I've not skated here myself but I've attended 3 roller derby events, in support of my fav team Chicago-Style Roller Derby, and it's been a solid experience each time! The space is large enough to host a big event like this, enough seating space for fans, area for vendors, food for sale. Parking can be tricky on derby nights, best to arrive early for a spot.

I come here to watch the rollerderby. Overall decent place, food is not terrible, it's edible. I wish they had a better beer selection. Like Revolution or something not too weird. Lots of parking! The rollerderby is too much fun!!! GO ChicagoStyle! Ya'll rule!

(Long but could save a drive) We went to Coachlite for a birthday party. The customer service is unwelcoming and dry. Our hostess was sweet, but young and inexperienced/untrained in the service industry. Due to the hostess being inexperienced and not stating "additional rules" our birthday girl caught more pretend money than was allowed. Instead of honoring the hostess mistake, the management made her put it all back and do it all over again. The pizza we were severed seemed like Aldi's brand ($3.85), simply popped in the oven and up charged to roughly $13. Even worse the smell when they burned it, is putrid, filling the entire dining space. The skating floor is even and smooth, but could use a glaze of sorts. Also, don't expect to record your skating experience because no phones are allowed on the skating floor. If you like to capture social memories, don't expect to because it is not allowed on the skating floor. Additionally, those of the LGBTQ+ community, stand to be offended/annoyed by the constant request of certain genders skating at a time. There were a host of additional rules that take from the experience of being at a roller rink and having fun. For example, I was standing still holding my son watching the birthday girl for the second time collecting cash, while I understand the safety concerns, I didn't think it was necessary for the management to rudely approach me, and demand me to no longer hold my baby. I was told it was in their list of rules. When I asked where can I would find this rule, the management walked away. As a skater of 20+ years, I have never been to a place meant for fun and have so little fun. I attached photos of some of the rules I was able to catch in the lobby.

    New logo neon.

UPDATE: The rink has sold to new owners who are investing quite a bit of money into the place to accomplish the so needed updates! New skates coming soon, new Thursday night adult night is a success. Two new private party rooms in the works, etc.

We had a ton of fun on their $5 skate night. It's a pretty old school place. Different ages of skaters. Fun music.

Always a good time. Nice selection of reasonably priced food at the snack bar too. Great sound system! Just how skating should be.

I've spent countless hours at both skating, playing and watching hockey games. While the other rink has a bit more nostalgia, I still have fond memories here too. It's not what it once was, but it still gets the job done for the basics of an ice rink. There is plenty of space all around, whether its the lobby, stands or locker rooms. It is sad that the Jerry's Pro Shop is no longer (thanks COVID), as well as the arcade that once existed in the first room to the left when you enter. I cannot speak on any of the specific programs (i.e. Renegades) since its been over a decade since I last played, though I've been few times here and there for public skates. Pricing for that seems reasonable, though I've had my own blades to use. The only negatives I could mention is that the Men's restroom is in a bit of disrepair, and that's why this review is down a star. Otherwise, it's still the same I as I remember. It's also a shame that they don't seem to have tournaments a lot, since they certainly have the space. Happy skating!

Tonight(03/14/26), I had been told to leave during the adult skate. My mother had gotten yelled at for trying to go on the skating floor as well. He asked me for my ID and I gave it to him. He proceeded to call me and my mother liars. I know for a fact that he let's children skate during adult skate. We did not get a refund and he did not offer one. Another issue is the bathrooms, specifically the women's bathroom as I have no reference for the men's. I have a disability and although I usually manage, I had used the accessible toilet. I had noticed that there was only a railing behind the toilet which I could not reach. Also during the session, a kid touched me inappropriately and smiled afterwards. I do not feel safe at Xtreme Wheels. I am afraid to go back now because I feel as if I will be banned permanently.

My 8-year-old was surrounded by a group of unsupervised 13-year-olds who tripped him and struck him in the back of the head. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, I was told that drop-offs are permitted, and no action was taken to remove the older children involved. Despite three witnesses confirming what happened, staff chose to side with the teens, accepting their explanation that it was an "accident." When the manager confronted the group, I saw them laughing, which gave me the clear impression that the seriousness of the situation was not acknowledged. Additionally, there seems to be a general lack of enforcement when it comes to the rules on the skating floor. At times, it feels like skating at Xtreme Wheels is a free-for-all. Families are trying to enjoy their time, but they're often sharing the space with unsupervised kids running around without accountability. I believe that if floor rules were more consistently enforced, it would create a safer and more enjoyable environment--especially for families with younger children.
