Beautiful spacious restaurant and bar. People are very welcoming and glad you came. The worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life.

Luckily they had gluten-free fish and chips. However, after waiting over an hour for our food, the fish and chips came out completely inedible. It was like they forgot it in the fryer or something. It was rock hard and the fish was completely soaked in oil. The server was very nice, and offered to take it off of our check or have the kitchen redo the order. We had it taken off of our check because of the extremely long wait and dissatisfaction with how it came out the first time. It's fish and chips, not ratatouille. The red pepper gnocchi was good, but definitely an appetizer size. The salad was a salad, thankfully it was edible. I want to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but it was not busy, so I'm not exactly sure what happened in the kitchen. Due to this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Go for the beer menu and the fried pickles, DON'T stay for dinner…read more Good extensive beer menu Delicious fried pickle appetizer Decent indoor and outdoor seating Please dear lord do not order the steak. I pride myself on not wasting food, but man it was hard to eat a completely unseasoned steak with just a slab of butter on it. No salt, no pepper, no seasoning AT ALL. We ultimately asked for bbq sauce to help get it down but really I cannot understand how the fried pickle batter was so well seasoned and this steak came out completely UNSEASONED. I would ONLY come here again if my family members were inclined to drink more of the unique beer menu. I would definitely not order past the apps menu

Then when you add the fact that this family-owned restaurant has clearly prioritized quality food and service, The Ocean House is must go if you're on the Cape. I was lucky enough to come just at the beginning of the season. Lucky for 2 reasons. Firstly, I was able to get a reservation (I heard it is near impossible once season hits). Secondly, we got a 3 @ 66 deal for an app, a main, and a dessert. So we obviously made it a 6 @ 122 to try everything we possibly could. Apparently that deal is only at the beginning and end of season. The Ocean House has a unique Asian-inspired twist to make each dish unique and intriguing. This goes for both food and drinks. For example, I got a dirty martini with MSG?!? Never heard of that, but it worked. Food was all fresh (especially the fish) and delicious. My favorite was their Chilean Sea Bass. That's a must get. Do yourself a favor and make a resi far in advance and take in everything you can! It may be a little pricy and a little fancy - but definitely worth everything.

I just shared a couple apps with a friend- oysters, salad, and dumplings. I ordered a second order of oysters because they were amazing. (I'm from the midwest so any chance to get oysters by the ocean I take and run with!) The drinks were pretty good too! I drank dirty martinis so those can be finicky but it did not disappoint! Waiting for table wasn't too bad either as we could wait at the exterior bar and that almost was more fun. The outdoor bar over looks the ocean and has great service as well! it was a beautiful night so this was really fun! Overall, this is a must visit place for an elevated dinner!

I also remember that, even though the waitress said it was her favorite as soon as I took a bite I could tell it was a dish I did not care for. I ate a few bites and left the rest. It was some kind of steak with a special preparation. I've looked at the restaurant menu but do not see it listed. It was a special for that evening. The restaurant had a nice Cape Cod feel to it, and it was crowded. There was a large party sitting near by and the acoustics being what they are, it was a little noisy but they left after a bit. The lighting was dim, but it was a pleasant evening and the service was great. They had a nice selection of wines. My friend had the Eggplant Vindaloo, which I had considered ordering and it was a huge serving. She took it back and ate it for several days. Another friend ordered and ate appetizers and loved the Maine Mussels Dijonnaise. I guess it was just my luck of the draw. I should have gone with my first idea and ordered the Eggplant. Or the Mussels. Despite being disappointed with my entree, it was a wonderful place to enjoy an evening with friends.

The homemade dressing is on point. If you are in the mood for a Caesar, this is a great place to get it Meal Side Scallops & Gnocchi. Wow this dish was sooo good. The Truffle Parm Cream sauce and Gnocchi were special. Delicious Balsamic Glaze on the sides as well The Mad Tuna - Tuna dish was out of this world. So fresh!! Tuna was the star and they seared it perfectly. This was a great cut and fresh piece of Tuna. The sauces around the plate accompanied everything well too. I liked the Wasabi, Sweet Soy & Yuzu for the Tuna. I enjoyed the Spicy Mayo & Avocado smash for the Rice Balls. My only complaint was that it could have used a little more Tuna and one extra rice ball. The rest of my party seemed full from their meals while I found myself searching for more Crab Cake Sando - Delicious but the Crab Cake Tater Tots felt like enough Crab for the cape. This was a great kids dish Final Bill There was a 3.75% charge for using a credit card, 2% added tip for the cooking team and then line for tip. It just all gets out of hand quickly. In my opinion, these aren't cheap meals and too many restaurants now adays are pushing extra operational costs onto the customer when the meal prices seem high enough. What happens if we got drinks too?
