Kimia Attar is an excellent dentist, and I am so glad I visited her office for a second opinion on some teeth issues.

The dentists (3 different now) have been chatting very loudly about their personal lives and Netflix shows that they like to watch while in the office. I was also screamed at while standing halfway in my car in the parking lot that I needed to have a mask on during the end of Covid times & then while in the office right before they were going to examine and begin my teeth cleaning that I needed to have the mask over my mouth. It was very rude now the situation was handled & seemed unnecessary to keep outing the mask up over my lips when every couple of minutes they were looking inside my mouth. Was not able to get my x-ray of my tooth while pregnant the day they my tooth broke and I had to go elsewhere for an emergency appointment to have it fixed since tribal health couldn't get me in here. So I was forced to get an x ray while 8 months pregnant in order to have my completely cracked and broken off tooth fixed. There should be a way to help people regardless of a document sharing policy in case of emergencies. Perhaps, options to a system that uses facial recognition or something for emergencies could help all people and hopefully some Indians.

She originally went in to have a veneer replaced after having her existing veneers for about 15 years without problems. The replacement repeatedly came off and had to be reattached three times. On the third attempt, additional structure was removed from her natural tooth without her understanding beforehand that this was going to be done. She developed significant tooth sensitivity afterward that has unfortunately persisted. During the course of this treatment, the veneer on the neighboring tooth was also damaged and had to be repaired by the office. That veneer later chipped in the area that had been repaired. What bothered me just as much as the dental problems was how her concerns were handled afterward. When she obtained her records, there was apparently no documentation of the sensitivity she reported or of the damage and repair to the neighboring veneer. When she questioned the dentist about why these significant issues weren't documented, she was extremely frustrated by how dismissively her concerns were addressed. There were also major communication issues with billing. After multiple visits without being told about a substantial outstanding amount, she was eventually surprised with a bill of approximately $850. She disputed the remaining balance because of everything that had occurred, and the practice ultimately sent that disputed balance to collections. I've watched my wife spend an incredible amount of time and energy dealing with something that started as a straightforward replacement of a veneer that had lasted approximately 15 years. She is ultimately paying the remaining bill simply because she wants to be finished with the situation. Obviously, I wasn't the patient in the chair, so I can only speak from my perspective as her husband and to what I personally witnessed her deal with afterward. But after seeing the ongoing sensitivity, the problems with her veneers, and the stress and frustration caused by the way the situation was handled, I would not feel comfortable trusting this practice with my own cosmetic dental work.

I feel it's important to share mine. I waited over an hour past my appointment time before being seen, and unfortunately things only went downhill from there. Months after my visit, I received a surprise notice saying I owed a lot of money, with no itemized bill attached. I then spent months going back and forth between my insurance and the office. My insurance was incredibly helpful and patient, and they told me the office did not file the claim accurately, which created ongoing issues. The office staff, on the other hand, felt scattered and disorganized every time I called. They also billed me for several X‑rays, including a panoramic one they couldn't provide proof of ever taking. Because the information I was getting from the office kept changing, I ended up keeping pages of notes with time stamps just to track everything. I simply didn't trust Riviera Smiles to keep accurate records. After reading other reviews, it seems like my experience wasn't an isolated one. I would recommend being very cautious and double‑checking everything if you choose this office.

Unnecessary treatments, no numbing application was applied for my veneer when getting it put on,…read morereally high-end prices I decided to go here because I saw good reviews on here. I will say I have had no issues with the staff and they've all been very kind even doctor Denny as well no issues as far as hospitality. In fact, I loved everyone there. As far as the appointments, though, something was off and a little fishy. He had said one tooth had too many fillings and it needed a veneer so I did that and it was a huge amount of money. I think it was around $800. After that I had problems with the tooth and he said it could've been a hairline fracture or it could need a cap and he was ready to schedule an appointment for that. Not only that is he pointed out that I had about three teeth with cavities in it. I also asked him to shave down my teeth and some areas from some bad fillings. I had gotten previously from a different dentist and he never did that for me. I decided to go to Kendall Rhodes associates. They didn't find any of the cavities. There was nothing wrong with the tooth that he wanted to fix a hairline fracture for. Not only that is on a very first appointment the dentist smooth out my fillings without me having to ask, she knows it and said how terrible and just went into it. I'm blown away. I want to believe that this is a good dentist and that money isn't a contributing factor to the decisions he made on my teeth. But I'm having a really hard time justifying all the money that I've spent. I'm very thankful I went to another dentist where I feel like they aren't just trying to milk my money.
