    I had a pretty rocky experience with CarMax this time around. Ordered a car for shipping to a different location, for it to arrive extremely damaged & late. I saw the car I wanted at the Tyler location & decided to drive out there instead of risking damage having it delivered again. Drove 2 1/2 hours there & got seen surprisingly quick after arriving. The initial guy we were working with was kind of up our butts while looking at it, he was very obviously new. We ended up dealing with Jordan for the actual sale, he was super patient & helpful. There were issues with the finance stuff that ended up holding us there way longer than intended, past closing time, but he definitely made it a pretty okay experience all things considered. Highly recommend dealing with him if you're looking for a smooth sale. As rocky as it was, I'm happy with how it all ended & now I'm home with my new car & hopefully won't have to deal with this process again for a while.

    Came with my sis to find a truck. Service is phenomenal. Just don't like how long it takes but that's every dealership. Our sales person was wonderful and very patient. They have a huuuuge selection of cars. This is a very very busy location with non-stop customers but they also have the man power to handle it. My sis found the truck she has been looking for.

    If I could give this dealership negative stars I would. This dealership will screw you over in any…read moreway that they can. They prey on people that have credit issues. The cars that they sell are junkers disguised as quality cars. In February of 2021 my husband and I were looking for a second vehicle. We usually buy used cash cars, but because we both had good jobs and wanted something newer we decided to go to a dealership and finance a vehicle. We already had a 2002 Suburban that was our staple vehicle, old Betsy was a workhorse, but we wanted a second car because of our job schedules and one that had better gas mileage. We went to several major dealerships, but because my credit in particular wasn't that good we got denied. We weren't originally thinking about Drivetime, but the commercials and ads that they run, made it seem like they were a quality and trustworthy dealership, boy are those ads wrong. We saw several cars on the lot that looked nice so we decided to drop in and take a look. We were working with about a $2000 down payment for a car. We test drove several and ultimately settled on a 2016 Chevy Equinox with 66,207 miles on it that was $14,695. Like I mentioned previously we usually buy cash cars and since my husband knows about cars, we do ask questions before we sign on the dotted line. One of the questions that we asked was if the car had ever been in any accidents, flooded, or anything like that. We also asked about structural damage, the title and all that. We asked a lot of questions. The salesman assured us that everything was good regarding the vehicle and even showed us a report that proved that. Since everything looked good and the car test drove good, we decided to purchase it. Our interest rate was sky high, but we knew that would be the case going in, so that was no surprise. The surprises came later. After having the car for about a year, we were looking to trade it in. We went to a reputable dealership and they ran a CarFax on the car and that's when we discovered that the car had in fact been in an accident and had flooded. We also discovered that the car had structural damage. The dealership that we were looking to trade the car into refused it because of the CarFax information. That's when we knew that DriveTime had snookered us. We've now had the vehicle for almost three years and no dealership will touch it. Just this month my huband was offered a great deal and a wonderful dealership and when the dealership did further research we discovered that the car had a salvage title before we bought it. That was again something that wasn't disclosed to us by DriveTime. We never would have bought the vehicle if we knew that it had ever had a salvage title. We are now stuck with this car that we don't want because no other dealership will take it as a trade in. Stay as far away from DriveTime as you can.

I wish I would have visited…read morebefore i purchased from Drivetime (WHICH I WILL NEVER DO AGAIN), nor recommend to anyone.. I purchased my family a Dodge Caravan and within 3-weeks the driver's side window motor failed... 2-weeks later the battery... and within a month and a half (about 2-months after purchase) my transmission failed.... The false statements made by these owners are not helpful, and are totally FALSE STATEMENTS. They (Mario S. Business Owner), (Matthew K. Business Owner), they say..."Please know that every pre-owned vehicle is inspected in an effort to prevent any mechanical malfunctions that might arise post-sale. In addition, proper levels and, cleanliness of fluids, and filters are also checked." How is this possible with all the problems faced with these vehicles.... plus your 30-day/1500 Warranty does not good when the consumer may live in excess of 500 miles from facility purchase... additionally the additional Warranty you offer through SilverRock is no better), of all the issues I had SilverRock's Warranty DID NOT COVER any issues and gave me problems with the Transmission,,, tried to send me to PepBoys and or American Tires to have my transmission done (which neither does tis type of mechanical work), and so I took it upon myself to take it to a Dodge Dealer and SilverRock denied the first claim asking for further info (codes, etc.) and then did not cover the out-of-network fee of $200... subsequently I paid over $5000 dollars within a month of have the vehicle for ( Transmission Mount [not covered under warranty]. (Engine Mounts [not covered under warranty], and a Catalytic Convertor [not covered under warranty].. SEE ALL Attachments Needless to say, this was the WORST purchase I have ever made and will never do business with this company again, and will certainly tell all I can about my experience... With all the calls I made to the company for explanation and or even a trade for car, all was ignored and denied... So I am subsequently stuck with a BAD purchase.... paying over $20, 000 for a vehicle based on Kelly Blue Book value of less than $7500.000 based on condition/mechanical problems reported on vehicle after purchase... so to say that you "refer your customers to have qualified ASE certified technicians that perform the proper diagnostics to determine what is needed to be repaired." IS A JOKE!!!!!! Respectfully, Jodi- @ DriveTime Customer Relations.... I wish I could attach the documents I have to show the extensive work needed just to have this vehicle.. So my question to the Owners and so-called customer relation folks... Who is going to reimburse me for all the monies I loss... Let me guess There is NOTHING you can do about this... and I would bet a million dollars that noon of you would even consider it...Which tells me that You all are NOT CONFIDENT in your business model of selling Quality vehicles... and you leave your Consumers to bare the cost, leaving consumers stranded with a Warranty that does nothing and pays out nothing....
