Also, a picnic table and gazebo are available next to the beach volleyball net. This is the reason why the park is always busy during summertime. Many people have their parties here. Teens also come and play soccer and basketball during the day. The parking lot is large and private. There is a bike trail around the Beirman Park and the Heritage Lake. It's a very convenient for biking and walking. I come to this park with my children every other week during the summer to stay in shape and also enjoy the beautiful scenery, weather, and sounds of nature. Many people go fishing at the lake. But the staff in the front/lobby area were super helpful to direct us to the right place. There is a lot for a child to explore inside and perfect for ages 3-7, I'd say. Some of the slides are VERY FAST. So be aware of that if you have really little ones climbing up. The graphics of the waterfall and lazy river is a cute touch! And the party vestibule in the same area is so handy. It's a perfect venue for a kids birthday party. I am so glad our friends invited us! There is ample parking and the bathrooms are very clean.

In the heart of Wheaton in a quiet residential area, this is a terrific playground for all ages (even Grandpa's!) Large sand area and several different play areas with challenges for kids of all ages. You can spend 10 mins here or several hours here. There's usually other kids (almost always) here that have always been super friendly and its never been too packed where it's not fun. The splash pad is moderately sized and a great time for kids. There is a playground right behind it that offers a sand pit as well as the typical playground equipment. The mini golf course is challenging and fun! They sell concessions in the mini golf building (and you can host a party there!), which is your standard junk food heaven that you'd expect. For summer 2024 the splash pad is FREE!
