I had the smash burger which came with a delicious side salad. Two patties cooked perfectly was so good. Others had the heirloom tomato panzanella salad, which looked fantastic, and the white bean sandwich, which also looked great. Only 4 cocktails on the menu. The mezcal one was awesome... A combination of Mezcal, Meletti Amaro and Madeira. Yum. Also a nice selection of wines.

Very cozy place with a nice vibe to catch up with friends or if you want a simple, but tasty brunch. We ordered the daily cheese board with two meats, and the beef brisket deep sandwich. Honestly I was not impressed by the board, but the meats were really good. The baguette was 10/10 even the salad that comes with it was great. The main reason for the 4 stars is the $20 cork fee. I was shocked and disappointed since the main reason I picked that place was to have a bottle of wine. Most of them were $30, 35, $40 plus $20 cork fee which is incomprehensible to me, considering I'm buying the bottle from the establishment and also consuming it there plus the food I'm getting. Service was great and I appreciate that the server let us know that the gratuity was included.

I was open to trying a new restaurant at Midway Airport named Beechers. It basically serves grilled…read morecheese sandwiches and paninis featuring Beecher"s homemade cheese. I decided on the Flagship sandwich which is a take on the Caprese sandwich. The cheese was amazing with a nutty slightly sharp favor. A combination between a sharp cheddar and goat cheeses, smooth and creamy. But what made it a bit disappointing was the sparseness of the chopped basil. It was underwhelming and only a hint of basil was detected in maybe every other bite.. If not a whole leaf, a sprinkle of shredded basil would have provided a more satisfying and consistent flavor that I kept anticipating. Service was pleasant but there was a wait. There was only one young lady making the sandwiches. They may need another oven to speed that process up. The coffee came quickly, though. Airport area was fine. Plenty of seating and charging stations!

I only stopped here for espresso. This is the only coffee place in the airport that had macchiato…read moreon the menu. I tried to order at the kiosk and it allowed no orders for coffee without any mention to step to the counter but I did anyway. I ordered a macchiato which was listed right under the espresso shot and separate from the latte and mocha options so a decent indicator of an Italian macchiato. When I was asked if I wanted whole milk I specifically asked if it was just for foam on top of the shots. What I got for $6 and change was a surprise. The cup was too heavy for a 4oz drink and tasted like warm milk. The barista said it needed stirred. I said I was just supposed to be foam and espresso. She said no, this is half and half. I got no response from her when I said I can't even taste the coffee. It tastes like warm milk. I got no response from the barista who seemed to think it was my fault for not liking the drink. What I have is a 12oz cup full to the top with two shots of espresso (I asked) and the rest milk. That's a latte. Not macchiato, not even by some standards. I dumped it and am now heading down to another coffee stand.

Cheese, marvelous cheese!…read more Are you that person with at least five varieties of cheese in your fridge, just in case? Well, I can straight up de-mystify the Stamper Cheese agenda. They are cheese pushers. Like so many artisanal fromage purveyors, their wares suck you in, and you just crave more. Must have fresh mozzarella cheese balls, that is my personal mantra. Twice a week, at either the Federal/Daley/ or Willis Tower Farmers Market, I shuffle up to their booth to score my fix, satiating the gnawing jones of a cheese fiend. The days in between, I try to make it last, stretch it out. Mostly, the fresh mozzarella balls will do. Occasionally, I might venture into a goat cheese gouda, apricot brie, or a nettle infused variety. You know what nettles are? Yeah. They STING you. And apparently, they're good for you too. Only Stamper Cheese would have the cojones to use stinging nettles in their cheese. Get some. It's good. It's a hard cheese variety, and quite tasty. No store front, but they have a Printer's Row Cheese Drop Off. Check their website, Facebook, or better yet, email them for details, since the outdoor Farmers Market season is now over. The winter is that much bleaker without you, Stamper Cheese.

The cheese is good but I wish that they would label the cheeses at the farmers market. I asked what…read morethey were and was given a vague description of these are cheddars, these are goudas, etc. Just look on their website and ask if they have whatever specific flavors that you want. I like the dill garlic curds, string cheese, and dill jack. The mozzarella is just ok.
