Despite this, they refused to provide a quote over the phone and required a service visit with a $153 diagnostic fee. The technician arrived and, within about five minutes, confirmed that the latch was broken -- exactly what had already been documented beforehand. I was then told the part would need to be ordered and that it would take another week, requiring a second visit. No meaningful diagnostic work was done, and for such a common issue, the technician did not arrive with the part. I was quoted $500 for the repair, which I found unreasonable given the simplicity of the issue and the lack of value provided during the visit. I requested a refund of the diagnostic fee and was refused. After I initially posted a review elsewhere, the company publicly stated they would offer a refund, then later changed that response and denied the refund. I retained a screenshot of the original response. I'm sharing this factual experience so other consumers understand the fees and policies before scheduling service.

I've been very happy with Carriage Cleaners at West Midtown Center. I've been four times so far, in…read moreAugust and September 2025, and have been quite pleased with both the dry cleaning and alterations services. The Yelp and Google reviews for this place haven't been great. I think that's mainly because of the previous staff. About 14-15 months ago, a man by the name of Sang took over this place. He's apparently turned this place around, with business up 40% since he took over. Sang's brother owns the business. I was told the lady that worked here before wasn't very good and got kicked out. I went to Metro Cleaners at Metropolis in Midtown first over this place because of the reviews. However, after just an OK experience at Metro Cleaners, I decided to roll the dice and try this place. I'm glad I did. For my wife and me, this will be our go-to dry cleaner for the foreseeable future. It reminds us of our old dry cleaner in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Perfect Image Cleaners, because of the cleanliness and professionalism: https://www.yelp.com/biz/perfect-image-cleaners-chapel-hill (I rated Perfect Image Cleaners five stars as well.) There are several "Carriage Cleaners" locations around town. Sang keeps a neat and tidy shop at 1289 Northside Dr NW #615, Atlanta, GA 30318. This location is small. My wife has had two of her nice dresses dry-cleaned here. I've had eight pairs of pants dry-cleaned and four pairs of pants hemmed. The quality of the work has been excellent. The cleaned garments look like new. At one of the drop-offs, there were years-old stains on my pants that I didn't think would come out. Therefore, I didn't even bother to mention the stains. After pickup and inspection, I was pleasantly surprised to see the stains were gone. The attention to detail is great. Examples after dry cleaning: the bows on one of my wife's dresses was neatly and carefully tied, all the back pocket buttons on my pants were buttoned, and all my pants were ironed and pressed correctly. Other dry cleaners have created redundant creases in some of my pants, probably due to being careless and lazy. Fortunately, nothing like that has happened here. My pants have been pressed correctly according to their style, with existing creases reinforced and sharpened. I appreciate this. These examples show an extra level of care. Sang shortened my pants. He was precise and even called me to confirm the exact measurement to cut, down to the quarter inch. The turnaround time for four pants to be hemmed was only one week, including a holiday (this past Monday, Labor Day). I think that's a pretty good turnaround time. Turnaround time for dry cleaning has been two business days, including Saturday. For example, I think if you drop off clothes on a Friday, you can pick them up as early as the following Monday at 5pm. When I first visited, I saw Sang working with a customer to get her dress altered, so I figured I'd give this place a shot with alterations too. Hemming is simple enough, but for more complicated alterations, I'd still go to and recommend Royal Alterations on Howell Mill Rd: https://www.yelp.com/biz/royal-alterations-atlanta As far as cost goes, to get two dresses and four pants cleaned cost $53.90 after tax. To get four pants cleaned and hemmed: $89.80 after tax. I was quoted $16 per pants for hemming (not sure if that's before or after tax). I'm not exactly sure when this Carriage Cleaners location originally opened. The first Yelp review for this location was February 10, 2020. The first Google review was four years ago. On Google Street View in November 2018, storefront signage was up with "Coming Soon" on the front door. The building still looked to be under construction / renovation at that time.

Pressed For Success - State of slacks before the zipper replacement

I had a zipper that broke on a pair of slacks that still had plenty of wear left so I decided to get it replaced. The customer service here is friendly but I think it's important to note the phone number doesn't work. I agreed on $25 for the replacement of the zipper. Upon pickup, for reasons unknown to me, the replacement zipper wasn't made to go all the way back to the top of the slacks where it originally sat (see pics) and they also removed the discreet hook & eye closure the slacks came with (super frustrating). Therefore, I had no choice but to leave the slacks to get the closure put back on because they were unwearable in that state. And to be really honest I wasn't keen on the royal blue color that was used for the zipper either but I didn't complain since that was never discussed. Upon 2nd pickup, they (whoever does the alterations) replaced the hook & eye closure with a large one that left a gaping hole between the fabrics. This tells me that whoever does the alterations isn't a specialist in this line of work. A hook & eye closure is never meant to be exposed on any piece of clothing. Anyway, I'm ultimately glad that I tested their service with something that wouldn't break me if they got it wrong. But I would 100% stick with them for only dry-cleaning going forward. I think the before and after pics speak for themselves. Hope this helps someone! TDLR; say yes to dry-cleaning, no to alterations

My roommate attempted to cheer me up by telling me about this awesome family owned cleaners that was within walking distance of our house. I took his recommendation and my first experience was pretty good. Basically same day service and everyone was super nice. My next visit was even better, but it didn't have to be because they were actually closed (not sure I follow the logic of a dry cleaners closing on Monday). Just by chance I pulled up while an employee was there doing repairs. Even though they were closed he opened the door, retrieved my order, and took payment. Undoubtedly great service. After a few more visits I was sure I had found my new cleaners. Today I was devastated after they basically refused to take American Express, even though they do take it as payment. In the grand scheme of things it's probably not a big deal. I just didn't appreciate being forced to give them my debit card and forgo the Membership Rewards points that I could have received. Everything about this place gives you the feeling that they're going out of business - homemade signage, lack of lobby, uneven driveway, etc. If they can't afford the extra 2% (of $30.30) to take my preferred method of payment maybe they should consider selling to a developer... Or rethink the consequences of not wanting to spend $.60.

I really didn't know exactly what I was looking for to start but lucky me, they made it so easy. I don't love having to go into stores (because of traffic and I'm a tired girl lol) or having to simply guess and order over the phone as some trophy stores expect. They make it so easy by offering up all their options online, allowing you to order in store, over the phone or online. Score. I was able to browse through all of the options and came across the perfect design. It's been a few years since I've purchased a trophy so I didn't know what to expect as far as pricing but I was so blown away that I walked out with 5 lines of engraving + rush time and didn't spend over $80. I received proofs back within 30min of submitting my order! I made a revision to a line I previously submitted and the revisions were back within minutes. Incredible turnaround time. I was waiting around for an email/call telling me it was done and was so worried it wouldn't be ready in time. When I called (about 7 days after my initial order) hoping and praying that it was ready, I overheard the team member I spoke to (who was a sweetheart) say to another coworker that it had been ready for like 5 days lol. Oops. I don't believe I did, but maybe I missed an kind of "ready for pickup" communication? But who cares, I was more focused on the fact that it had been finished so quickly! :) Pickup was super easy, every employee I spoke to was incredibly helpful and patient as well. They have two pickup locations and I picked up at the Midtown location. Located in a plaza with restaurants and a few other businesses, there's lots of parking and it was a quick process. The trophy was perfect!! I know where to turn when I need another.
