Delicious hot chocolate can be had at the Carmines Cafe. Yes, right next to the pizza bar! They have tasty espresso and cape cod coffee, plus truly delicious hot chocolate. Definitely stop in if you're here in the winter! (We haven't tried the pizza - this review is for the cafe!). read more

The pizza was just okay, nothing great and pretty expensive. It was good for a quick stop but not for a solid meal.

Ordered three pizzas for family coming to visit...all very good and have also book marked it for future visits.

Excellent California style pizza. Service was ok, not as friendly as others on the Cape but that's ok. :-)

Great NY style pizza with crust done just right! Fresh toppings. Not greasy. White pizza seasoning was not as flavorful as I'd like -- garlic flavor almost non-existent. Not many places to sit. Pricing was okay for a very large pizza! read more

Heard very good things about here. However when I came in with friends and tried to order a Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza I was not only given a dirty look by the three employees here but also was told i was wrong and they had no such thing after my friend in my party had eaten it here before. As I was waiting for the pizza my party decided to change from a take in order from take out order which became a calamity with the employees. Sad read more

I like this place. Went on a Sunday afternoon. The sun was shining. This place had their doors wide open to let the air in and the smell of warm tomato pies out. We had a small with artichokes and pepperoni. The crust was nice and light, the amount of toppings was just alright, but it was all down to the sauce. Fresh and chunky. It made the pie. Good price. If I came back to Chatham, would I hit it again? You bet I would. read more

We ordered the 6 slice California pizza for take out. The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings were delicious- spinach, artichokes, mushrooms, onions, olives and feta cheese with a light white sauce. It was pricey- around $ 17.50- and I am pretty sure we would have eaten more if it was there. But for a pick up it was reasonably hot and still crispy- excellent favors! Just a bit expensive. read more

The Californian and buffaloes chicken pizza are the best we have had! The Greek Salad was packed with a great dressing as well. My grandchildren had the bacon pizza snd loved it! read more

The pizza here is pretty good, but it's a little smaller than the typical slice and slightly pricier.

Decent pies, but nothing amazing and service was pretty bad (granted that might have had to do with it being the holiday wkd). We called ahead and ordered 4 pizzas and were told it would take 40 mins but it took well over an hour and it was a disaster when we got there. The Californian was the best by far...not necessarily a white pizza but great sauce and crust. read more

The pizza was good but the young adults (def not kids but didn't act like adults) were rude and didn't take care of the establishment. When it was super slow the tables were dirty, wet puddles on the floor, which we informed them about and the girl just laughed and shrugged her shoulders not seeming to care. Sort of sad for the owner because I bet he didn't think his employees would have such little respect for his resturant. read more

Awesome pizza! Couldn't eat enough! Definitely the best I've tasted in Chatham! Yumminess! read more

Wow. So bad. And I usually only wrote good reviews. Waited 15 minutes for coffee. Paid too much. Guess they don't care because it's tourists. Don't recommend it. read more

Excellent pizza. Amazing chicken parm sub. Sauce was honestly the best part, and that's saying something because everything was perfect. Try the buffalo chicken slice, they out celery and other veggies on it as well so the pizza isn't just overwhelmingly buffalo chicken. read more

Fruit smoothie is very sweet and no real fruit. Just ice and syrup. Good flavor but........more of something you would get from a big chain store. Wifes latte. "Good" and from the sip I had I would agree. Lots of froth though for a latte. Mikes ice latte: "tastes good to me". " I would have it again" Shannon's latte: "I like it". Price: 4.50-5 for a large cappuccino or latte. Quick service on a Sunday afternoon in the off season. See ya next year. read more

Best pizza we've ever had! It's always our first food stop when we visit Chatham!

Great pizza, great prices. Fed two adults and two kids (10 and 8) for just over $20.

Barely two stars. Ordered two simple pizza from menu. No substitutions. Person taking the order had not so great command of English language. Pizza took over thirty minutes for dine in with only one other customer in the place. Staff rude and indifferent. Skip this Za read more

I made a yelp just for this review: it was that bad of an experience and honestly one of the worst service experiences in my life. We called ahead for a pizza delivery order and were ten minutes early. We paid for the pizza and handed the receipt to the manager as their system called for. The manager preceded to yell at us for coming early and stated that we are given a pick up time for a reason. When I asked for a refund the short blonde manager said "his money is no good here". It was an absolute nightmare of customer service and I would be embarrassed if I were the owner to have that manager representing the pizza shop. I will never ever return to this place solely because of the manager. Stay away read more

The area of Carmine pizza shop I don't know how to describe how beautiful it is all the beautiful little shops and when I seen Carmine's pizza shop I knew I could get a Greek salad me in my friend was really happy so we ordered two of them in a pizza when I ordered I seen it said pepperoni in a Greek salad I didn't understand that I never knew Greeks put that in there salad so I ask her not to put it in my salad we ordered she had a little hard time understanding me she was new I think they were foreign exchange students there was about four of them in the manager was the one telling them what to do so he ask me what I said and I repeated myself he said ok. the order was done in a timely manner I didn't think I had to look in the bag but to my surprise when I got home it was too small Caesar salad I couldn't go back at that point it's about 20 minutes away I called them. He wasn't there I talked to a girl she said he will call you back in 45 minutes no one call me back read more

Disappointing! After ordering heard the cook coughing and rubbing her nose appeared sick. Total turn off with hand made pizza. I never touched it so I can't say whether it was good pizza or not. Totally disappointing when you waste your hard earned money. read more

Ok pizza, nothing special. The female staff came off as pissed off and condescending, the male staff was excellent. They appeared to use pre-made dough, the toppings typical and not fresh. Passable for a tourist town, not up to the positive reviews. read more

Overall great pizza. The crust was very soft, and the sauce had great flavor. We ordered pepperoni on half but mushrooms all around, but we only ended up getting mushrooms on half and pepperoni on the other half. Still it's one of the only take out places in Chatham, and it was incredibly tasty, so if you're not planning on going out for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Carmine's! read more

Pepperoni, sausage, eggplant, you name it! This eclectic pizzeria and café has the tastiest pizza pies my wife Sheila and I have had in a while! The staff worked with impressive speed and served with a smile, which is much appreciated. Sheila got her favorite: a slice of pizza with no cheese just tomato sauce and it was absolutely delish! On the other hand I went for a slice of eggplant and my was it marvelous! Baked to a perfect crisp and exquisitely prepared, I savored the Italian flavors with each and every bite. The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 was because I'm almost positive I found a hair in my slice. But that's beyond the point. Overall great little pizza joint in downtown Chatham and my wife and I definitely recommend it! read more

Went here based on the other yelp reviews as it received the highest rating compared to other pizza places. We ordered a plain pie and a sausage and onion. Verdict: the pizza here is pretty terrible but not quite inedible. The sausage and onion pie was better due to the toppings masking the flavor, but once we started on the plain pie we could really taste just how bad it was. The sauce is completely devoid of flavor along with the cheese. The crust appeared well cooked on the outside, but was doughy and chewy on the inside. I guess this is what happens when you get pizza outside of NY/NJ- you never know what you're going to get even if reviews say it's good. If this is the "best pizza on the cape", I shudder to think of the quality of every other pizza place here. How hard could it be to mess up a pizza? Apparently very easy. 1/5 would not go back read more

Decent pizza for Massachusetts. Thick tomato sauce . Crust was a bit thick in some areas and soggy in others

Great pizza! Thin and crispy, not greasy. Quick service during busy lunch. A nice change of pace from the sit down lunch places. Could use a few more chairs. read more

The guy making the food messed up my order and when asked about it yelled at me to pay attention to my order number, I did thanks, pay attention to my order and customer service. read more

Pizza is very good, staff is nice, management is horrible! I called ahead for a small pizza, arrived 20 min later as requested and waited for this nice girl to finish ten tasks before allowing me to pay. I take my slip to the end of the counter and again wait for a nice boy to do five operations before he takes my slip and hands me a large box. I look at him funny and pull the slip out of the box and sure enough it is a match. When he asks if anything is wrong I say I ordered a small but if it's pepperoni I'll take it because I have to go. He proceeds to panic, make sure he hasn't mixed up slips and then admit to the boss they made a large instead of a small. Instead of saying OK, she proceeds to pull the pizza back, look in the oven and offer me someone else's cheese pizza. I don't want a cheese, I want pepperoni and I want to leave. No, she replies, you can have your money back and take this cheese or wait for a small pepperoni. So you are willing to give me a free cheese pizza you made for someone else instead of the $2 more large pepperoni you made for me?? And on top of it you are going to make me wait 10 minutes to get this pizza, while 6 people who ordered their pizza after me take them away, and I stew and think up my Yelp! review. Wow, that is horrible restaurant management. So. 45 minutes after I ordered it I walk out with a small pepperoni pizza...need I write more?? read more

Get the pepperoni, mushroom, artichoke. Best cornmeal crust pizza I've ever had. Make sure to douse it in hot pepper flakes.

This is the best take out pizza ive ever had in my entire life. Every year i go up to chatham with my family, get 2 pies and gave a tailgate down at the lighthouse beach, this pizzas so good i can usually finish 7 slices in one sitting due to its lightess read more

While visiting at an Inn in Chatam, Mass. My friends and I inquired about Carmine's Pizza. Well, I can tell you it was the best we have ever had. We are not youngsters, and have eaten our share of pizza in our lifetime. It was so good we went back the next for more. My only sorrow is that I live in California and it is just too far to travel for pizza. LOLOL.. Hopefully on my next visit we will have the pleasure to return to partake inr more.. GREAT GOING CARMINE'S. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I have to agree that carmines has the best pizza I've ever had. I mean real old fashioned pizza, not nouvelle cuisine. The crust is so good it's impossible to eat just one slice. Sort of thin, but crisp and oh so flavorful with good olive oil and crunchy cornmeal on the bottom. And the sauce is primo. The staff are generally Eastern European workers who may have some difficulties with English, but they are incredibly busy in the summer and they are trying hard to do their job. At any rate they learn how to bake a pie properly and turn out the orders as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. I just don't want to go anywhere else for pizza. read more

Amazing pizza!!! Nice and thin with a crust that just says eat me! You must go here when you're in Chatham! Great service too!!!!!

I called this evening to find out what time you were closing, was told 8:30, I was coming from Sandwich. drove the 35 minutes to your place, got there at 8:04 and was told "take out only". It would have been helpful if you also said, take out only after 8. This is the second time it has happened to me. I own a store in Sandwich and have told customers when they are in Chatham they need to go to Carmine's. Never again will I recommend your place or go out of my way to go there myself. read more

I have never experienced anyone as rude as the blonde woman with glasses who works here. She seemed annoyed that we were even in there. Everyone has bad days, but you really shouldn't take it out on the customer. Never going back. read more

The absolute rudest inexperienced counter personnel and pizza makers. The 'kids' taking orders must be all of twelve and haven't a clue. The cooks, if that is what you want to call them are so rude and arrogant. Unbelievable! Go to Orleans to get better pizza from better staff. read more

Worst customer service ever and I mean ever. Manager had no empathy for the phone experience and didn't care one bit. Ordered from here before the service is consistently lousy and pizza is so so quality. Suggest other venues locally read more

This is about the best pizza you can get on Cape Cod. Now, if you're from NY or NJ, please keep in mind that your standards are different -- as a 20-year Cape resident I've had to adjust, and "best on Cape Cod" hardly means "best anywhere." But still! Carmine's makes a really good pizza that would hold its own even off this little peninsula. I don't think you'll regret it! read more
