I eat at Jersey Mike's back home fairly regularly. I like stopping here on our drive because it's a bit fresher than drive thru. But I might not - I know everyone is experiencing inflation. But I happened to notice that my regular ham and cheese was nearly $19. I realized I had asked for extra cheese (and extra 2 slices) and was charged 3.99. (That's some expensive provolone!) Sorry it's just not worth it for some stale bread and lunch meat. read more

Unreal experience from the gentleman serving us on Saturday, August 23, 2025, around 4 p.m. Clearly we were not the focus or his behavior is allowed by management/ownership. Our plan was to return to this establishment at the end of our hiking week, but after that rude encounter, we settled for McDonalds!!! Come on, man. read more

This particular Jersey Mikes is actually located inside a convenience store and you might miss it unless you know what you are looking for. I've stopped here a few times on my way up Highway 395. I did not see any indoor dining here, but did notice they have some outside tables. This particular location is probably best suited for take out. One nice thing is that you can also pick up some additional items at the convenience store while you are there. The sandwiches here are basically the same as you'll probably get at any other Jersey Mikes location. The prices seemed a little higher, which is probably reasonable given this somewhat more remote location. I ordered the mini sub with tuna and it cost me $10.45. Jersey MIkes sandwiches seem to offer much better quality than their competitors, and the one nice thing is that you can have your sandwich customized to your liking and watch them actually build it right in front of you. read more

So given that I was out all day and was getting back to the hotel late and my choices were limited (lets face it I would rather have a cup-o-noodles than a McMeal) I gave these guys a try and came away pleasantly surprised. It also violated one of our culinary rules about eating prepared food from a gas station. First off the staff was super friendly, worked fast but got the sandwiches right, and paid attention to glove changes and the like. The sandwiches follow a common theme. Bread baked in house, but at JM's the meat and cheese is sliced per order. I did go back multiple times and on occasion they were out of an item (given its rather remote locations it does not get daily supply drops) the staff were quick to make suggestions to sub in. this is the worst service ever!! the prices of this place make it like it's 5 5-star dining. i do not recommend this place or the store that it's in they charge whatever price they see fit. not one thing is marked, and it's always different. also, when you drop the knife you're using, it should be washed, not reused. if they had a negative star rating, that is what i would give read more

Stopped for lunch before heading out after a weekend of hiking. It was great. The food prepped did an amazing job loading up the sandwich, beautifully placing toppings and wrapping up the giant sandwich we ordered. It got even better enjoying the goats outside under the trees while we ate. read more

Haven't been here in a few years. Wasn't very good before, but I decided to give it another try. Ordered the portabella mushroom veggie sandwich. Didn't realize until I went to eat it later that he forgot to put the mushrooms on. So it was $13 for a piece of bread with some lettuce, tomato, a cpl pickle slices and a slice of cheese. Was really looking forward to that mushroom sandwich. Should have gone to the Subway down the street. read more

Whenever we head to Mammoth, we make a mandatory pit stop at this store to grab a few subs to enjoy during our trip. Despite the usual weekend frenzy, the team of 2-3 at Lone Pine manages to handle the crowds as efficiently as possible. Most JM's have 5+ working, but I completely understand, it's a small town. Their hard work in this small town is evident in the delicious sandwiches they serve up. So, to those who may find themselves frustrated by the lines, remember to appreciate the hardworking staff. Still had 6 hours till we got back to LA so decided to stop here for a quick bite. I was a bit confused on the ordering process but I was born confused so just went with the tuna sandwich. The gentleman who attended me was friendly & very quick on making my sub. They are very limited on toppings but that's probably due to the location. I got the basics; lettuce, tomatoes, onions & peppers. The sandwich was fresh & tasty. Definitely better then subway & I love subway sandwiches. Things to note: - They offer wheat, white, rosemary parm & gluten free bread - They sell bowls & wraps - They have chipotle sauce & other sauces - This is probably the best sandwich spot in the area ! 14 giant subs ended up with the bottom half of the bread being soggy. Picked up the sandwiches about 3-4 hours after placing order. Repacked subs individually by quarters (removing the soggy ones)for about 30 people. Was told subs would not be made with condiments & Mike's juices (no vinegar or oil). Received the packets of condiments & vinegar & oil separately. That was great. The subs that where the bread was totally soggy we threw away, Since the subs were cut quarters, we were able to savage some. Came up short. Won't do that again. read more

Eat at Jersey Mike's all the time. LOVE their #7 sandwich (turkey & provolone). Wanted a hot sandwich this time. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak. Instead of a "hot meal" --- it was a HOT MESS!! Ugh! I took two small bites and just tossed it in the trash. $10.00 sandwich with a tip. Wish I took a photo of the sandwich, a picture says a thousand words. I'm not sure if the guys making it screwed up. Seem it was beef either pre-cut and fried/warmed up. Or previously fried and microwaved. UGH -- just awful. I'm glad I tossed it. Might have averted a brush with food poisoning. BUT the guys working their were super nice. Trying to do their best. Maybe they are not fully trained or need a refresher course. If you walk in and there is a line, quickly turn around and walk out and leave. We stopped to grab a sandwich and there was a line so we expected a wait. However, after 45 minutes with the line barely moving at all, we gave up and left. I've seen lines three times as long move through other places in about 15 minutes. I know that it is hard to find good help these days but this was ridiculous. As I do quite often in channel islands/oxnard jersey mikes, I ordered a sandwhich to pickup. I always get all the toppings on the side (so the sandwhich doesn't get soggy) as I eat the sando the next day while fishing (this time in mammoth). One star (otherwise "0" stars") because they were actually starting to make my sandwich on time when I got there. ......But I saw her putting toppings on it. I asked if it was mine and when she said yes, I told her that I needed the toppings on the side and had very clearly requested that in my order. She looked very confused--I had her get the order ticket and showed her the request in the "notes" section. She still didn't understand --I honestly think she couldn't read--at least not english. I told her it was ok to leave the onions and lettuce (I never ordered lettuce) on the sando--wrap it up and I would leave. She proceeded to wipe mayo on the top bun. Things decompensated at that point---I told her to take that mayoed top off--get me a new top bun wrap it up and I would leave. Then she got a big to go box and placed lettuce and started to slab mayo in it (really-- no to go packets or at least in a little to go cup like every other restaurant in the world has figured out). This Jersey Mike's location far exceeded our expectations. Despite being located in a convenience store, the experience was the same, if not better, then what you would get at a free standing location. The restaurant was clean and the ingredients were all fresh. The crew was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Both our sandwiches were delicious. It was a nice fresh option from the fast food places we usually stop at. The convenience store it is located in was also very clean and well stocked. There is a great porch out front with tables and also a grassy area out back. We will definitely make this a regular stop when traveling on 395! read more

Took incredibly long, we almost walked out. Cutting board wasn't wiped off properly once in our 20min wait. The shorter gentleman with the tattoos appeared to be the only employee trying to get our food ready as fast as possible while the other four were noticeably taking their time as the line grew almost outside of the building, not due to rush, but due to overall slowness on their part. The food has been fine the 3 or 4 times I've eaten here. I get the Philly cheesesteak and it's just as tasty as other Jersey Mike's locations, but for the second time in a row, they were closed, despite their hours saying they are open until 9pm. It was 8:01pm when I got here, and not only are they closed, everything is put away and cleaned up, like they've been closed for a while. I could have eaten somewhere else on my way to Mammoth, but I waited to eat here. Now it's going to be hard to find something else to eat before everything closes. Its okay if they want to close at 7pm, but don't post hours saying you're open until 9pm!!! Probably just trying to lure more people into the gas station to pay for their overpriced fuel. read more

After driving up here multiple times and never being able to spot the "Jersey Mike's" that the billboards warn you about from 50 miles away we were finally able to find the "knock off Jersey Mike's". Better and bigger signs would definitely attract more customers, however having only 1/4 of the normal Jersey Mikes menu will probably turn people away like it did to us. read more

I'm a regular at Jersey Mike's in the Los Angeles area. I'm always impressed with the food quality and the employee efficiency. However this Jersey Mike's in Lone Pine is a mess. I was returning home from Mammoth to LA on a Sunday in January and decided to stop here. The management should know to be properly staffed on a high traffic day during ski season. But nope, this location only had 3 employees. 2 of them seemed to be lost much of the time. One female employee couldn't speak English resulting in communication issues with employees and customers. One employee walked off to help an employee of the adjoining gas station. The Jersey Mike's line was big maybe 15 customers. Even a 3 employee shop should have been able to handle that. But not at this location. They were extremely slow. Normally I'd leave and find another option, but Lone Pine is a small town with limited options so I decided to stick it out. But I'll probably never go there again. Waiting 30-40 minutes for their sandwich is not worth it. read more
