Heidi did my nails and I have to agree with everyone else, she really is the sweetest! I went in for full set acrylics and she encouraged me to get gel instead and I'm glad I did! Love this place ! I was a walk in and i was taken right aqay. they were so friendly and so kind. I took away a star for 2 things. 1- I work with my hands and 90% of my working day it's in chemicals. there a not an option to have gloves on so my hands get so dry. and I do apply lotion on my hands every night. I don't really like being told that my hands are in bad shape. I already know that's why I kinda went there. he was very soft spoken when he was telling me and it didn't come off like I was being out down I just didn't like to be told something I already knew. and 2- the nail polish that o first picked out would NOT dry on my finger nails. He told me the nail could be old. I was disappointed cuz I absolutely loved the color. I wish they would throw out the old nail polished so someone wouldn't fall in love with it. DESPITE those 2 things. which I consider minor cuz they still kept a good positive attitude. I would definitely go back and recommend. ! read more

So I called to see the price for a gel pedicure. Today! Thr lady who answered said do you have gel on your toes, yes. She stated, If you take it off yourself at home it's $40. I said OK that kind of defeats the purpose of coming to get your toes done when you do that when you're providing the service? She said oh yes it's also still $40. I came here today and I got a pedicure done. I am assuming he is the owner by the yelp page but he was the one doing my pedicure. My toenails were cut crooked, it wasn't a well done paint job there was spots on my toe nail not painted. Sharp edges on my toe nails from where they were cut crooked & he didn't do a good job massaging my feet like my friend next to me was getting done. He seemed like he was in a rush. He spent a lot of time on my legs & he wasn't gentle. I went to go pay & told the lady who was doing an excellent job on my friends toes about the messy job he did & she went ahead & redid all my toenails without charge & apologized. So I had to spend extra time to get my toenails redid but she did a beautiful job. I wish I had gotten her in the beginning. For her I give her 5 stars, I'll be coming back again just for her!! read more

This was my experience with Carolines nails. Yesterday I was unable to get into my New York Nails shop because they had people waiting. I had not made an appointment but was in dire need of waxing. So, I looked online and found Carolines. I drove in the morning to their location and found the place completely empty. I reviewed their prices for nails, waxing, and other services. I asked them to match the price that New York Nails charges me. They refused a three dollars difference. I asked again, and stated- "You have no customers here and I am a new customer. Can you really not match the price and let me try your services?" They again said NO. What this situation told me was this: They do not understand customer acquisition. To acquire me was a cost to them of USD$3.00! So very little. They lost my business, future business, and any referral. But, I realise for me their is a God in heaven watching over. Because then I drove to LOVELY NAILS, a place next door to my home that was also online and I found the cleanest of shops, an excellent manicurist, and a cheaper price. I am sold. And, instead of returning to Carolines, I will become a customer of LOVELY NAILS a clean wonderful shop on the corner of Rumble and McHenry next to the FM Bank! If people are not wise of standard good business customer service, then people that are fair paying customers will never become their loyal long term clients. Yesterday I called in to Caroline's nail spa to try them out, luckily she had an opening right away. First impression tiny shop and the incense smell was very strong however the pedicure station was emaculent and the girl who helped me was great!! Her tools came out of sterilized packages which is a HUGE deal!!! There's fungus and lots of super bugs out there ppl!!! She took her time shaping my nails just perfect shellac colors galore and the product is clearly good quality because my nails look so smooth, then the massage....lemme tell ya I was immediately floating on a cloud! I've been coming here for several months now and wouldn't choose to go anywhere else. Their pedicures are one of the best that I have received in a long time, they don't skimp on the massage and they pay close attention to your cuticles and filing your nails. The salon is very cleanly (probably the cleanest I have ever been in, to be honest). So, I called Caroline's Nails Spa to see if I could get an appointment for a acrylic nail fill and they took me right in! I got Heidi and she is just awesome! Heidi did a great job on my nails , i recieved compliments on them right after she finished from a customer who was there ! I haven't been this happy with my nails or ao satisfied with a nail salon . Her husband is very friendly and he did a great job on my pedi. He uses all organic products for pedicures. This is probably my favorite place to get my nails done. I called and made an appointment with Heidi based on her reviews for a gel set and a basic pedicure. It had been some time since I had either so I was really looking forward to the relaxation. When I got there I was the only person there, so the calmness of the salon was very nice. She shaped out my nails to elongate them perfectly and when adding the stones she did warn me that it's possible for them the pop off. Previously I was always told that they would stay on no problem. Her honestly was very appreciated. The gentleman there, which I didn't get his name, did a wonderful job at my pedicure. He was the first person not the quick the cuticle or the nail. Oh my goodness -- this place went ABOVE and BEYOND for me when I entered last night. I had a presentation to give today and I wanted my nails to look nice. From the moment I entered, the gentleman working was sweet and diligent -- he absolutely pampered me for an HOUR and a half. I asked him to do the mani/pedi combo (only $30!!) and he was so diligent about each and every nail -- from beginning to end. I hate feeling rushed when I'm in the nail salon but he treated me as if I were the only customer in the spa. When I finished, he even moved my drying station to face the television so I could watch the Grammy's while waiting for my nails to dry. He made sure my nails were PERFECT before I left the salon. I have never been to a better nail salon. I'm a huge fan of gel manicures but it's hard to find a place that does them well. I'm rough on my nails and chip them very quickly. A friend/coworker recommended Caroline Nails to me after raving about how amazing it was. I concur. If she were located somewhere near the freeway or on the main street I think they would be packed all the time. Right now she is located behind P.Wexfords. I walked in 30 minutes before my appointment fully expecting to wait a little while. Heidi greeted me promptly and knew I was her appointment. She sat me down and got me the colors. I decided on a french gel mani because I can never choose a color. She informed me that it would be $5 more which is what I was expecting, but what I was shocked about was that a normal gel mani is only $20! So my french gel mani was only $25! Not including tip of course, but that is $10 less than any other place I have been too. I almost felt like I was taking advantage. Not to mention I am pretty picky about how I like my french tips to look. I prefer my nails shorter and with a thin white line. I only mentioned this once and she knew exactly what I meant! And she is very quick too. I have been in nail salons for at least an hour while they are doing my nails, it only took her 20 minutes for my mani, no mistakes and it looks perfect. She fixed my cuticles wonderfully. I also decided I wanted to do a pedicure as well. She showed me the menu they had and I chose a $30 one because I needed a calve massage desperately. I picked out my color quickly and she did not rush through it. She took about an hour to do it which is exactly what I wanted, and most of that was a calve and foot massage. AMAZING! It was the best mani/pedi I have ever gotten. Needless to say, I will be coming back and I will be recommending everyone I know to her. read more
