Walked in my wife and I were completely overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. Thankfully our contractor had us scheduled to meet with Nan. First off we both known what we like but like I said it was overwhelming. Nan is one of the few people I've had the privilege to work with that listened, gave honest feedback that aligned to our ultimate goal while at the same time opening our eyes to design options we weren't aware of. Having the task of selecting such an important foundation that will ultimately result in the success or failure of such a huge undertaking could have been a nightmare. With the guidance and support from Nan we were able to finalise our selections for all 4 bathrooms in 2 hours while having fun and being excited the whole time. Thanks Nan for turning a potential nightmare into a stepping stone of excitement for the end game, we're truly grateful.

Nan was OUTSTANDING to work with. She is one of the most knowledgable tile designers I've had the pleasure to work with. We wanted to keep things consistent with the rest of the house and went with Travertine for the bathrooms, tile plank for the backsplash and LVP throughout for the floor. The quality of products that The Tile Shop sells is superb and everything shipped and arrived with no issues. Thank you Nan and Daniel, the store manager. Superb Job! And I look forward to working with you again.

I gave JCF a call and after a fair price and a quick turnaround we had brand new beautiful floors almost as soon as the leak was stopped. I would highly recommend to JCF to anyone who cares about quality and great service. I will be a lifelong customer for JCF, I recommend everyone check them out.

Run, don't walk, away from this company…read more About a year ago, we had a bathroom leak that affected a patch of our wood floors in the master bedroom. Johnson Custom Floors assured me that I didn't need to get brand new wood floors for the entire downstairs, we could patch the bedroom, and sand the rest of the bedroom down and stain it. I had some wear on the rest of the downstairs floors, so they said they could do a polyurethane top coat finish on the floors to make them look brand new. We had a few high traffic areas in the kitchen where the stain was coming up-- so, per their idea, they added some stain to the topcoat to blend in. We were told we would need to be out of the house for 5+ days, but they finished very quickly, and we were back in either 3 or 4 days (can't remember). Within 4 days, the top coat started bubbling and flaking off in huge chunks! My floors looked significantly worse than they did before. I immediately contacted the company, who said it "must be because of the added stain" (which was their idea), and they said they'd come out and re-do the top coat. If you've ever had any experience with re-doing floors-- you have to completely move out of your house. So, having to move my entire family out for another several days to a week (at our expense!) was LESS than desirable. Also... my floors were in decent shape before they came, and now they looked 20+ years old. I wanted the job done right the first time. Our baseboards also had a lot of stain/polyurethane on them that I had to hand scrape off myself. The bathroom ended up re-flooding, and this time caused significantly more damage to the floors (we ended up replacing the entire downstairs). We started interviewing other flooring companies, and instantly everyone was pointing out how bad of a patch job Johnson Custom Floors did in the bedroom. They didn't putty over any of the nail holes, so you could see exactly where the patch was. All in all-- very, very sloppy work. They were one of the cheapest companies that I had come out, but at the end of the day, the job wasn't done right, and I had 0 confidence in them to fix their sloppy work and perform a much larger scale job.

We also looked at the warehouse / home improvement stores. After visiting a couple of local carpet stores and one of the home improvement stores in the area, I came across Floor Covering International in Southlake ( https://southlake.floorcoveringsinternational.com ). They were local and would bring samples to your home. We gave them a call and set up a time for them to come to the house. Joe came to the house with a large selection of carpets and we were able to quickly find the carpet we wanted and provided a verbal cost. Joe followed up with a written quote later that day and we set up a date for installation. Joe also arranged for his installation team to move the furniture for a fee, which made the process very easy. The installation team showed up on time, moved the furniture, took out the old carpet and started the installation. Joe stopped by to check on the installation and spotted a problem, the padding was the standard foam padding versus the upgraded padding we had selected. Joe was able to get the upgraded padding while the team finished taking out the old carpet. They finished up the installation, in less then eight hours, moved all the furniture back and cleaned up the mess. What we expected to be a big complicated project turned out to be a very easy process to update our home. We love the new carpet and the upgraded padding was a great choice for a very plush feel. We highly recommend Floor Covering International of Southlake. If you need new floors and are looking for a great experience give them a call.
