Ordered a Margarita Pizza. Owner requested I pay for it upon arrival for pick up as pie was still in oven. Owner took it from the oven and was going to box it and send it away. I remarked I think the basil is missing. He remarked "we only use fresh ingredients and can't get fresh basil. " Aside from the fact that fresh basil is available at the ACME across the street; charging full price for a pizza with missing one of the two primary ingredients .....well...does't say much for a concern for product quality, as well as, owner integrity. Located right next to the Devon Wawa. Paid about $14 for a cheesesteak and chicken fingers + fries. We definitely got a good value for what we paid. (Order was about $2 to $6 cheaper than the same thing at any similar place nearby.) Quality is decent, good for the price. The cheesesteak was flavorful and on a fresh roll. Cheese was well-proportioned as were onions. Meat tasted like meat (not a water bath like many other places). Needed salt, but that's easy to fix. Chicken fingers and fries were good quality. All white breast meat, cooked to be tender and flavorful. (No stringiness, or toughness, and no cartilage or other mystery stuff that sometimes gets hidden under the crust and grosses you out when you take a bite.) Crust was nice and crispy. Very pleased. You get only 4 fingers, but also a decent amount of fries, and for $6 that's a great deal. Loved the honey-mustard sauce as well! Fries were a winner too! NO batter-dipped or "coated" junk on them. Perfectly crispy, normal old fries! Yum! Staff was pleasant and friendly and was really patient with all my questions as a new customer. Being new to the area I stumbled across this pizzeria. Being in a hurry, I was looking for a few slices and a drink to go. I ordered 2 Buffalo chicken slices and a coke. The slices are quite big, and the buffalo chicken was dripping with greasy Buffalo sauce. I saw they had STACKS of large and small boxes already folded and ready, which is common for pizza joints. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A SMALL BOX FOR MY 2 LARGE SLICES DRIPPING WITH GREASY SAUCE. I CALMLY PUSHED BACK - THEY STILL REFUSED. THEY PUT THE 2 SLICES ON A PAPER THIN PAPER PLATE (CLEARLY WAY TOO SMALL FOR THE 2 SLICES) AND THEN IN A PAPER BAG. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. The manager or owner who was working in the back heard my request, came forward, and tried to explain that as a result of the Baltimore bridge accident, the supply chain of boxes has been impacted. My order was $13. I wanted to walk away, but being in a hurry I walked out with the paper bag, which ultimately got soaked with grease and made a mess. Pepperoni pizza seemed identical to when it was Spizzaco. Quality seems hit or miss depending on the day and food item much like Spizzaco. The biggest difference between Carla's and Spizzaco seems to be the price, it is much higher now. Quality will need to become much more consistent in order for me to return. When I didn't want to drive for a pizza I would gamble every once in a while with Spizzaco as at least it was cheap. read more

The food tasted good but then I found a black hair so I called back and I told them I was apparently talking to the owner and he was so rude and starting arguing with me saying that that's not possible he even started yelling at me. at the end of the day I will not be going back here and I do not recommend anyone to go there the customer service what horrible and like I said I got yelled at for their mistake and I didn't get my money back. The proprietors of this establishment are downright nasty. They have no business serving the Wayne community. On more than one occasion, the younger son (I'm presuming) has yelled at and berated myself and other close friends and family members for simple requests for toppings on the side, or even accidentally parking in "their" parking spot which was not labeled at all whatsoever. Also, their food is sub-par (and you can also see the numerous health code violations documented in public record). I grew up in NYC, where the first place we go when we're hungry is the pizzeria. Spizzico is a *real* pizzeria, where the food is always fresh and tasty. You know a good pizzeria when they've got non stop phone orders and deliveries. I live a couple blocks away, so I like to drive there, order, and drive home with the pizza. Although Carlas is takeout only I definitely still recommend for a nice Sunday evening, while watching the Birds smoke the Cowboys on prime time, or whenever you prefer your takeout. It has just about anything you can think of on the menu for those diverse food group families and must I say a pretty darn good slice of pizza. They're quick to have your food ready and in a prime location with a downside of almost no parking. Cheese Fries we're top notch and the sandwiches are everything one would ask for. Best pizza in the Delaware Valley. My go to is a slice of the Buffalo and a slice of the Veggie with a cold soda, usually wild cherry Pepsi. I've had it since my first time and I'm not messing with my winning combo! Their other pizzas look good too and I'll try them someday, but for now, my usual hadn't disappointed me yet. Perfect crust.
