The rink itself is in good condition and the amenities are all in place: skate rental, lockers, concessions (accessible on skate). They have party rooms but seem to be currently under construction. Big improvements are on the way from the looks of it. Where this place really went above and beyond for us was a last-minute kids birthday party. Originally we were going to host at home and then go the rink but plans abruptly changed and Coachlite came through! They setup tables for us and made us feel very welcome. (Thank you!) I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a fun as you recall from childhood and I urge you to go if you haven't taken the family yet. You'll love it!

The liner that the company sent me was 9 feet too short on the width to fit my rink. After discovering this, I spent a couple of hours reworking my rink so that my kids would have at least enough ice to work on shooting and passing, but not enough to really skate around on. Iron Sleek offered me a $40 refund for the missing 9 feet because the liner was already installed. I politely let them know that I think this is unreasonable and I believe a full refund or resending the appropriately sized liner (the liner I had originally ordered) was a reasonable solution. Instead, they stopped responding to me. It was the company's mistake for sending the wrong liner, which led to me having to spend a couple of hours reworking the rink (in the cold) to try to get it to fit. I was trying to make the best of a bad situation and salvage some of the winter season for my kids to at least be able to work on shooting. I'm not sure if they were expecting it to be mailed back. That would have been a pretty interesting scenario as I'm not sure I could have rolled it up outside, in the wind and cold, and gotten it back in the same box they sent it in (sort of like trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube). I would not recommend ordering from Iron Sleek. They sent the wrong product and showed little effort to resolve the issue, so it seems to me that working with this company is simply crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. When I was looking for an ice rink liner I found several companies that were similarly priced. I would suggest trying one of them over Iron Sleek.

What a fun discovery on my first visit to Wheaton! This is a very well maintained little course with some water features but none of the mechanical hazards you normally find at the larger courses. I enjoyed the nice landscaping and found this was a great way to pass an hour. When I was there, I saw a grandmother playing a round with her grandson and a young family following behind them. The price for a Wheaton resident is $5 for adults and $4 for children (15 years old or younger) and senior citizens. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my morning. This is very well hidden next to the train track so it is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. There is also a skate park right next door that I did not try out because I would probably break a bone.

I waited for days, and then I got an anonymous text with a couple of questions in return. So I'd respond, and then days would go by where I wouldn't hear anything again. I called several times and left messages, then I got another text a couple of days later. Finally, I got a text with just a price tag - no itemized breakdown of costs, no responses to my questions about table sizes, nothing. I left another message, asking for an itemized quote and haven't heard back. Its so surprising, considering how responsive and professional they were the past two summers when I rented from them. Itemized contracts, detailed terms. everything you would expect. This time there was none of that. Did they lose their sales staff? Are they going out of business?
