Stopped here on the way to Mammoth for the Beyond burger since I wasn't sure about vegetarian/vegan options in the area. I had to make eating fast since I was on a time crunch. We ordered 4 Beyond burgers and 4 fries, and they came out super fast! This was probably the best cooked Beyond burger I've had yet at all the Carl's I've had while on the road. Sometimes they are over cooked, but not today. Perfection! I also went and ordered an extra side while eating, and that also came out really fast. The people working at this location today were all very friendly. I saw the "lowest" stars for this location when looking for options to eat, so I wasn't expecting much but they really surprised me with the service today. Stopped here on the way to Bishop. Great service, friendly and fast. One sandwich was mistakenly wrong and they quickly corrected it and also gave us 3 cookies for the mishap. Business was clean as well as the restrooms. Would stop again! Ps Manager was also excellent! read more

After watching some bad movie on cable, I was pretty hungry. It was fairly late, and most of the proper sit-down restaurants had closed. Plus, I wanted to save some cash. After scouting out downtown Lone Pine for potential dinner options, I recalled seeing a Carl's Jr. sign not too far from the Dow Villa hotel where I was staying. I began walking, but for the first time in about ten years, I really wished I had a coat. It gets really cold in Lone Pine after the sun sets. I quickly changed my mind and hopped in the car. After driving the few hundred feet to get there, I parked and visually inspected the place. This Carl's Jr was a bit of an anomaly. In addition to the fast food joint I've come to love and appreciate, it was also a gas station. I got out of the car, and entered. The place was empty. Two employees chatted quietly as I walked up to the counter. There was a guy just ahead of who me began paying for his gas. One of the employees helped him out as I reviewed the menu board. It was quite familiar and very easily readable. I decided to give one of their new thick burgers a try. I even had a coupon I had printed out earlier in the week. I handed her my coupon, and requested a jalapeno thickburger on their new bun. I don't know if they even still have their old bun. I paid, and then waited a few minutes for my meal. It was a heavy bag that got handed to me. I picked it up, and returned to my car with it. The burger was quite good. They put a decent amount of jalapeños on the burger. The Pepper jack cheese and Santa Fe sauce added their elements to the burger to increase the tasty levels. It lived up to its name nicely. The fries were as good as I recalled, and the iced tea was cold, and washed down the meal nicely. Carl's Jr. is still my go-to place to get a solid burger at a decent price. ...and you can get gas here too. (For your car too.) read more

A convenient stop after coming down from a weekend in the hills, not only for their delicious double bacon westerns, but also for their attached gas station. A gas station and Carl's Jr, seriously, how can you beat that?! Food is consistently not bad and the staff is usually small town friendly. My only gripe is that the bathroom lacks a mirror, and has for quite a number of years now. Please fix your mirror so that I can wipe all of the lovely Sierra Nevada dirt off of my face. read more

I was worried about eating here because of the bad reviews but there aren't a lot of options in lone pine for something fast. I was pleasantly surprised, the food was quick and tasty and service was friendly. The restaurant and bathroom were all clean and we were able to fill up on gas at the same time. I'd definitely stop again on the way to Mammoth. read more

Other than the usual mistakes (no bbq sauce, upside down fries), the drive thru attendant, Julie, was very rude and my Bbq chicken burger looked like the core of yellow iceburg lettuce on a bun. This place has really gone downhill. read more

The chicken tenders and the milkshake were good but the fries were soggy and the burger was "eh". We also weren't a fan of the price. $18 for a small chicken tender combo, an Oreo shake and their regular cheeseburger. We thought it was a bit much for being fast food. read more

I eat at every Carl's Jr. I run across. This one has been the best in the last 20 years. Mammoth had a good Carl's but now they are horrible. This Carl's in Lone Pine is now the best in Cali. My double Western Bacon was made good, tasted like it should and the staff were friendly. Good job for a restaurant chain that is going down hill for 20 years. Seems to me that they don't charbroil the burgers anymore but rather paint the black lines in the patty and microwave it making it taste awful. This Carl's in Lone Pine is my stop at place for the burgers when traveling down the 395. Good job, keep up the service and good food. read more

I try not to eat fast food but I like this Carl's Jr. the staff is ALWAYS so friendly!! They have great customer service. The food is also always hot and it never tastes like something that's been sitting out for awhile like some other fast food places. Fast food joints don't usually call for a Yelp review. But the staff were super friendly and my food was ready as quick as one would expect from fast food. The quality of my breakfast was on par with any Carl's Jr but I would come back here because I felt more welcome then at a local cafe down the road. read more

Straight up nasty. Didn't eat here. My family has been on a long road trip and this bathroom is the most disgusting so far. The floor was covered in what looked like pee and toilet paper outside the stall. Only stall working was over flowing with feminine hygiene products. An employee came out of the stall without flushing or washing her hands on the way out and my husband said she went right behind the counter when she left the bathroom! Disgusting. Visited this restaurant after a long hike up Mt. Whitney. We both had a lettuce wrapped Jalapeno burger, which was fresh and tasty, with a good sauce and juicy meat. The fries were good too. Service was friendly and the restaurant is modern and clean. I was hoping for some soda water, but they just had sugary drinks. There are possibilities for improvement too. The men's room was really dirty, with a lot of old stains. It was warm outside but the first thing I did after ordering was go back to the car and get a couple of sweaters. While I would normally not review a Fast food joint I feel compelled. I would give this place no stars if possible. Moldy hamburgers and raw crisscut fries. I am really hoping I don't get food poisoning especially since I am a nursing mom and my daughter is dependent on me for her food. Great service and friendly staff. I was surprised by these reviews, and believe they deserve much higher marks. They were very welcoming, and they even offered to cut the cheeseburger in half for our children when they realized they were sharing a meal. Well as we walked in there was a warning sign that said there could possibly be chemicals known to the state of CA that can cause cancer and birth defects, appetizing... The two stars are because there were ants crawling over the soda fountain, also appetizing! The food Tasted good but all I could think about was ants and cancer. The staff was friendly although one of the cooks had her two kids at the front table... Won't be stopping here for food ever again. read more

This is a shady Carl's Jr. They don't tell you that medium is an up charge of $0.80 on a combo. They simply ask "is medium okay"? Asked them about it and they act as if they did nothing wrong. A group of guys in front of us had the same issue as well. They should inform the customer that it's an up charge for medium. read more

There isn't much else that's fast and decent along this stretch of highway, so I've stopped a couple times. It can get busy during peak traveling months, so be prepared for a line. The food is what you can expect from a Carl's Jr., which is better than some other fast food joints. The people working are always nice. read more

This is your typical Carl's Jr - nothing out of the ordinary. The cashier looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if I could just have a small kid's hamburger with a salad. I know they're big on their big burgers but geez, not everyone wants one. The food was fine. I'm not fond of fast food but we were looking to get out of the heat at our campsite so we stopped here. No one there, but yet I waited longer for service and food. The manager waited on me...no smile, no greeting and no thank you. Then the drive thru gal gave me the food, totally expressionless and again no greeting of any sort. Watched people wait to order with out any acknowledgement from any of the staff. Ordered the grass fed burger and a famous burger with onion rings. The burger patties were cold and partially uncooked. I could not eat it. Onion rings were ok. Best part of our dinner was the Fuze raspberry tea. Hard to find good raspberry tea while traveling. Will stick to McDonald's from now on if we can't find an In n Out. read more

Carl's Jr. has always been a fast food favorite. Dirty bathrooms are a typical thing of fast food restaurants so that wasn't my complaint. The lack of sanitary tables and seating to eat at wasn't all too well. I didn't enjoy the service at all. The lady who took our order had a rude tone when we ordered our meals but I guess that's just typical for a fast food employee who is in their late 20s or early 30s. Our go-to place when in Lone Pine. First time we were here and it wasn't packed, the only ones there. Only complaint is that the cooks need to learn their orders or read them right, maybe speak better English? Hubby ordered a Chicken club as usual and we got a bbq one. On our way to mammoth stopped 2 eat lunch.bearly anyone there and they still got our food wrong plus there was dead flies allllll over the floor.discusting !! We were concerned plus other people as well because flies were everywere!!!! Also people were mad there was no rating in window!!?? January 7, 2018 First of all, Ive never waited in line for our food for this long ever! Literally took 30 minutes after we already paid through the drive thru. Ordered two Chicken sandwiches, one BBQ grilled and one chicken fillet. Tomato wasn't fresh and I was skeptical at first. Sure enough....my husband and I both got Food Poisoning hour later.
