Knockoff Ketchup?
Peter D.

It's a diner, so I got my usual order of broiled rainbow trout and roast stuffed duckling. I'm sorry friend...I lied just there. I didn't order either of those things, and I don't know why this diner or any other diner has these things on the menu. I truly wonder whether or not they actually have ducklings back there, how long they've sat there, and who ordered the last one. It's a diner. You want breakfast foods, chicken fingers, burgers, grilled cheese, or fried appetizers. If you have an option when it comes to fries, go with the curly fries. Honey mustard beats barbecue sauce here, but get both and see for yourself. If you are feeling really frisky, get some Greek food, but only if they actually seem Greek. Our waitress handled our table of 15 with aplomb, and they didn't screw up my grilled cheese. That's about all you can ask for. ____________ P.S. The chicken fingers don't say it, but they come with fries. Which means you should ask for curly fries.

This was the best thing for us especially since we were in the area catching up with a few errands. Southeast G's chic, dark grey+black outside design is softened by flowers, the bar area has light wood flooring, large counter off to one side, tables and booths. The space honestly gives out an inviting atmosphere without feeling stuffy. There's also a dining area which faces the reservoir making it perfect for casual events/gatherings. The Tito's Raspberry Tom Collins called me. That sucker started refreshing and its strength soon crept up! My $16 salad with pan seared salmon was fantastic. The dressing was done simply in lemon+oil. Hubs' sliced hanger steak over potatoes, sautéed veggies and drizzled with an demi glace was his winning ticket- and at $20, he enjoyed it to the fullest. Unlike eateries with jacked up prices, this is a terrific all-in-one for us: fantastic prices+strong drink+tasty food. We really couldn't ask for more. These folks take their menu seriously. And by the way- our server Heather, was spot on and pleasant.

I understand shrimp with the shells and heads on, maybe off putting to some, however, I love it! In my culture shrimp with the head on is a delicacy, and I don't mind peeling it myself. They had multiple ready to eat/peeled shrimp dishes for those who prefer that. My daughters (adult daughters) enjoyed the crab legs, sushi, and fried dough. The price was very fair, and the service was phenomenal, especially for a buffet. They were quick and polite when taking our plates. If they continue to have duck and head on shrimp, I'll keep returning. Overall great food, service, and price!

More afraid of what I did not get especially the fish items. The sushi bar and the lobster as well as crawfish were screaming out " eat this and you will be in the emergency room in 20 minutes " All items were overcooked and dried out. The only food with Chinese seasoning was the Roast beef you cut yourself. You had part raw part med rare or well done. I knew it was going to be horrible because it was lime cutting a shoe to get a piece. I was right. Stuffed mushrooms 1/2 were sour 1/3 were buttery and weird. ShuMai awful. Instantly tasted rancid. I spit it in my hand and threw it out the window. Steamed pork bun had a tiny piece of pork meatball ins. It was very dry no flavor ( out the window) Kimchi loaded with sugar Eggplant loaded with sugar we'd loaded with sugar Stuffed mussels load with sugar. Everything was sweet!! Why?? I left the phone in my car if you saw the food you would understand that this place will not remain open very long. The one and only item I would ever go back here for is the Hot and Sour soup. Probably the best within 20 miles. Very authentic. Restaurant is very big very clean. Staff was very odd and unfriendly. But I'm used to that. I loved the front as it's a little marketplace with souvenirs. (0/10) Dear fellow Americans Chinese food is not sweet!!! Kimchi is not Chinese and oysters are not dry and dark ( scary)

Our server was Trudy and she was wonderful. She was friendly and helpful, she continued to check on our table to make sure everything was OK, just absolutely fantastic service. We did not even need to open the menu. At the very top of the "specials" menu, were two words... "beef goulash." *YES, PLEASE!!!* The goulash was amazing. The noodles were perfectly Al,dente, the beef was so tender, it almost melted like butter in our mouths, And the sauce had a wonderfully deep flavor. It also came with a cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, to addto it it was a wonderful addition. Neither of us finished our meal I got two meals out of mine, my partner got three out of hers. We were stuffed, but we could not go without a slice of the pie, so we took ours to go. My partner had the lemon meringue, and I had the pecan. Both were absolutely outstanding. My partner said that the lemon filling was nice and tangy, and she liked the fluffyness of the meringue. The pecan pie had plenty of pecans, , and it was so rich. The crust on both slices of pie were absolutely fluffy and light. We had our pie with our leftover goulash, but neither of us could finish our slices of pie, either they were so big. More leftovers for later. For all the food we got, plus the quality, the price was reasonable, and again, I got a military/veterans discount. Thank you again for an amazing meal.

Firstly, extremely understaffed and can tell the employees are miserable. Our waiter was unfriendly and very robotic. Clearly stressed managing multiple tables, this should not be an issue in a larger franchise like this. Second, Our food was atrocious. The boneless wings were the only manageable thing to get down. We ordered the chicken tenders and classic burger and both were sub par for what we paid. The food is lazy, downright disgusting at times and not worth the money. Our silverware was served to us with food particles from previous meals and clearly unsanitary. This is purely disgusting. Shame on the owner for allowing this. I feel bad for the clearly overworked employees but above all, this experience should NEVER happen to paying customers in any establishment.

We received our order super fast, and thought it tasted very good. So I'm surprised at the less-than-stellar reviews given for this diner, but then again, this place hasn't been reviewed very much, and certainly not very recently. Not sure when we would be in that area again, but we'd go back in a heartbeat.

So I thought my husband would enjoy it as well. I ordered my favorite, Benedict with a side order of fruit instead of the usual home fries. My husband on the other hand ordered eggs over easy with corn beef hash and hone fries. Both dishes were delicious. However, we did also order coffee, and both of us did not have refills. When the bill came, we were astounded to see that we were charged $3.50 per cup of coffee. Now, I don't know about you but I think that's an excessive amount for a regular diner cup of coffee. If I wanted a gourmet cup of coffee I wouldn't have minded paying that much. So, as a result of being charged an exorbitant amount for one measly little cup of coffee, which I didn't drink because it tasted burnt, is a bit ridiculous. Most Diners include coffee with your breakfast or for a lesser amount and refills are free. And for that reason, I give them a bad review.

Our service throughout the meal was excellent with both our server and the manager (or owner?) checking in consistently. I really liked the decor and music as well. The decor is minimalistic, but I really liked how clean everything felt. I asked about the music -- it was 80s and 90s rock like Journey and Elton John and it matched our tastes perfectly for the particular moment in time we were there. They said they use pandora and the music varies from night to night, but we were fans. The food is where things weren't quite up to 5 stars, which is why the rating. We started with an autumn (squash) soup and wedge salad. The soup was good or maybe even a little better than good, but not great. For me, the salad was the same way. It comes with candied bacon and that just doesn't fit the profile of bleu cheese and iceberg. I ended up eating the salad without the bacon and then having the bacon at the end as an "opening dessert." The salad was super fresh and the dressing was well done. And the bacon alone was delicious--just not great together for my palate. We went with a couple handmade pasta dishes as our mains and they were both good. Again, not quite great. I liked mine better than my wife's. That is sis's new favorite was well named to my mind. It was spicy, but not overly so and the tomato and broccoli added depth to the dish that was missing from my wife's pasta. I would 100% come back. If we do, I think we'd split a pasta and a main. Some of the fish dishes we saw go by looked fantastic. The one negative to me was an occasional whiff of marijuana. I'm totally fine with someone taking a break to calm themselves if that's what they need. I just don't want to smell that while I'm eating, especially in a restaurant that is otherwise very very nice.
