As a wheelchair using driver, it's not particularly quick or easy to identify an appropriate vehicle that will meet my needs. I don't drive a van. I typically have driven a 2-door automatic, however, it has to have enough room between the driver's seat and the door frame that I can put my wheelchair, when folded, in the backseat. When I was younger, these were easy to find. These days? Not so much. I first called Ed Martin Honda as I was curious about a used Honda Civic. I'd had a Civic before, but cars change over the years and I wanted to make sure. I was transferred multiple times trying to find basic answers about the vehicle. At one point, I simply asked if they could measure the space I needed to know about as I'd been able to determine how much room I needed. It was really basic customer service, and they just wouldn't do it. Majorly dropped ball. Somewhat on the flip side, I did an in-person visit and the sales rep definitely went out of the way to let me try a couple of the vehicles. I was definitely impressed, and there was a definite effort to try to think of vehicles that would actually work. That was good customer service, though we didn't actually find a vehicle. For the record, I ended up buying a Honda. If that original associate had been more helpful who knows what could have happened? I learned that both the Civic and the Accord would work (coupe versions, so slightly older). I ended up with an Accord that I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive. This was a solid mid-range experience, though somewhat disappointing given I've generally heard great things about Martin's customer service. Phone call? Disappointing. In-person? Much better. Overall, I'd still probably return for future needs.

They tried raising the down payment he was told he needed after his APPROVAL by $2k, AND the price of the car by almost $3k dollars. They're threatening with "fake bad reviews" on his works listings. They tried to bribe us with a $20 gift card to leave them a good review when we initially were talking about it. (Illegal). Now harassing and threatening my fiancé due to his HONEST review. (Illegal) There were MULTIPLE cars on their lot with missing trim pieces, hail damage, dents, faded paint, incorrect wheel sizes and tread depths on AWD vehicles which can damage the drivetrains over time. Definitely have a pre-purchase inspection done by your own trusted mechanic if you choose to do business with these individuals. THEY WRECKED MY CAR!…read more They were supposed to swap a transmission and additional parts (clutch, bearings, pressure plate and so many more) and they wrecked my car on a test drive. They hit something and the wheel went into the fender, tearing up the suspension, brake, and damage to the fender and front bumper. When I spoke to the technicians they all told me different stories on what happened. The owner is a liar (he said a ball joint broke and it caused the wheel to get into the fender while it was on the lift) and replaced the broken parts with the cheapest parts that they could find. He complained because my performance parts that they damaged were too expensive and bought the cheapest crap that now needs to be replaced. They "fixed" everything that was broken and He (the owner) told me it was running great. Picked the car up and it limped home, barely ran. Took it back and they were supposed to replace the transmission they put in with my old one because the one they put in was "bad", even though it wasn't. Went to get the car again after the owner told me it was running great. I go to pick it up and I requested that the owner rides with me. Sure enough, the car drove like shit. Goes back to the shop because "my original transmission is now bad." If you are keeping count, this is now two "bad transmissions." When I finally pick the car up, it drove like garbage. The tech that worked on my car said that they just didn't want to mess with my car anymore and never took the transmission out. This is verified because I paid close attention to the short throw shifter that was installed. I confronted the owner after the second test drive with him in the car and he repeatedly lied over and over, and then had the audacity to ask me for payment. Part two: When I originally took the car there, I had a bunch of parts that they were supposed to install, including detailed instructions on what to do. After I finally got the car back home, they didn't install half of the parts that they were supposed too. On top of that, my tan interior, including the headliner, is stained with greasy hand prints. They car came back home completely in disarray. They interior pieces where never put back together, hood upright is broken, headlight assembly is broken, front end is janky, the list goes on and on. Had to take the car the someone else and fix ALL of their mistakes. 100 percent crooks!
