    School cafeteria burger.

Not good. And I'm sorry to have to put a 1 star here, the guys running the truck seemed nice and maybe what I got wasn't their specialty but I was disappointed. I got the triple burger and a side of fries and I just don't know what to say other than it's not great. It's not HORRIBLE, but it's worse than fast food, burgers are grey, bread is soggy, and the price is INSANE for what you get. I expected a big monster burger dripping with delicious grease and heavy with bacon... the place is called carnivore! What I got was a cruddy 3 frozen-patty burger sub with no flair, no flavor, and at $8 NOT including the $3 fries. I threw half of it away...$4 thrown in the literal trash. Sorry to slam the business but it needs to be better for that price. NEEDS to be. Food truck competition is getting fierce in buffalo, I hope they step up their game, but it seems to be Step 1) make cheap food, Step 2) charge a lot, Step 3) profit.

If you are one to sink your Incisors into some Meaty Flesh and Gnaw it straight down to the Bone to satisfy the Inner Carnivore in you then this is the Truck to go to. One of the latest Food Trucks to enter Buffalo's Food Scene, Anyone who is a Full Fledged Meat-a-tarian, who just want to get away from their Vegetarian Companions for one Day (Brother, Sister, Parents, Relatives, Friends etc). When I walked over to them the one thing that caught my eye were the Duck Wings, Forget Chicken there are other Winged animals for you to Try and Duck is one of them. 8 fried and beautifully coated Wings (in a Sweet Chili Sauce). Bite into one and you yank off that Fatty, Rich Meat that's been glazed in a Sauce that's Sweet then has that Heat to liven it Up. This is a Dish for any Adventurous Foodie to eat, anyone who is open to New Foods should stop at this Truck. My Next Visit I didn't feel that way as I did the first time, one thing I saw on the Menu that sounded interesting was the Angry Burger. A Burger with Ghost Pepper Cheese and Sliced Jalapenos, I went to take a Bite (expecting the Heat to burn a Hole through my Mouth) but for some reason nothing was happening with the Cheese, it was like the flame was put out, this was a bit of a Disappointment. I think I was angry for even ordering this, It just didn't deliver on the Blazing Heat. My next visit I will either get more Duck Wings, Fish Tacos or those Wild Boar Baby Back Ribs I heard will be on the Menu Soon.

Then went right for the big guns with the pulled pork plate and beef brisket plate. They both come with a side of coleslaw and Mac & cheese. You can choose different side but stayed with the menu. Did the house sauce for the meats and it was a good choice. Would like to try the other sauces next time. The afternoon was warm & sunny and people were sitting outside in the beer garden. The place is bright and airy inside. For takeout the hostess cashes you out and brings out your food. Very convenient. Will definitely be coming back! Looking forward to trying some of their beer.

We went on a weekday late evening and had no trouble finding seating. The booth was cozy and inviting, making it easy to settle in and stay awhile. I lucked out having a fellow Yelp Elite help call the shots on what to order and split - definitely in great company! We ordered the smoked brisket stinger and the cheesesteak, and both were so long and served with a generous portion of fries and tots. The tots were a standout side for me - perfectly crispy with great seasoning. I was popping them like popcorn the entire time. Service was friendly, and check-backs were well-timed, attentive without being overbearing. Overall, it's a great spot to hang out and enjoy some good food. I'm still getting back into the swing of trying new drinks, but this definitely seems like a solid place to grab a beer. My friend ordered the Blind Squirrel, and from the sip I tried, it had a really nice, rich coffee flavor.

We had a really late lunch Saturday and decided it was a good opportunity to try their late night menu for dinner...and opting to takeout makes it even more our speed. It worked out perfectly!! The late night menu starts at 10 pm. It offers most of their starters from the dinner menu, a small plate or two also on their regular menu, several different pizzas and a couple handhelds...and two desserts. There's plenty to choose from! We ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza, pork belly banh mi (star of the show), fries and the chocolate hazelnut torte. Everything was perfection! Possibly the best restaurant food I've had since moving here six years ago. The prices reflect the quality of the ingredients, the care that they put into preparing everything, and how delicious it is! I'm always griping about restaurant prices and quality of food here in Buffalo...that didn't even come close to being an issue with Beacon Grille. Everything was worth every penny! I want to go into great detail about each dish, but I don't want a TLDR situation. But trust me, it is worth it. Sampling the late night menu definitely inspired us to save up to actually eat in for dinner. I know we won't be disappointed! It's very exciting!

The burgers and handhelds sounded amazing, but I decided to go a bit lighter and ordered the Sweata Weatha salad. "Lighter" didn't mean lacking in flavor at all. I got the dressing on the side and didn't even need it. There were so many great mix-ins and textures--the balsamic drizzle added a nice tang, the almond slivers gave it crunch, the blueberries were juicy, and the fried cheese curds were creamy and absolutely heavenly. I left feeling satisfied without that heavy, sluggish feeling, which is always a win. My only regret? Not ordering dessert to go. That PB trifle is still calling my name an hour later... good thing I've got Reese's at home to satisfy that chocolate peanut butter craving.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it even more enjoyable. I ordered fried calamari along with single chicken wings tossed in an Asian sweet and spicy sauce--both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The combination of crispy textures and bold flavors really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server was amazing--attentive, friendly, and truly great at her job. She made us feel welcome from the start. I always enjoy trying new places, and this visit did not disappoint. If you're looking for an American restaurant near Niagara Falls, this is definitely worth trying. We ended the meal with a delicious dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a great experience.

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

We were both super happy with our selections and were eager to have the opportunity to try more. They seem to be known for scratch cooking and locally sourced produce...so, I was pretty disappointed this time when I ordered a side of turkey sausage with my pancakes. It's very obviously a mass produced frozen product. It's exactly like Banquet or Hormel brown n' serve frozen turkey sausage links that you can get from Walmart. It was super spongy inside and the outside was browned but wrinkly and soggy. The taste wasn't awful or anything...I just expected much better. Another recent reviewer mentioned that their chicken cutlet was a strange texture and, by the waiter's admission, the restaurant orders it precooked. This doesn't seem to align with their philosophy of scratch made and local. The pancakes were ok. The flavor was nice but they were pretty dense. I wouldn't order them or the turkey sausage again. I'm not giving up on Salty Chefs yet though!! I know they have some great food, I'll just try different items on the menu to find it...but I'm not super patient when it comes to spending our hard earned money.
