or choose an item from one of the local artisans. Joey and his sons were super helpful with us today and Joey enthusiastically assisted us in putting together a potter, basin and stand that fit our needs. Thanks Joey, it was fun meeting with you today!!

Best Pots in town! About 2 months ago...we were waiting to be seated across the way at LTH and since I needed to purchase some small plant pots, I thought I would take the wait time here and support small business. Pleasant experience, nice guy talking about the offerings and other pleasantries. He pointed me to what I was looking for... ended up purchasing other decorative pots along with a cute ceramic CAT pot for a small succulent I already had at home. Both owners were helpful and friendly! The shop is cute and as you walk around there is something cool or unique to discover! The prices were fair and was told some of their pots come from different regions such as Germany where I picked up a nice solid dark purple pot with attached dish tray. Look forward to returning!

What a great addition to Oceanside when it comes to family businesses. The address is wrong on here though as it should be 309 S. Coast Hwy, Oceanside, CA 92054. Came in yesterday as I've been meaning to stop by knowing there would be at least something worth purchasing. I can be picky and don't always buy on the spot but what is not to love here. The abundance of pieces to choose from really made this 1st trip worth it - especially since I haven't traveled to Mexico in 20yrs. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the owners son and his sweet dog. I felt welcomed and right at home as "Tait" occasionally came around to chat about the items his parents acquired for the shop. The abundance of great finds Carrillo pottery offers could honestly make this shop a one stop shop depending from one person to another. And I will add, for those curious and have yet to make the trip, to not assume your only find here will be pots for plants as there is lawn/indoor decor, seating, tables, and even items for your kitchen and bath all wrapped up for a perfect shopping experience. I ended up leaving with some great finds that in my opinion were worth the price tag. Great service, friendly faces, and quality items! I will definitely be a repeat customer. Welcome to Oceanside!!

Family business with very personal service - one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had; I bought 58 succulents and 11 incredible pots for under $700! When I arrived, Joseph the owner had no idea how much I was looking to spend... I honestly didn't expect to find so much in one place (after shopping all over North County). Despite not knowing how much I was looking to buy, Joseph had his assistant, Techa, come with me as I shopped for pots. I'm a perfectionist and usually like to shop alone, taking my time, but Techa was very funny and sweet so I enjoyed his help a lot - I never felt like he was waiting around for me. Every time I found a pot that I liked, Techa cleaned it off so I could see it better, then he carried it to the front (Joseph had already told me there was no obligation to purchase anything I'd chosen, in case I changed my mind). This place is huge and has so many pots, so it was very helpful to have them kept together for me, and I never had to lift a single piece of pottery... Contrast that with all the other places I've been to, where I had to load the carts (and sometimes my trunk) myself. In addition to the same pots you'll find everywhere else, they have very unique, handmade pottery from all over the world, and the prices are ridiculous! I don't like a lot of the "standard fare" when it comes to pottery, so I was a very happy shopper... Joseph's dad makes part of their selection, so you can't get these prices just anywhere. I'm so very happy I found Carrillo Pottery... They will be moving at some point, so be sure to confirm their location before going. Thank you, Joseph and Techa!

    Medium size chiminea.

Stopped by Carrillo Pottery a few weeks ago looking for a chiminea. They were expecting a shipment and asked for my contact info. This week I hit a call so went over today. The service was fantastic. No pressure at all. I roamed around and decided to get one now rather than wait for the next shipment. I was given great information on how much wood or duraflame to use and how to care for it. He told me before I had a chance to ask. Great pottery and great service!

On top of that sergio is very knowledgeable with the plants, he really knows his things, from cat/pet safety to proper plant environment. Hes like the doctor of plantology. there is also free teaching lesson for the aftercare of plants. Highly recommended. Definitely be back for more. Hope they have the cast iron plant next time!

A tiny but well-curated store. I wasn't going to post, but I've had my plant for over a month now…read moreand it is by far, one of the healthiest plants I've ever bought. I came in on a whim, looking for a swiss cheese plant, and the guy working enthusiastically showed me several different sizes. I knew I wanted something small, and he had exactly what I'd hoped to find. There's a lot going on in this little space; every plant I saw was absolutely gorgeous. When I went to pay, he gave me a bunch of tips on how to care for it, and was untangling leaves while he spoke to me. I could tell he loves what he does! Overall, it was a bit pricey, but I do like supporting small businesses and I am pleased with my purchase. I will definitely return. Pros: - friendly, informative customer service - healthy plants - gorgeous ambience Cons: - parking not great - a bit pricey - not a nursery or garden anymore; just a shop
