As far as the appointments, though, something was off and a little fishy. He had said one tooth had too many fillings and it needed a veneer so I did that and it was a huge amount of money. I think it was around $800. After that I had problems with the tooth and he said it could've been a hairline fracture or it could need a cap and he was ready to schedule an appointment for that. Not only that is he pointed out that I had about three teeth with cavities in it. I also asked him to shave down my teeth and some areas from some bad fillings. I had gotten previously from a different dentist and he never did that for me. I decided to go to Kendall Rhodes associates. They didn't find any of the cavities. There was nothing wrong with the tooth that he wanted to fix a hairline fracture for. Not only that is on a very first appointment the dentist smooth out my fillings without me having to ask, she knows it and said how terrible and just went into it. I'm blown away. I want to believe that this is a good dentist and that money isn't a contributing factor to the decisions he made on my teeth. But I'm having a really hard time justifying all the money that I've spent. I'm very thankful I went to another dentist where I feel like they aren't just trying to milk my money.

First off, this is my second time leaving a review. In addition to being liars who can't stand being called out, they not only manipulate the review system, they also manipulate the DHMO system. That is to say they take money to provide services, but then do everything they can to deny those services. For those of you who don't know how a DHMO works, the office that accepts DHMO gets paid a flat rate by your insurance, and in return they are supposed to give you the basic services like a cleaning a couple times a year. But that's not enough for this dentist, they make up fake issues and try to do unnecessary work in order to bring in extra money. Read some of the other reviews, it's horrifying. My personal experience was they made me run through a bunch of hoops to get a basic cleaning that I was due through my dental insurance. Extra xrays and exams, multiple appointment times on different days (so they can bill extra, doesn't matter to inconvenience the client). Then had the nerve to try and tell me I needed a couple thousand dollars worth of work done. I evidently have all kinds of problems that my former dentist that I saw twice a year never noticed. It was sus, so I went back to my former dentist to get a second opinion; he said there was no evidence I needed any of the work Beachside Dental was trying to get me to sign off on. They wanted to mess up my perfectly healthy teeth to make a buck. And no doubt have me follow up with additional expensive procedures later to fix the very real issues they would have likely caused. When Beachside found out I had gotten a second opinion, they refused to honor my insurance and DHMO and even do a cleaning. They "won" after all, collected money and didn't do the work they were supposed to. Run, don't walk away from this crooked practice.

They got annoyed when I asked a question about what they wanted to do to my mouth and said I shouldn't ask questions because it "affects the quality of care they can provide" . Um no, answering patients' questions is exactly how you DO provide quality care, not the other way round. No one ever answers the phone so you have to ask questions during the appointment but they just want to crank your teeth into dollars and keep quiet I guess. Had to go back 2 more times to get a filling smoothed out because they were so rushed the filling was lumpy and rough and I couldn't get floss around it. I felt like he was honest and didn't try to upsell me the whole time (one of the reasons I left my previous dentist). He offers Invisalign, which I am very excited about because I've been considering doing it for a couple years now. My old dentist did not do Invisalign, so that's a huge plus. I am returning in a couple weeks to do a scan for Invisalign and will hopefully be able to get started soon after! The hygienist, Tatiana, was great and very knowledgeable about airway dentistry, which was another huge plus as I have recently been learning quite a bit about airway health, and she was able to give me some really wonderful insight.
